Tomiño - Taberna Gallega
Traditional Galician food from northwest Spain. Our Menu features a combination of traditional and modern Galician and Spanish cuisine. It focuses on tapas, seafood, and shareable main dishes. A few to highlight would be the Pulpo á Feira, empanada de Bacalao con pasas, Arroz Caldoso con Bogavante, and the Chuletón de Vaca Vieja en Josper. We have an all Spanish wine list with a focus on Galicia's % DO's. We also offer a great selection of Spanish beers, vermouth, cocktails, and signature Gintonics.
We hope to see you in soon.
"Benvidos e bo proveito!"
Great wine, fantastic food, and amazing service! Went for a friend’s birthday dinner and was blown away but how great everything was. Their Spanish wine selection is also incredible.
Best Spanish food I've ever had outside of Spain (I've traveled there quite a bit). Stylish, modern, comfortable dining room. If full, will get loud due to hard surfaces, but there's no intrusive music and tables are relatively well spaced by NYC standards. Wide-ranging, reasonably priced Spain-centric wine list; lots of good options by the glass as well. Nice variety of vermouths, sherries and orujos too. Five tapas shared by two made for a filling meal. High quality across the board, but the grilled wild mushroom casserole was extraordinary in terms of balance of flavors and textures and overall complexity. Mango ice cream was the best I've ever tasted, and the torrija de bica is a delight you probably won't find anywhere else.
Speaking as a Spaniard I can say the food is great. The portions are large for tapas and a great value we have been there twice and both times we were treated to great food both times .If you want typical Spanish food this is the place.
Try the wines the different wines and desserts
Just an amazing restaurant! New Yorkers are finally enjoying fine Spanish gastronomy thanks to the great cheffs and people at “Tomiño”
Best restaurant in NYC
This restaurant never disappoints.
Always a go to restaurant for us if we are craving for excellent Spanish dishes.
Always great to have lunch at Tomino, best spanish food in the Us and great service.
Tomiño - Taberna Gallega never ceases to impress and satisfy the diner.
Food and service is top notch. Don’t miss out on trying a vermouth.
We live in Europe and have enjoyed a lot of Spanish restaurants. This restaurant was our best Spanish experience ever. The food was amazing. The Croquetas, the Sea scallops, the Huevos Rotos Con Zorza, the meat platter and the cheese platter were all fantastic. This restaurant is genuine to the Galician region cuisine and the staff is very knowledgeable and professional. We drank a red wine (MARQUÉS DE TOMARES) that was excellent. We will make sure to revisit this gem on every visit to New York.
I’ve visited Tomiño before and loved it when I came during the winter. This second visit however, did not provide similar experience and I was a bit disappointed in the food and service combined.
Best service and food!
Great from start to finish. Staff and hosts were warm and welcoming. Food was terrific and service was attentive.
I had a fantastic meal at Tomiño with my parents and my brother, who were visiting. I’ve lived in several parts of Spain, and my brother studied in Galicia, so we were excited to try Tomiño. The food was outstanding, especially the tortilla de Betanzos, the croquetas, all seafood we had, and the tarta De Santiago. Service by Carlos was excellent.
While there are many solid Spanish spots in the city, I’ve had an opening for a No. 1 since Tertulia closed last summer. Tomiño could be that.
Reserved for my parents and they had an excellent night. My parents ordered too much food as the tapas are much bigger than in Spain. The manager was incredibly kind and generous, as he insisted that they should not pay for the extra plate they could not finish. Lastly, the food was also at a very high standard, whilst also being moderately priced.
The tapas were amazing, from the empanada of the day all the way to the sardines. The food and wine is authentic to the region in Spain and the flavors are captured perfectly.
From the wine to the dessert...everything was delicious. Great service as well! I continue to go back!
They did not honor our reservation, first time its happen to my in Open Table. Really disappointed.
Great real spanish food and great environment, If you want so experience the real Spanish experience, this is the place to go in Manhattan.
Nice Spanish food restaurant, traditional tapas available, good Spanish vine and beer. Will be back soon!
Verdadera comida española. Hecha con buenos productos y una gran calidad. Muy buena carta de vinos. y un servicio atento y cuidado.
A gem... This is a great tapas place. It's very refreshing to see, in the crazy NYC eatery scene, a place that nicely brings together friendly professional service, awesome delicious food, a super fine wine menu, and a charming ambiance.
Outstanding, authentic Galician food, and great service.
The real experience when it comes to product, method and result in Spanish cuisine. Rare gem not to be missed. Fantastic staff and service overall.
Good was excellent as well as the cocktails. We sat outside so can’t comment on the noise inside.
Incredibly authentic Spanish seafood dishes...Arroz bomba, pulpo, conservas, and tarta De Santiago ....literally transported us back to our honeymoon in Spain!
Delicious, and beautiful.
Wonderful service and big portions. Would eat again!
The space is nice.
Table was not ready when you arrive at the time og the reservation. Fried squid tastes like cheap oil but no other taste. The dish with fish, clams etc from the jar very disappointing. Table next to us returning their dish because of the weird, metallic taste.
Acoustics extremely bad. One loud drunk bunch of local lads in their early forties dominating the whole space with their constant extremely loud shouting. Staff did nothing. Service also slow.
In Spain, you get 3 times better food with 1/3 of the price.
Delicious Northern Spanish tapas
Tortilla was the best I’ve ever had in NYC, it was just like one in good restaurant in España!!
Service was attentive and staff were very friendly.
We keep going back to Tomiño, for the food! The space is beautiful. The service is fantastic. It does get crowded and loud, but that makes you feel like you are back in Spain.
not bad as far as food and value - for a tourist trap. definitely we were the only new yorkers in the entire establishment.
After so many “Hipster” places I finally found a restaurant that makes tradition and ingredients’ choice its foundations to let me enjoy simply excellent food. It does help that Galicia is a place with a solid culture in terms of cuisine but, render Caesar what Caesar’s due: these guys know their way through it. (An Italian in NYC).
This amazing part of Galicia in NYC just capture my love, my senses and allow me to remember my childhood. It was just a magical experience. The good is just supreme, an amazing service in the perfect spot. I would definitely come back
A good environment and excellent service. Somewhat pricy and we had to complain about our short end ribs, which were all bone. They were replaced immediately by our waitress, with lamb chops, which were good. Otherwise we are finding it hard to remember what we ate.
The food was excellent and the portion sizes were spot on. The wine list was regionally diverse and complimented the tapas we ordered. We tasted the pinchos, the pulpo, the wild mushrooms, charcuterie, and flaming chorizos. All were tasty.
Excellent experience overall - first class food, excellent service. Highly recommended.
Good service. Little price it but worthly.
Nice ambient. I ll come back.
