Everything was good except like most restaurants they use vegetable oil. It’s a cheap oil that is detrimental to health. Most restaurants use this . I cannot eat vegetable oil as it causes inflammation .. It’s only a matter of time that vegetable oil goes the same way as msg. I’m looking for restaurants that only use olive oil. That’s my only criticism of all restaurants. Even lard would be better than vegetable oil. In all aspects this restaurant was great

Lovely set up , good service . Probably ordered the wrong meal - the Malaysian curry wasn’t Malaysian - and I am a Malaysian :) Gravy was too rich and creamy . Efficient and hearty meal - will be back someday to try the fish and chips ! Thanks

Looks like a basic fish and chip restaurant but the quality and range of the food was a total surprise. A stunning fisherman's stew with some chilli added upon request. Very very good.

We had a most enjoyable dinner at Tommy Ruff. Tuna steak was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent and with a smile. Will definitely return

Tommy Ruff would have to be one of my favorite restaurants! The food is delicious, service is excellent and the atmosphere is outstanding! Enjoy a delicious dinner Saturday night with my husband! I will keep coming back to t hi s restaurant! Thank you team at Tommy Ruff Elsternwick!
