Tonic on Chirn is unique drinking and dining experience for the Northern Gold Coast, inside a cosy boutique upcycled-industrial meets prohibition speakeasy fit out.

Tonic serves seasonal Australian fusion cuisine in a share plate style, with a rotating seasonal menu and regular specials.

Cocktail creations are our bar’s signature, and will delight anyone who loves an in-house speciality you can’t get anywhere else while still paying homage to the classics.

Our wine list is curated to stock the best of Australian regions and international expressions. Updated seasonally, it can be paired with food upon request, has something for the connoisseur, and something classic for all wine drinkers.

We feature a rotating selection of the best local brewers on tap, and classics by the bottle.

We regularly host intimate to medium sized special events for birthdays/other occasions with a la carte services; and large scale closed venue private events with canape dining and drink tab options.

In nine years of operation Tonic has been the destination of choices for private wedding receptions, birthdays, milestone anniversary parties for up to 100. Every event is unique and created to be a bespoke blend of casual cocktail dining, drinks service , any formalities the host wishes to include and a lot of fun! With full consultation between the event team and host/s we offer canapé style catering packages, able to be modified for different needs/request. Drink services options range from open bar, to select tab off our house price list, or guests pay for their own drinks. Mixed bar tab options available. A minimum spend to secure your exclusive access will be quoted privately with expression of interest. Deposit required to confirm date and time once settled upon. Deposit and minimum spend are fully redeemable on all bar and food services. Be as involved or uninvolved as you wish in music and decoration choices! We look forward to celebrating with you.

Tonic used to have a great Wine List and Fresh food. I was not impressed with their current offerings. Need to lift their game! I can cook better at home! And Table was sticky - not good !

Food and drink is always amazing at tonic, service was good but after ordering your first drink it took along time for anyone to come back and take our food order of get another drink. Music was a little loud as couldnt hear each others conversations..

Fantastic food! This is the second time that I have had tapas here and each and every dish has been amazing. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. The cocktail menu is also very extensive and every single one of us enjoyed the cocktail that we ordered. The staff were also very attentive and great to deal with. Highly recommended and will definitely come back here again!
