Birthday at Tony’s fantastic 👍🏻😎
The food was great as well as the service, even though we had a reservation for 4 and arrived on time we had to wait 30 minutes, that was stressful as we had a show to catch . For our birthday celebration it was fine but hard to talk, it was very loud I wouldn't recommend if you want s quiet evening
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in the city. The only reason I gave the food a 4, is because there's so much of it. When they say a feeds two to three people, I ain't kidding. I will say though, we were sitting in the back corner so it wasn't as noisy as I imagine it probably is when you're more in the center of the restaurant.
We had a great dinner. The prices are very reasonable for Manhattan, and the portions were very large. You can definitely split a pasta dinner or meat/ chicken dinner. The atmosphere was authentic, people talking and carrying on conversations. The restaurant was full, so the noise level was average. The Hot Antipasto was outstanding. It had stuffed mushrooms, clams casino, fried shrimp etc. We had linguini with shrimp, and a garlic sauce. It was very good. In addition, we had eggplant parmigiana, which was very good. The service was great. I would definitely return to Toni’s and I would highly recommend it.
Fun atmosphere, excellent fresh food and great service.
Service could be better. Almost as if we were stupid not knowing about Tonys system of sharing foods.
Good food but too much noise
Excellent food at good price. Good service. Highly recommended
No matter how many times I've been to Tony DiNapoli's, I hardly ever wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. The food is top notch & reasonable!!!
We’ve been dining here for several years. The service is excellent. Unfortunately however, while the food is always delicious, this evening everything was served lukewarm. By the time we finished a course it was actually cold. I would have given the food review an additional star were it not for this issue.
Tony’s is reliably delicious and fun!
If you're a real Italian foodie, this place is definitely meh. While they have large portions and the price was not bad for the food portions, the food was just ok. I'm a huge Italian foodie, foodie in general and there's something to be said for good red sauce...it's basic but it tells you a lot about whether the food is going to be good.
I’ve been dining at Tony’s whenever in New York to see a show or just for the day. Always excellent service and food. Recommended Tony’s to several of my friends and family.
As always Tony's is never a disappointment. Service and food the best!
Amazed by the amount of food for the price. Family style is fun, being able to try a few different items. Fun ambiance!
Food was great and the service as well. The atmosphere is very friendly (and loud)
Bring your whole family or all your friends to share huge portions of terrific Italian food.
The service is very efficient and knowledgeable (thanks Robin). They will get you out in time to see your show.
Yes, it's really noisy and the tables are close together, but this is NYC.
Food was delicious as always! Good servers always a pleasure eating here!
Tony's is consistently good. My daughter is gluten free and they happily substitute a delicious gluten free pasta into any pasta dish. You can order to suit any tastes. Servings are meant to be shared. For example for three of us, all big eaters, we got two appetizers and on e pasta entree and it was all we could eat. For foodies I would suggest their house made Burrata appetizer (two large balls) which comes with a quality prochuetto, olives, roasted peppers, hard cheese, toasts. Just this alone with a couple of glasses of wine mades a nice pre-theater dinner. If they have the grilled (vs. fried) calamari and shrimp appetizer on special which they often do, that is another amazing fit for foodies dish-- enough for 2-3 as an appetizer or a hearty entree for one. Other than these two favorite appetizers, the eggplant and veal is a favorite entree. The quality and service are dramatically better than the other popular shared entree Italian restaurant in Times Square, Carmines, which is fine for families with kids but definitely not foodie quality.
Perfect place to dine with a group before a show!
Everything was excellent, apart from the food portions. They don’t quite work for two people, there was far too much food (and I have a big appetite). Our chicken special dish would have easily catered for 3/4 people and at very least we should have been warned not to have a starter.
The food is amazing! And I'm french, so I know a lot about good food :D
Food was wonderful as always, ambiance was very good and typical of New York.
I have being visiting NYC for the past 10 years and I always ate at Tony’s. It is what New York used to be as well as what is now and hopefully in the future!!!
The food the service and the ambiance make Tony’s the one opportunity to taste NY the correct way!!
Reservations very strongly recommended. Even though it was Saturday evening and the restaurant was full we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time.
Food was amazing and plentiful. Sangria was delicious. Only negative is that the restaurant is extremely noisy. It's impossible to have a quiet conversation. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We have been here many times over the years and Tony's NYC never disappoints us. The food is great (Shrimp / Artichoke Oreganata especially) and it is a great value for Midtown Manhattan. It is close to theatres and right in the heart of Times Square.
Have been coming to Tony's for 15 years. Always a pleasure.
Great! Christian our waiter was friendly & a great service provider.....it was a pre matinee lunch, we had a relaxing delicious lunch
At a reasonable price, with wine & dessert, we will return!
Was a great time. Food was awesome, fresh and an experience. Value was excellent.
Great waiter and staff. Had a show to catch and they provided my group with great food and quick service.
My friend and I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and a special mushroom ravioli. The waitress recommended ordering two plates for the both of us even though the menu says each dish feeds 2-3 people. We had way too much food for two. We practically wasted a whole plate of the rigatoni. The ravioli was to die for and probably the best I’ve ever had. The rigatoni wasn’t all that special and I wouldn’t order that if I ever went back. The waitress was a bit blunt and lacked personality. I was disappointed that lasagna was not on the menu because that is my favorite Italian dish. I would definitely go back for the ravioli!
Was recommended this restaurant before we travelled to New York - excellent authentic Italian food - well worth a visit
It was wonderful!
Great food at a great price.
Good location; classic interior-love the B’way-inspired drawings. Wait staff was attentive, for the most part. Red Sangria was excellent. Strange thing-the Shrimp Francaise was really good; the Chicken Parm was borderline awful. Indescribable-and such an easy dish. How can an Italian place serve such horrific chicken parm? So, because who knows how good or bad the other seemingly no-brainer but somewhat overpriced menu items would be, I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.
We were treated very kindly by everyone from the hosts to the waitstaff. The food was very good. The Pasta Bolognese and the side dish Spinach sauteed in olive oil and garlic with lemon were delicous! We had a great time!
Manager rush our dinner time.
