Excellent Experience As Always
The food was excellent as usual and after a big snafu The manager Tony came out and comped us for practically an entire new meal plus drinks! We’ve been coming here for almost 3 decades and it’s always been consistent.
Food was good but service rushed us out
Had a reservation, was seated promptly. Service was excellent and the meal was phenomenal.
It was a wonderful Valentines Day that was made even better with great food and service. I was seated less that ten minutes after my reservation which was great on such a busy day.
Typically a great place to go but I suppose that’s not the case for Hallmark holidays. Was going to a quick casual v-day dinner and we were seated in a room with three rows of tables for 2 people each. There was one server for the entire room and it just felt awkward and cheesy. Our appetizer came out so late, the manager did apologize and comp it, however it wasn’t enough to make up for the horrible ambiance that we sat through. You could tell they were just churning through tables trying to get as much business as possible, which I can totally respect, but the execution was poor. The food also came out late and then was just sitting on the trey that it came from from the kitchen before the waiter came to serve us. The food quality was good, as it always is but just a really bad experience because of the ambiance and service. I would have liked to have been given an option to sit in the main dining area because for me and my partner, it would have been better. It just felt so cheesy and awkward to be in the small room with 3 rows of tables. It really just was a bad look. Probably will take a break from going there and will just order in when needed.
We ask for a romantic table and they choose to put us next to the office where all the waiters where chatting... and the service was to slow, we had to wait more than 1 hour to eat ..... not very good night to celebrate san valentine
Overall restaurant was great. The only downfall was the desert. My wife and I ordered the cannollis. They were just ok. They were prefilled cannolis and not fresh.
Very friendly staff. The food is really good. Ambiance is excellent. Our valentine dinner is wonderful. Thanks Tony and staff. A highly recommended restaurant.
The best family style I have been to!! Definitely will come back for more.
Everything was great. The staff, especially the maître d’ Tony and our waitress Tina, were excellent. They were very responsive to our special requests and gave us a nice private area downstairs. The food was very good and a good value. The one dish we were dissatisfied with was complementary. Terrific!
Simply The best!! The food, the staff, the ambiance
It is always our go to Italian restaurant! The food is consistently good, ambience is festive, depending the time you go. The earlier you go, the quieter, later, the noise level rises. Great service!
This time we shared the evening with dear friends who’s anniversary is the same time as ours. It was our 35th anniversaries, collectively and we chose Tony’s.
The managers went the extra mile and sent over two deserts with lit candles, totally unexpected! Our friends loved it!
Thank you Jesse and Segita. Though Tony wasn’t there that evening, you guys are the best! Great meal!
Arlene & Shelly
Everything was amazing!
Food was good but lukewarm. Waiter was terrible. We had 12 people and had virtually no service. He was cranky and disinterested.
Great service, good food, fair wine selection
Always great food and always consistent with great value.
Food was great! Family style is the way to go for big parties.
Food is very good, family style and service is always excellent.
The food was very good, out waiter Steve was excellent!!
It was to celebrate a birthday. Everything was amazing the starters, the meal and the dessert. Our server Ryan was funny and amazing. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Good family-style Italian with large portions, a good variety of choices, and fair prices. You do not leave hungry!
Have been here several times. Disappointed this time with the food. The red tomato sauce was bland. The eggplant was bland. The penne ala vodka was just ok and did not have enough sauce. The chicken picata was very good.
Love going to Tony’s. Always consistently great.
Friday date night little rowdy and noisy but it was 6:30. Families and kids.
Went Saturday prior but at 8:30 and the table was perfect and the noise level and crowd great. Food is very good and a good value for NYC!
I’ve been to Tony’s many times in the past and after my experience on Friday night it is safe to say I will never return. To start the evening the rude hostess asked repeatedly when our fifth guest would arrive despite being told that our entire party was present. Apparently she wasn’t able to see my young daughter from where she was standing so instead of listening she just obnoxiously asked until I lifted my daughter to her view. Next we were seated at one of three tables in the “hallway” instead of the main dining room. Our view was a filthy staircase the wait staff use to troll up and down and some blue recycling bins. There was a private party in the room to the right. The very loud guests utilized the small bar and mingled next to our table the entire evening drinking bottled beer, laughing and having an awesome time. Unfortunately no one at my table could hear themselves think! I’m all for celebrating special occasions and of course management should have known better then to use this area for other diners. The waiter was aloof. The food was meh. The bill was wrong and we were charged with items not ordered. There are too many excellent restaurants in this city for such a lousy experience. Overall this place is a disappointment.
We were seated right away and the service was prompt and efficient. Our waiter was attentive and very professional. The food was amazing.
Tony's Di Napoli is a great choice for a neighborhood Italian restaurant with attentive skilled service and good food. The serving style facilitates sharing. Fried calamari was perfectly done and accompanying marinara sauce was good but not the best you ever tasted. Eggplant parmesan was prepared well with thin slices well fried but perhaps slightly over breaded for our tastes. White clam sauce was excellent and veal piccata was good as well. Overall Tony's is a place I will not hesitate to return to when I am in the mood for a convenient reliable Italian dinner.
Excellent food and outstanding service. We can not wait to return. Best martinis in the city.
Food was great, a little noisy at first.
Tony DiNapoli on the Eastside is one of our favorite places for a nice Italian American meal when we are in New York. The food is always very good, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is typical New York. We normally split a half meal and a half salad and barely have room for the wonderful tiramisu dessert. It’s an excellent choice and you can’t go wrong with Tony’s.
The bar is very nice, and the bartender. But when we went to eat, we ask for fettuccini alfredo and it was really bad.
Everything was wonderful! Service, food presentation, and food quality.
Great vibe and atmosphere. Family but also date appropriate. Great meatballs! Enormous portions and very good value for nyc.
Will be back after “dry January “ to challenge the bar!
We were a party of 5 and the food is served family style. The chicken parm was the best I have had.
One person is a very picky eater and she loved it. She kept going back for more. The service was top notch. The waiter was there whenever we needed or wanted him. Our water glasses were always full. It has been a while since we ate there. I forgot how good it was and I can't wait to go back.
Love this place. The staff, pasta, eggplant, everything. The family atmosphere is welcoming
Love this restaurant. Delicious food and always a great service . Will be back soon with friends again
Love Tony D’s!! This is one of my favorite NYC restaurants!! I’ve been enjoying the food and service here for over 20 years.
Service was fantastic! Great recommendations from our waiter. Great selection of wines. Food was fantastic!
Zucchini was burnt. Veal was tough. Service was rushed. At one point drink glass was actually pulled out of my wife's hand before she was finished. Waiter decided to place entire chicken portion in front of my wife taking her plate away after we said we were sharing between 3 people. I have been here many times, usually excellent, but this time not enjoyable
