   Really enjoyed taking a large party of friends for a quasi-reunion over dinner. The staff accommodated us with 2 nearby tables and didn't rush us as the conversations kept going and going. Lastly, when one of the party accidentally left a phone at the restaurant, they quickly figured out how to contact us to let us know.

   Everything we ordered was excellent - the guacamole, the main dishes, the cocktails, and the desserts. Our server was very good and checked in with just often enough without being too much.

    Lobster tacos are amazing, as are the avocado fries and the service. Seating in the middle room is tight -- ask for the front or back rooms or the lovely outside back area when it's warmer.

    A surprisingly large contemporary Mexican restaurant in the UES, with friendly service, a crowd made up of all ages: the party-going young lads to neighborhood families, retirees. All are welcome. The food is excellent. Reservations are a must. This is a popular place.

    This place is reliably wonderful, with an inventive, thoughtful menu, fantastic drinks and drink specials, and most notably, a stellar staff. The service is exactly what I want: warm, friendly, but also professional and efficient. Just fabulous. I chose the “date” category of occasion but really the date was with my husband of 30 years. It felt like date night—there’s a romance to the menu and venue. Have fun!!!

    My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day at Toloache and were exceptionally happy with our experience. We sat on the back patio, which was much quieter than the main dining room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and tasted exceptionally fresh. We recommend the guacamole appetizer.

    The food is always excellent and the waitperson was great. She recommended the special margaritas which were great and the chocolate desert which was amazing!! The back garden was not open so we sat outside in the front which was still nice and private but not as notice as sitting in the backyard!

    We had our usual fine meal with great service and really good food. One very small quibble: it would be nice to see a little more variation in the dishes offered, perhaps via more specials in addition to the regular menu. But that is really just a quibble.

    They ruin our Sunday humiliating us! I order Toloache twice per week since 2020. It is expensive but food is good. We went in person for the first time (my daughter, my wife and me). They consider that our tip was not enough and came to the table complaining and asking for more, after we had expended 200$ for 4 drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 mains. A waitress said that they are paid just with tips, that btw is illegal and of course not our responsibility. NEVER AGAIN!

    Great Mexican food, low noice level, good environment to have a nice conversation. Spent $200 (tip included), for a family of 4… two drinks, two appetizers, 4 main course, two desserts. Recommended!!

    The service was excellent. I shared a salad made with Jicama. My main course was Carne Asada. The meat had been marinated and was delicious. There was tasty cheese enchilada. This is one of the easiest places to eat.

    Delicious meal. A bit pricey but then again everything is expensive right now. Pretty well worth the price. I just wish they played more varied music, I get playing Spanish music in a Mexican restaurant but it’s a lot of reggae ton which gets old quickly. Great service.

    Toloache is consistently a great experience, from the friendly servers to the amazing food. Lunchtime is just as great as dinner, with far fewer people so it's easier to appreciate the decor, too!
