Tony's Di Napoli - Midtown
In all of our visits to NYC this is the first time seeking out a top Italian place. I was happy with the decision. Good wine list and a ton of options for food. They do family style, each entree serving 2-3 people. The fried mozzarella appetizer was not your standard "fried cheese sticks", it was legit mozzarella and delicious sauce. The salad was alright. The spaghetti and sauce were outstanding, though the meatballs seemed a little dry, maybe overdone. The only other complaint I had wasn't with the restaurant itself, but it seems to be a popular spot for families, and both families beside us couldn't seem to control their young kids, and another nearby couldn't be either. It could be that the loud atmosphere makes them think it's ok to yell and act like it's a playground. Regardless it seemed to not be isolated to just one or two. So don't come expecting a nice romantic dinner.
Always head to Tony’s when visiting the city. We come for the bread but love all the food!! Found out this time we could order half portions, never did that before. It was just enough then we didn’t have to carry delicious smelling leftovers into the theater!!! We will be back.....
Great location, fun ambiance, busy and food is served family style which is great when in a group but i thought the food was so marginal.....pastas really were blah no flavor and salads the same .....our favorite part was our wine and our corner table that was part booth !! I will try one more time and try a chicken dish ....
Booked for 8.30 told we had to wait 30 minutes for a table! Disgraceful
Very disappointed. Had to wait almost one hour after our reservation to be seated. Kept being told "any minute now". No concern or apologies from any staff.
Food was mediocre. Large portions, but very average in taste.
Restaurant location next to Times Square is the only reason I can imagine keeps this restaurant in business.
Do not recommend.
I have made a visit here before in the pass which was an amazing experience. Unfortunately this time was not so good. Food was okay but not how it was before. I am not going to be going back to this restaurant.
Second time in New York. Second time to eat at Tony’s. I went with three friends who loved the food and couldn’t praise the restaurant enough. Although the place was packed, our reservation was honored on time and service was excellent. We had chicken parmigiana and spaghetti and meatballs. I highly recommend Tony’s.
Wonderful atmosphere and did not disappoint! Great sauce and service. Worth the trip!
Excelente, comida deliciosa. Las porciones son abundantes, se sugiere para compartir.
Tony’s is a famous restaurant in NY so it was a must on our list when we visited from London. We tried to get a table on one night when we were there, and there was a 2hr wait, so we made a reservation for the following evening online. The restaurant is huge, 2 large floors, with full tables through out of big groups, and couples too. The waiting service was excellent, our waiter was extremely knowledge about the food on offer, attentive and had the real NY American persona.
All dishes on the menu are advertised for 2-3 people, we ordered the black squid seafood pasta. As much as it was delicious, there was far too much for 2 people, more suitable for 4 people. I wouldn’t generally moan about too much food, however we didn’t really touch the sides and it felt like quantity over quality and felt guilty leaving so much rich seafood that will probably just be thrown away afterwards.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is fabulous , and its a lovely place, the menu just lends itself more to large groups than couples, individuals.
The food is amazing, the aviance and service is great Worth the wait
The veal parm and chicken francese was delicious. Good service. Great place before or after the theatere .
Nicole our server was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Everything was perfect!
Made a reservation through open table for 6, and we were seated right on the reservation time. Pleasantly greeted, Wait Staff was EXCELLENT, friendly, quick remembered our orders and made us feel like they wanted us to come back. Food was excellent, nice atmosphere, good value, Highly recommend.
Four if us were travelling over from England for my 50 th and we’re recommended this place from a friend. We were not disappointed. We arrived and shown to our table and our waitress Linda introduced herself. We heard the portions were huge so we ordered spaghetti and meatballs and broccoli pasta and a starter platter. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us and very tasty and a quick service. All in all a wonderful experience for our 1 st visit to New York. Our waitress Linda was fabulous We will definitely return. 😀😀
Visiting nyc with my children and mother, girls trip
Excellent time and great food
The food was great. The service was terrific. The portions were reasonable. There were so many choices.
I made a reservation. We arrived 5-10 minutes before. Waited only a few minutes to be seated. Food - service - everything was exceptional. We loved it!
Tony's is great for groups with their family style platters. Plenty of room and the the wide rectangle table set up our group of 12 was able to engage in conversation while enjoying amazing Italian food, Sangria, cocktails, finishing up with delicious canolies!
First time going, definitely not the last. It was in the heart of Times Square so it was packed to the max but ambience was great, service was nice and attentive~~food amazing! And for the price of it in comparison to portions it was a steal! Recommend 10/10
Fabulous food in a fun atmosphere! Tony’s is a good buy given NYC restaurant pricing.
Always a great meal.
Great experience for my wife's 50th Birthday!! I highly recommend it.
We planned ahead and made a reservation. We were greeted and sat immediately at 5:00pm on a Friday night. The server was friendly and everyone who worked there had smiles on their faces. The Christmas decorations made the whole place feel very cozy and fun. The food was amazing. We loved it all and continued to talk about how delicious it was all weekend. I asked my teens what their favorite part of the weekend in NYC was, and this restaurant/meal was at the top of their list.
This has been our fourth Christmas Season dinner at Tony's DiNapoli. As with each before, the meal and service was outstanding. I highly recommend.
Great find. Outstanding service and food was delicious.
Great food and portions. Would recommended the family style menu. Great amount of food for many people for cheap.
Great service and food
Always stop by here when visiting NYC. Food is great, the place can get busy over the holiday season so recommend to book in advance. Waiters always helpful!
Food was amazing ! A fun restaurant atmosphere. Only negative is that we had 7:30 reservation and was not seated til 8:15.
Been coming for years, the food is always great and service very friendly.
Muy buena con mida. Súper abundante
First time but not the last. Excellent food, large portions, reasonable prices. Service and severs wonderful.
Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. And a great waiter. Service was impeccable.
The food and service was great. I had a reservation but did not know they would put us in the basement which smelled awful. I complained but hostess said they could not do anything for us. Next time I will request to be upstairs or I will not eat there.
Wonderful! I had first time New York visitors with me and they loved the food, our server and the ambiance.
Tony’s is an amazing restaurant, everything from the food to the service is perfect! Would highly recommend!
Have been to Tony’s several times before seeing a play they always get you out in time and the food is outstanding
