Tom Brown’s is now our favorite new restaurant in north Alabama hands down. There are some really nice restaurants that have been around north Alabama for a long time, and we will still eat at those places, but TB’s has quickly separated from the crowd. Tom is creating some amazing food and Amy took great care of us. We can hardly wait to visit again!
Awesome food and relaxed atmosphere! Our server Amy was attentive and did an excellent job! We will visit again!
Just feel like Tom Brown’s is trying to hard. Food was good but nothing exciting for the expense. $44 for a 7 oz filet should be something special. It was good, but not $44 good. Waitress was very nice but not very attentive. Glass of wine had lipstick smudge on it and took about 10 minutes for it to get replaced. Then charged for two glasses of wine on the bill. Taken care of but still annoying. It was good but not great for as expensive as it was.
The Restutant is extremely nice and everyone was going above and beyond to make everyone happy and satisfied, Everyone at my table loved their food , my fish was not done in the center and no flavor , nor seasoning tout, also for the prices of the food , I feel that it’s a little wrong to have to pay liquor taxes then give up almost $40.00 or $50.00 tips , I would only recommend this Restaurant to the rich and famous
We celebrated my birthday tonight with an outstanding meal. Erica, our server, took great care of our every need. The hot yeast rolls with honey butter melted in our mouths. We started with the delicious fried alligator bites. I had barramundi as my entree with baked sweet potato. My husband had King Salmon and loaded baked potato. Fish specials are flown in from HI weekly. I finished with a complimentary cheesecake slice with strawberry and sprinkles that was a nice ending. They have other amazing dessert options. Definitely a place for anniversary or just a great meal in Madison! We can’t wait to go back!
Adult kids celebrated my Mom’s bday. I got a gnat in my cocktail but Carson our server was a champ. The manger came by & the ow we came by to chat & check on us. This is our 5th visit for my husband & I. We really enjoy the food. Wish that there was a sectioned off space for a little more privacy for business meetings but we really have enjoyed our experiences at Tom Browns. We really appreciate all the fresh fish that is flown in weekly too!
Great place for an anniversary dinner. Complementary drinks! Food came out quickly and plenty of space between tables. Comfortable chairs and nice atmosphere
Very good experience with great appetizer, tomahawk steak, drinks, desert.
Daniel was a great waiter! He was very attentive and made by birthday very enjoyable.
Food was amazing! Will definitely be going back again!
Food was very good. The service was outstanding. Price was a little expensive, but will consider again.
Our first visit, will not be our last. Our waiter, Dennis, was exceptional the overall experience was great. Hurricane was excellent. Wife had shrimp, I had surf and turf, both of us left empty plates.
We ate at 4:00 so the restaurant was basically empty. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Prices are super expensive. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer ($9.00). I was going to get the filet mignon until I saw the price was $44.00 for a 7 oz filet so I opted for the 12 oz. Ribeye ($34.00). I ordered it cooked medium but I would say it was more like medium rare. My husband and I both thought it was a bit chewy. My husband ordered the scallops (7) for $38.00 and they were good. The loaded baked potatoes that came with the meal had a good flavor and were good-sized. The yeast rolls were good. We also ordered a side of their pan-seared brussel sprouts for $8.00 which were yummy. For dessert we shared a salted caramel cookie skillet for $8.00. That was also delightful. Our meal favorites were the brussel sprouts and the dessert. It was my husband's birthday so they brought him a small piece of cheesecake to take home.
Higher in price but loved it! Delicious and great service!
Food was good! But not worth the price. It was loud and busy. Sat near the bar and overheard wait staff and bartenders arguing with each other. Set a bad tone for the night. Our drinks were not good!
Over priced. Steak was below average. Good drinks. Social distancing was very questionable. Way over priced.
Everything was amazing. Although music did not go with atmosphere. Didnt expect to here Guns n Roses songs
Food and ambiance on the patio was great. Bar drinks were good, but not outstanding. The waiter was super knowledgeable on the food, but wasn’t well versed on liquor brands offered. We will return as our overall experience was fantastic.
My husband and I tried Tom Brown’s for the first time and we were very impressed! To start, using OpenTable to be able to register on a wait list from anywhere is awesome. We drove down the road and shopped and kept an eye on our spot in line and drove back in time. The decor and ambiance is perfect and fits my taste perfectly. The seating is all plush and velvet, the tables are beautiful marble tops, the art on the walls is iridescent, the lighting is ideal. It’s the perfect blend of sophisticated, chic and modern. The food was outstanding. We ordered the alligator bites for an appetizer and they were fresh and hot, the dipping sauce was delicious. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and butter soft, my mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful, and my husband’s baked potato had a unique smoky taste he really enjoyed. Our server, Ryan, was polite and attentive and we really enjoyed having him. Overall a really good experience and we will definitely be back!
We loved the decor and ambience of Tim Browns. The staff was nice and accommodating, but the food was just “ok” and not worth the price.
My husband had filet which was cooked perfectly prepared; however, it was bland. It needed some type seasoning to enhance the flavor.
I had shrimp and grits and I have never had this dish that included so many nice size shrimp. I love grits and was looking forward to the Gouda grits. I would have liked to have had more grits, there was very little under the shrimp. Overall a tasty dish, just add more grits.
Prices too high. Same quality of steak at Conners steakhouse or Main-street Cafe. Food too salty.
Great menu selections! We will definitely be back!
Randy, our server was excellent!
The owners found out we were celebrating our daughter’s engagement and personally came out, introduced themselves and gave them a complimentary dessert of theIr choice. We will definitely be back! The salmon was mouth watering, cooked to perfection!
Our 4th visit was as great as the first three. Our two friends were also impressed. The food was SOOO GOOD! My second go with the sea bass - fantastic once again - especially paired with the crawfish julie. Great service from Amily - even Tom came by to check on us. This is our new "go to" restaurant.
Most of the food was good, the rolls and the alligator appetizer were delicious. The Redfish and red velvet cake was ok. We spent over $80 without alcohol, but to me the meal/ambience was worth no more than $40 or $50.
I heard they just opened and had to try it out. SO cute both inside and out. I was impressed by the cocktail menu 1) an Old Fashioned was the first thing listed 2) that Old Fashioned had Four Roses -- off to a great start!
The waitress was well-versed on the menu. We ordered the lamb and the surf n turf (sirloin and gulf shrimp) as well as the firecracker shrimp and a salad. Everything was SUPERB. Not to mention the dessert presentation was beyond tempting (darn this diet of mine!)
Not to mention the decor and music are so cute, I'll definitely be back, gotta try more of the menu and the cocktails. Highly recommend!
Celebrated two Birthdays. Had the best time. There are only a few places you go all out for an expensive meal like this. This is by far the best place when you only do this occasionally and you want it to be an outstanding and exceptional experience.
1st time to TB, loved everything but was WAY over priced! A special occasion place but can’t afford monthly! 😢
Tony was an excellent waiter and the dining experience was most enjoyable.
Fantastic food, drinks, and service. Will be back!
Loved it! Great service, food was great and loved the atmosphere. Will definitely go back!
Great food and drinks
Overall a great date night for me and my wife of 28 yrs. I felt that even though the food and service was very good, it was a bit more pricey than what I got for the money (well, at least the steak was). I got the red fish with the crawfish Julie - very very well seasoned and cooked. It's hard to find fish that fresh and well-cooked here in Huntsville. My wife got the $44 12-oz NY strip with fries - so good. A bit inconsistent with the done-ness (ordered to be between Med and Med-Well; but the ends were well done and middle was closer to Med rare). Nevertheless, the steak was very tasty and well-seasoned with a perfect sear. We left happy - the entire experience provided a terrific setting for us to enjoy each other's company and conversation.
The ambiance was nice for our first date night post COVID. The drinks specialty drinks (old fashion and lavender martini)were perfectly made. The appetizer (alligator bites) were delicious. Our dinner was exceptional!! We will definitely be revisiting soon. Additionally, their COVID measures were an extra reassurance. The staff checked our temperatures, they wore masks, and the ensured that no one was sitting near us.
Last our waitress Lindsey and waiter Jared were amazing! We throughly enjoyed every minute.
We sat outside and it was so nice. It was shaded and loved the decor. The food was delicious. We both had fish. Our waitress, Theo, was so kind and helpful. She went above and beyond. We were celebrating our 20th Anniversary. This place was great. I highly recommend it.
Birthday. Our waiter was Ryan and he was wonderful. First time there and we will be back!
Reservations are recommended. We ordered mixed drinks, the filet mignon, grilled chicken breasts with seasonal vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious! Filet was fork tender and the seasonal vegetables were on the spicy side. Similar to a Ruth Chris. It would be great for celebrating an anniversary, birthday or other special occasion.
We had reservations but had to wait over a 1/2 hour for our table. Our poor server had so many tables that at least three other staff members assisted us during our meal. Our steaks came out almost raw. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. We had been to the restaurant previously and had a great experience, but not sure I’ll take a chance again.
