Have not been to Tom’s Steak house for maybe 15 years Place has not changed much in 15 years except for the food No where near as good as it once was Will not be returning

We were celebrating our anniversary at this restaurant, by the way! We don't recommend it at all! The meat was apparently cooked to perfection, however, it tasted horrible, reminiscent of a dirty grill with overcooked food that hadn't been cleaned for a week. When we complained to the manager, the response was very poor and unprofessional! The meat tastes that way because it was cooked on charcoal instead of gas! His simple response was "sorry!" He didn't offer a discount, or even say he would check the grill to make sure it was really clean. The other thing was the presentation of the meat... bathed in what they call meat juice... nothing more than an overcooked and burnt broth that represents Lake Michigan contamination in the 40s. We don't recommend this restaurant at all!

We came here for my Dad's Birthday and it was wonderful. Our server was amazing. The food was outstanding!! We had Ribeye, Filet and T-bone all cooked perfectly to order. The service is classic and something you never see anymore. The ambiance is art deco and it feels like you are somewhere special. I highly recommend Tom's. We will be going back!

I’ve been coming to Tom steakhouse for the past 25 years. I really wish I could rate this occurrence better than a one star, but unfortunately, the server is really who sets the tone of your overall experience. We were seated by the a host. After 15 minutes of us sitting at the table, the server finally asked us if we wanted anything more than the water the busser served us when we were seated. She never came to take our drink order so the only thing we would be able to drink was the water that was served to us at the beginning. When it came to placing the order, I thought everything was fine. However, she came back about five minutes later to let us know that the chef was not able to top one of our steaks with Parmesan crust. However, we did order a shrimp de jonghe appetizer, which is Parmesan crusted so I am not sure why they were not able to prepare our request even though it is an up charge on the menu. We also ordered the side of mushrooms and they arrived to our table cold. In my opinion, this girl needs more training and should not be on schedule during busy hours or days like Mother’s Day.
