Welcome to Toloache (pronounced toh-lo-AH-tchay), chef-owner Julian Medina’s contemporary Mexican bistro located in the heart of the Theater District. Toloache is named after a flowering plant famed in Mexico for its use in love potions. We hope that when you dine with us you too will fall under the spell of chef Medina’s creative cooking, which incorporates seasonal and natural ingredients and more than a dozen types of chilies. Our festive, two-story space features a guacamole and ceviche bar, a wood-burning oven, and an exceptional tequila list, along with elegant decorative elements imported from Mexico. We looking forward to seeing you soon.

My second visit to Toloche' didn't disappoint!
Margaritas are delicious, as well as the chips & Guac.

They may actually have THE BEST FISH TACO I've ever ordered!!

Quarters are tight...have a reservation.

Great food and service, but extremely loud place that made it very difficult to maintain a conversation.

The only reason we dined there is because it’s right next to the Wicked show and we have two little kids. Food is ok. Nothing worthwhile mentioning. Standard Mexican menu. Two things I would mention and hope the owner of this restaurant will make improvements to it: (1) placemats are dirty and disgusting. Don’t use it or wash it. The only place I am willing to eat with dirty placemats is at my own house. (2) fix the broken front door that won’t close. The cold air would just gushing in because the door would not close.

Went here for lunch while we were staying in Midtown, so it was a super convenient location. I had read that there aren't a lot of great restaurants in the Theater District, but this restaurant was referred to me but a friend and I thought the food was delicious! Really great flavors.

This was the first time we were there and were happy we tried it. The food and sangria were both very good.

Food was great as always, but the crowd was overwhelming for a post-matinee Sunday dinner.

The guacamole, jicama salad and plantains were excellent! It was great to find someplace authentic in Times Square area. Minimal vegan options though (but I was happy and full)!

Not your usual Mexican, more like Rick Bayless. Interesting mix of flavors. I found the waiter's descriptions and recommendations to be spot on
