Toloache - Upper East Side
Charming and welcoming place. Very good food. Will definitely go back.
Loved the food! Great menu! I’m a CA girl and know my Mexican food. This was terrific!
The food was delicious as always. But they were not very friendly or attentive like they were on Valentines day when we spent a lot of money. We went for brunch it was my first meal of the day and I didn’t want to drink on an empty stomach. The waiter wasn’t happy when we didn’t want a starter or drinks. You shouldn’t be nice and welcoming only when patrons spend a lot of money...
Always stellar, love this restaurant!!
We had brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was not crowded, yet the service was on the slow side. But the food was good. Menu says at the bottom "Ask for our vegetarian menu" - but when we asked, the waiter said that many items on the vegetarian menu were not prepared yet, so would take a while if we wanted to order them. It turned out that the regular menu has plenty of vegetarian options; the exchange was just a little odd.
Was good food was great and service lil pricy but good over all
We frequent this restaurant regularly. This time the service was a bit on top of us. And it was disappointing
After our favorite brunch place permanently closed, we were eager to find a new spot. This may be it! Well presented, good quality Mexican food. A bit pricier than we’re used to, but not unreasonable considering the quality, area, and cost of keeping a restaurant open these days. A great first visit.
vibrant atmosphere with a great variety of delicious margaritas.
Food is delicious
Very good food & service, but over-priced, even for NYC. Have been to other upscale Mexican restaurants here, but none this expensive. Won't go back solely for that reason. Too many other comparable choices for less cost.
As Always the food was outstanding, Toloache is our favorite restaurant in NYC.
The food and drinks were good, but we felt so rushed. We had two cocktails and two courses and had signed our bill in under an hour - we had a 7pm reservation, so I could understand if they needed the table for 9pm. But we were whisked through before 8pm.
Great guacamole and chicken enchiladas! We like to eat at the bar. Always an interesting crowd!
Amazing food, quick service, clean, great lunch date!
Manager and crew treated us great. It was our first time to the restaurant but were made to feel like regulars.
Generally good but not inexpensive for Mexican (UES rents are high).
Great margaritas, great food and great service!
Best Mexican in NYC! Great Margaritas too! Special Mexican Chanukah menu.
The best Mexican food ever
Always fun. Good ceviche and great tacos. Margaritas are also very good. This s is a great place for a drink and snack after work.
Toloache was fine.
Food was fine. The drinks came too warm, missing something.
Service was nice, and overall, decent restaurant.
A little expensive for what it was.
Although all the food was good the portions were rather small.
Loved everything except the loud birthday party at the next table! Food was delicious!!
The food and drinks were both/all delicious. The wait staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Well-prepared, delicious traditional Mexican food. Great margaritas! Excellent service.
Good food overall and authentic salsa and flavors. But for the prices I would give it 5 stars.
Never disappoints, upscale mexican, best guacamole, right in my neighborhood. Friendly service too!
Great innovative Mexican cuisine in a comfy atmosphere with attentive and competent staff. Great margaritas and Mexican beer. Super starters and mains in a wide variety of forms from veggie to seafood and beyond. Highly recommended.
Food is really good. This place isn't cheap or reasonably priced but the service and atmosphere are really good and the Shrimp Tacos are really exceptional.
Food was incredible. The space is small, so it was expected to be loud but on top of the din was an unneeded addition of music that made t even harder to hear each other. The wait staff was nice when we interacted with them, but delayed when it came to service. We were never given chips and salsa; we reordered drinks when dinner came out but they didn’t arrive until we finished eating and part of one of the desserts we ordered didn’t arrive until after the group had finished their dessert. Overall, nice facility and location but the one at 50th was more accommodating and timely.
A great last-minute decision to bring our visiting family here for an early dinner. Yummy sopa, fish & a full veggie menu too. Who knew we could impress with authentic Mexican on the East Coast?
Excelente place, food is delicious and good prices
Great food, great service. White truffle scallop special was one of the best dishes I ever had anywhere.
Delish and unique. What a great surprise!
The food and service was excellent. Seating is a little tight, but it's NYC. I'll be back!
Always happy with my meal at Toloache, food and service are both very good
Very busy but fun
Salsa and spicy guacamole were amazing. Great service, ambience, and flavor.
Food is good but manager always seems to make us u comfortable and is not a very nice person so I would recommend going to a different location for the amazing tacos.
