Tony Roma’s - West Palm Beach
We went for the beef ribs. It’s more of a hotel restaurant than a tony Roma’s. No ambiance, odd smell, totally run down and empty. Were told the beef ribs weren’t good by the waitress and to order something else.
We came in specifically for the beef ribs which we have really enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately the beef ribs were unavailable due to some delivery issues due to quality. However the baby back ribs that my wife had and the barbecue chicken that I had were excellent substitutes and our server provided very efficient and friendly service.
Traditional excellence in ribs!
Excellent service, good food.
Everything was excellent. Wait staff and management were above par. Very much appreciated.
AC was broken. Coleslaw was warm. Corn was over cooked. Ribs were great as always. Worst TR I have ever been to.
Great meal. Excellent service. Will definitely come again.
The food and service were excellent, but the setting or ambiance is sterile and boring.
Wee always come for the ribs. I think they are the best and they do not disappoint.
We were disappointed in the meal, the first time we went it was excellent
Baby back ribs were excellent; however the bar b cue sauce was a bit more tangy with a noticeable and predominant vinegar flavor. The onion loaf had a powdery and floury texture; would not order again.
Place was near-empty. Food took a LONG time to get to us (might excuse it if it's made to order out of the frig), but, the waitress was absent after ordering and between food delivery, as well as after her first check on us. She had no cheer, no personality, and could have easily been replaced by a stick.
Food is INCREDIBLY over-priced.
And the food was terrible. I've had beef ribs dozens of times in my life, and these needed a chainsaw to get through. Stringy, grizzled, and dry.
We were starving and since the food took so long to get to us in the first place, we didn't bother complaining .
Shame. Because I tip at 30% or above and she got the 18.
Nice hotel & restaurant, but very empty. Dinner time on a Sunday there were not 6 tables filled. I don’t think people know this place exist. I live on n Delray Beach & just heard it opened last March. It is not in an area to draw a crowd.if it was located, not in a hotel where there’s a crowd it would do much better. Delray Beach/ Boca Raton is an affluent area weren’t would do amazing. The food was good.
Love the baby back ribs. Tender and the sauce isn’t overly sweet like some others.
I used to be a regular years ago in hallanday, buy I was disappointed with the portions too small and food cold. Slow service
Besides I looked at my revisor today 1waa charged for 2 sodas we had one soda one water. 35 dollar lunch not worth it
Welcome back, Tony! I knew you from 'way back when and it's good to see the ribs are good as I remembered. And of course, it was good to see my old friend, The Onion Loaf. Havent had one like it since then.
The service was very attentive and friendly. The beef ribs have always been my favorite but my firends were very well pleased with the baby backs.
I'll be back!
Pathetic. Plain and simple.
I reserved through OpenTable, and just in case called to confirm. Reservation was for 11.30p as our Jeff Beck concert finished late.
When we arrived, the lousy restaurant was closed. The friendly front desk staff at the Hilton told us that they had closed at 10.30p. How come do they take a reservation? We drove all the way here to find the unpleasant surprise. Horrible management. Not sure about the food of course .. but why bother?
No hostess Clueless waitress, dirty wine glass, took forever to have someone take our order , I had to get up and go to the bar to get a waitress to take the order
Ribs came out cold, served our sparkling water in the bottle with no glasses. Served soup with entree. Staff not well trained, but the worst was the cold ribs???
The nicest Tony Roma’s we have ever eaten at.
Racheal our server was wonderful.
The ribs are consinstant in all their restaurants.
The onion loaf has changed, not bad but not as good as the old style.
I will never eat there again... the service was poor and the food took too long to arrive... then when it did it was not hot ...also I do not enjoy having diner and having to watch 2 guys on TV beating the crap out of each other... its not what I want to watch while I am having diner with a loved one
It was the worst meal I have experienced in Florida. The ribs came out cold, the potatoes were ultra salty. When I complained to the manager, he shrugged it off and said this is the way we serve.
The beef ribs were so tough, it would have needed a hacksaw. Had them previously and they just fell off the bone. My wife would have sent them back, but we were with friends & she did not want to make a scene after an endless wait on our food.
The ribs were just OK. They were smothered in sauce, not up to their usual standard.
Took over 30 minutes to bring our order & the restaurant was almost empty except for patrons at the bar.
Father's Day dinner. Grew up with tony romas down south and was happy to find one in west palm. Enjoyed the food and wasn't too bad in price
Made Father's day lunch reservations. Wasn't even open. Kind of put a damper on our plans with our family. Just a shame. Was supposed to be a little symbolic to my husband as he worked at a Tony Roma's when he was a teenager.
Very disappointed with Tony Roma’s here at wet Palm, I’ve always liked them in Miami but this is pretty bad. No hostess at the stand then we were sat and told the server would be right over. Waited about 15 mts before I decided to walk out . No server nor manager or any other member of the staff approached us to at least greet and say someone was coming soon. Server that appeared to be in charge of that section kept on walking around not even acknowledging us, manager was walking around and looking at us but no action taken. I’ve was a restaurant manager for 15 years and believe me I know.
Our second visit and second disappointing meal. Tony Roma has two signature dishes.
One is the ribs----we had them and they were as expected----very good.
Our favorite----and the reason we go----is the onion loaf.
Early on Sunday evenign and they were ouot of onion loaf. This is the second time this has happened in the last month.
Service is spotty---semms management does not have a handle on training staff and encouraging wait staff to return to table/boot for follow up.
All in all a disappointing visit.
We will give them one more try, the drive south to Bobby Rubino's.
Great ribs. Had fun. Share the beef ribs. Lot to handle
Very disappointing, we used to love the Beef Ribs at other Tony Roma's in many cities so we were excited to see this one open. But the beef ribs were fatty and tough, even the bake potato was hard and tasteless. This is a hotel restaurant and bar, unless you are stuck at the hotel, would not recommend you eat there.
Was disappointed. They were out of lemonade and some food items (hello, this was mother's day, restaurant was empty, you should be prepared). Soup was cold, even after they reheated, took forever to get the appetizers.
Ribs were excellent as always. Disappointed that I indicated the reservation was for a birthday celebration and they did not tell me they do not have candles in the restaurant. I would have been more than glad to being them from home but instead we had a very unhappy 4 year old who finds the candle to be the most important part of the birthday meal. Food was great - will definitely be back!
This location is In the lobby of a Hotel. Not the typical place you would find a Tony Roma. The setting is best for Hotel occupants that don't want to go far for a bite to eat to for a couple on date night.
Love the baby back ribs and onion loaf. Best bar none.
Best Beef Ribs ever!
Went for the ribs and were definitely not disappointed. Ambience was great and wait staff were friendly and attentive
Not the Tony Roma’s experience that we’ve loved for years.
Serving crew seemed inexperienced without no management shadowing.
Portion size seemed smaller than usual for TR.
Ribs seemed on par with many other local bbq places, not what we remember from days of old TR
Tony Roma's was our North Miami, favorite. Happy to live in Wellington, with Tony Roma's, now in West Palm Beach. We are regulars.
We go for the baby back ribs. My wife and I both had the ribs and the onion loaf. Nothing better!
Great baby back ribs! Done as requested.
Server was great too
All round horrible
