Toloache - Upper East Side
The jalapeno margaritas were amazing (and strong!), as were the enchiladas and the chicken dish (the first 2 items on the right of the menu) - will definitely return!
Excellent service. I felt the margaritas and my main dish were a bit overpriced.
Best margaritas and guacamole. Great attentive and quick service.
Food is solid but portions are small and drinks are weak. Pricey for what you get.
Excellent food, we had the guac for an appetizer, I had the carnitas and my wife had the duck both were very tasty. the only down side is that it is a little noisy
Not your usual rice, beans and cheese Mexican. Dishes are well-flavored and not overwhelming. The huitlacoche taco is great. Carnitas excellent. Dining room can be a bit noisy, but some tables are better, as is the patieo.
The restaurant serves exotic, delicious and somewhat upscale Mexican food. The assortment of exotic tacos (especially the spicy lobster taco) is fabulous and the seafood paella is also really great. The red sangria is delicious. The service has been consistently very good.
I’m a regular at Toloache. The staff is always so friendly and attentive and their food is incredible. Make sure you order one of their incredible margaritas with their Frutas Guacamole!
Food was delicious! Service was a little slow, noise loud.
Good Mexican brunch in the Upper east side
Great solid experience as usual. Food superb.
We sat in the alcove after the kitchen area - seating was tight and the waiter knocked my chair each time he went by. The overall service was mixed - our waiter never cracked a smile and was not welcoming. The balance of the staff was courteous. Unusual service experience .
The food was a mix of spot on - guac was very good - hamachi cerviche was excellent - but the corn was so acidic that it was bad... and thats a favorite of mine. The Cod was tasty but on the raw side for one half of the filet and perfect on the other side. Wish the whole plate was executed properly. The meal ended with Churros - which was just ok... the sauce lacked the density that i had expected...
I see the potential to get a great meal -this ended up ok. the intrinsic value of the meal / experience was just ok because of the inconsistency.
The food was so delicious with eclectic twist to Classic dishes. This was such a wonderful surprise. We chose it because it had such high ratings from other people.
in NYC for a girls road trip to the US Open ........cocktails were fine , food delicious ( altho somewhat pricey for small portions as others have noted ) w a lively atmosphere . Would definitely recommend .
Great service with devious sharable dishes. We had so much fun. They made my birthday a special event.
Was lit and loud
We look forward to dining there whenever we are in the city. It never disappoints. The shrimp dish I had this time was one of the best entres I've ever had anywhere! It was such a unique combination of flavours and textures, and like everything else I've tried there, the portion was generous and it was a great value. Service is excellent too.
As usual, our meal was delicious. Had several of the ceviches and guacamoles and they were all great! The food always tastes so fresh at Toloache. And the drinks were yummy, too! Staff is always attentive and nice.
Food was good but drinks were unacceptable. Nice atmosphere.
Way over priced with small portions
Super fun. Food and cocktails so tasty. We were starving and left very satisfied.
Service could be much better
The food was terrific. After we ate triple guacamole and queso we were to full for dinner. Very expensive for 2 people but enjoyed it for an occasional meal out.
As always, food delicious and margarita potent! We sat on the outdoor patio and fortunately when the rain started the awning was quickly opened.
A bit overpriced for the guacamole at 20 bucks for a plate -tacos are fine not outstanding
Excellent food and drink. Service could have been better but that was just one inattentive waiter and the rest of the service staff was excellent.
Great, innovative Mexican food - knowledgeable waiter - his advice was a great help
The food was exquisite and the service was courteous.
Food was delicious and staff was attentive.
Good food and drinks! Really enjoyed the experience.
Waiters were very attentive and didn't rush you. Food wasn't the typical Mexican food you get on the upper east side. Good vibe.
I have to say I feel lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood! Tacos were amazing! Lobster and short rib, is what we had and I already know what I’m having next time. I look forward to exploring the menu further. The staff is very accommodating. They were on top of everything, they definitely added to the meal.
Rude and rushed service. Disappointing considering their prices are through the roof for Mexican and portion sizes are small.
I love the food here and and the atmosphere. It's pricier than other mexican but worth it. Though my friend's tacos weren't the greatest. Otherwise, I will be back.
While the food we had was tasty my wife and I headed to their 82nd St location to try their Pastel de Platano with Negra Modelo ice cream - which is listed on their website. Negra Modelo is delicious so were excited for a tasty dessert. Sadly their website is in error and it is NOT on the menu at this location.
Wow-we love this place-bright, fresh flavors and inventive takes on classic Mexican food. We love ordering lots of different appetizers and tacos (the fish tacos are s MUST). Really lovely service.
Service was great. Food seemed a bit over priced. Just wasn’t what I expected out of 15 dollar cocktails, 12 dollar guacamole, and 12 dollar small tacos. A little underwhelming but still tasted good.
One of the best restaurants on the UES! Great drinks too. Cod is amazing!
Loved it! So glad we found this gem! They were very accommodating when we arrived early too! Awesome staff and food. Great cocktails!
Everyone is very welcoming. Our waiter explained the entire menu to my friend who was dining for the first time. Our meals were flavorful and cooked perfectly.
