Would recommend to anyone!
The first time I was there I had the best eggplant parm I've ever had. Been there twice since and both times they severely undercooked the eggplant to the point that it couldn't even be cut with a knife. The pasta is also always an odd consistency. I am loosing hope that they will ever be good again. Maybe the first time was just a fluke.
great food, great service. Convenient to TD Bank Garden. Would definitely return.
Juan was a great waiter. Fun relaxed. No rush. The food was ordinary. Nothing special. They Need to bump it up. Both taste appearance and size.
The cheese on antipasto was inedible.
The bread was fair at best.
Either they want to be a fair place or a special place. Great location and atmosphere. Work on the food. Don’t lose Juan.
We had a great time at Tony & Elaine's! It's such a unique spot in the North End. It brings a fresh energy to the neighborhood. We'll definitely be back.
Good dinner. Bread before dinner was great. Garlic bread was very good as well. Portion size was to be desired for the price. Overall really good taste and old school Italian ambience.
Perfect for family with tween kids. Great food and service.
Had high expectations based on reviews and vibe, but this spot does not deliver.
We ordered one pasta dish, and one eggplant parm which was also served over pasta.
The pasta was clearly parboiled (plates got to us in 5 minutes...) and the texture was gross. There is really no excuse for not managing to cook pasta or choosing to pre-cook it to save 3 minutes... especially in a "traditional" Italian-American spot. So disappointing.
Loved it. Wish tho the music was more to the tune of Italian vs. 80s rock!
Amazing dinner! We had great service and were blown away by the cute atmosphere and delicious food.
Excellent red sauce joint. We had spaghetti and meat balls, chicken parm. Generous servings. Both excellent. Seriously can’t wait to go back.
The food was incredible! Best meatball I’ve ever had.
Great mozzarella sticks; rice balls good. Chicken parm really disappointing- rum of the mill, seemed deep and not pan fried. Not what I expected from a place w such a small menu. Shrimp scampi ok. Waiter was great.
Eh. Eggplant parm and chicken parm were nit good
The mozzarella sticks are delicious and the best ever. They are more like melt-in your mouse mozzarella logs! Large sticks with delicious cheese!
I would not go back. Best thing I can say is meatballs were good- the rest of the food was very mediocre. Big portions and inexpensive but if you want good food, I would go elsewhere.
We were EXTREMELY satisfied with our dining experience at Tony & Elaine’s! I wrote in a note for a special occasion since it was our anniversary and we are visiting from Chicago. We rented a car and had issue parking and had to relocate our car right when we got to the restaurant. The hostess and staff were extremely accommodating and allowed us to go move our vehicle (which took about 45 minutes), and STILL kept us at the same table we were seated at. Incredible. So accommodating and amazing. After we sat down, a bit flustered, the server greeted us with complimentary glasses of champagne! For dessert, they ever complimented us with shots of limoncello and a cannoli. WOW. What an experience, a wonderful one at that. I wish we got our servers name, he was so attentive and wonderful. This restaurant is much recommended. The food was incredible and genuine.
Fantastically paced service and incredible food.
The service was excellent and the food as well. Our waitress was aware of everything and made sure all of our needs were met. I would come back again and gladly refer anyone that was looking to eat in the North End.
Cozy little Italian restaurant. Loved the old school look with the red and white-checked table cloths. It's tiny, so definitely recommend reservations. Service was great. Food was good too, although not the best Italian I've ever had, but I would come back here.
Food left a lot to be desired especially when you have so many other awesome Italian restaurants close by.
First visit to Tony and Elaine's. Love the decor and the food.
I only wish you offered valet parking.
Spaghetti and meatballs were just so-so. Meatballs weren't very good at all and the pasta was clumpy and drowning in sauce.
Great food, nice vibe, awesome service
I have already recommended Tony & Elaine's to five people! We had a wonderful meal. Every item that we ordered was delicious! The meatballs were outstanding and we really enjoyed the Sausage & Rabe and Veal Saltimbocca. I cannot wait to go back!
Best food. Reasonable price. Not good for groups over 6 people.
Excellent food and service!
Great food, generous portions and warm service. Would strongly recommend
Seriously one of the best meals I have ever had.
The food was decent.
It was a bit odd, we saw other tables with what appeared to be a basket of bread so we asked our waiter for bread/rolls and he said they only have garlic bread as an app so we ordered that assuming that’s what other tables had. While the garlic bread was very good (and cheesy) we then saw another waiter bring baskets of bread and oil to other tables that wasn’t garlic bread.
Menu is small but has all the main italian dishes you would want. Chicken parm was okay. Large preportions. Shrimp scampi was very good. I would probably go somewhere else next time.
Second visit. Food delicious and plentiful. Basic no frills mostly red sauce. Service was very attentive. Small dining area but comfortable.
Service was great, and the food was incredible! Will be back during our trip.
Had an unbelievable meal! Will return again! Meatballs were amazing and the veal saltimbocca was the best I've had in years.
Food was sub par
This was the second time and it was still good. The location is a bit of a challenge for out of towners, but we can deal. Early on Sunday was good cause it was not crowded. The food was great, low key and not complicated. The wine list seemed to be priced pretty high though I realize that is where you make your profit. How about carafe of the house in 1/2 liter or 1 liter amounts?
The play list (Billie Joel channel on spotify?) was quite appropriate for our age group.
Great mom and pop feel which is great for every day dinning. Nothing fancy. Food is ranges from pretty good staples to excellent dishes like homemade lobster ravioli.
Love this place! One of my favorite restaurants in Boston now. Just wish there was one in Jamaica Plain.
Music choice not good. Though I like classic rock. Not at dinner at Italian restaurant. It was strange Service was inattentive More concerned about cleaning used tables than keeping dining guest satisfied Often felt like we were an inconvenience to staff
Excellent basic Italian food priced at a good value.
Attentive waiter. Not too loud. Old fashioned ambiance with Christmas lights for atmosphere.
Great off the beaten path Italian restaurant! I would definitely recommend stopping here during your visit in Boston.
