Toloache - Upper East Side
Need to book at 7:00 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Outstanding tacos. This is the place to have a bite of good food in a relaxing atmosphere. I love the pace.
this is my first time at this location. We sat in a very closed off location. Service was ok but I do recommend one of the other two locations. Village the best
Delicious. And fun
The food as always was great. Slow service. Freezing cold seating. Waiter not very attentive; I would have ordered another drink if he came by, which he didn’t.
I enjoyed siting outside on the patio! I usually sit at the bar meeting another mom for drinks and appetizers. Wonderful food as always, but has gotten pricey!
the food was exceptional and seasoned to perfection. I wasn't a fan of the flan with the popcorn but overall I only have great things to say. It was my 1st time after a colleague had been. The staff was attentive and made great suggests regarding food and drink choices. I will be back to celebrate the anniversary.!!
Expensive small portions. Lousy service. Cute place. Decent food.
Definitely aim for outside seating. More quaint and peaceful!
We love Toloache!
Great guacamole, ceviche varieties and quesadilla options. Many margarita options. Good place for groups.
Food is always on point. Duck dish is amazing.
The food was delicious but the service was not great. Two parties arrived after us and their orders were taken before we had even ordered drinks. They had their food before we had drinks. I mentioned this to the waiter and he replied “Really?” and then made a lame excuse about our drinks having to be made. Would maybe make sense if the table next to us didn’t have their food already.
Toloache, under the attentive eye of its owner and manager, continues to provide exceptional food and service. The ambiance is pitch perfect. It is clear that other diners feel the same way about this always packed restaurant.
Thanks again guys, hey what happened to the casa Migos tequila 🤷🏽♂️we need mt back I can’t drink anything else I’m sorry but not sorry :)
We sat outside on a delightful evening. We could actually have a conversation without shouting. Inside the din was deafening.
We not only recommend Toloache but take friends and family. This past weekend my brother and sister-in-law came from Washington to celebrate her birthday at Toloache.
The food and drinks were both exceptional. The service was great. We’ll definitely be back.
Really fine Southwestern food! Will put this on our return list of restaurants
Best grilled corn on the cob anywhere.
I found the food and drinks overpriced for the quality. Disappointed overall.
Food was great. We sat outside in the garden out back. Service was pretty slow - they seemed very understaffed - but food was delicious.
Margaritas were nothing special and very expensie. 13$. If you order the tacos you only get two and they are very small and expensive.
Sat outside which was lovely. My only criticism of the restaurant is sitting inside is extremely noisy so I only like to go in summer when we can sit outside!
excellent food, excellent service, friendly and professional staff
Everything was perfect but I believe and all of my friends do too that it was a bit overpriced!
Great food in quite garden at the back. Fantastic margaritas!
Service was excellent, but the food was just good, not outstanding as we had hoped. The Mexican Paella was disappointing, we will stick to Spanish Paella from here on.
Yum, Yum. Just too noisy! Seating is a little cramped. But the hostess made every effort to honor my seating request.
Not a great place to take babies ha - we're now part of the 5:30pm dinner crowd thanks to our little one who goes down at 7. We wanted to come in for some margaritas and tacos before being trapped in our apartment for the night haha. They did their best to accommodate, but we have a little guy who is not quite sitting up in a high chair just yet and we wanted to bring in our stroller. The entrance is not easy for strollers so we recommend detaching your stroller seat and bringing it in with you.
The food is excellent though, and so are the drinks so we'll definitely come back, but maybe with a different solution for our little one!
Nondescript, “secretive” entrance with a cozy interior. Excellent margaritas and tequila choices. Gracious service with authenticity and warmth. Love, love the queso fundito that keeps us coming back. Guacamole and chips with a smoky salsa side-yum! Interesting mains including a good skirt steak and signature chicken dish. Also fun to make a meal of tacos and sides.
Outside eating very casual and nice on a summer evening.
We sat outside in the garden, the servers were very attentive without being intrusive. The good was very good, everyone in the garden was polite, noise level normal and there was a breeze. Would recommend this restaurant for a quiet dinner or a Family get together.
A must for foodies that have enjoyed fine dinning at restaurants in Mexico City's top restaurants. The dinner and brunch menue are a delight of culinary creativity and beyond yummy.
As always really tasty food and excellent service.
I come every time I come back to NYC after I lived here... meet family and friends.
Food as always awesome but service really inconsistent.
The manager was not at the restaurant so you can see waiters struggling with the amount of people to serve.
Food was great but the a/c was not! We skipped out as fast as we could
We were sitting in the middle section and the noise bounced off the walls and it was extremely loud feeling. not enjoyable night
I've always only been to the mid-town location. This one was different - quieter, more rustic. But the menu and quality were just as good as the 50th street location. The staff was friendly and attentive. It made for a great way to end our day in the city. I'll be back!!
Food was mediocre
