Excellent food and service. Guacamole & short rib quesadilla delicious
The gluten free options are great here. We highly recommend it
The best guacamole we’ve ever had! Make sure to get the trio (even though it’s a little crazy $$$). The lobster tacos were really delicious, as well as everything else we tried.
VERY ACCOMMODATING ABOUT CHANGES TO SIDES AND SPECIAL REQUESTS FOR PREPARATION TO BE GRILLED INSTEAD OF FRIED.
My 14-year-old granddaughter and I had a pre-theater lunch prior to attending a performance of Mean Girls. We began with outstanding guacamole and home made tortilla chips which we enjoyed immensely. My granddaughter had the lobster tacos and I had the fish tacos and agreed both were delicious. We ended with cappuccino and the Toloache chocolate crunch cake! Yum! All in all, we enjoyed a superb lunch at Toloache!
Food was excellent! Try the truffles quesadilla
The food itself was good but the service we received was horrible. Our waiter took 20 mins to come take our order and then got our appetizers wrong. Our dinner was good one of the dishes was not what we expected while the other was amazing. Dessert was great but it took 25 mins for us to get it. We were asked to move to a different table during our dinning experience. Our check was given and taken from us very fast and the waiter expected to have at least a 20% tip. Which would have been fine except we were ignored the whole time. I wouldn’t go back
Outstanding as always! In the many times we've eaten here we have never been met with anything but an amazingly wonderful experience. An absolute must in the city!
Food was very good. Very authentic Mexican food. Loved it.
Good food but slow service. It took an hour for good to arrive.
This is the best Mexican food I have eaten in Midtown Manhattan. Different and delicious, the room is a bit tight but it is a testament to the quality of the product. Highly recommended.
I found this restaurant after a quick Google search. It was Valentine's Day weekend and so a crowd was to be expected and a crowd was found. The size and shape of the building means tight spaces and not a whole lot of room between you and the table next to you. But that is all made up by the food. Really fresh tasting Mexican food. It is not your typical Mexican but that is a good thing. Don't be afraid to try new things! The location being a block away from our theater is also a major plus for this place. Although it was moderately expensive (I suppose most things in Manhattan are) this was worth it and I would most certainly recommend and return this place.
This has quickly become one of our favorite places to go while in the city. The lobster tacos are my fave but I have never ordered anything that I don't absolutely love. Incredibly friendly staff that greet us like family on every visit!
Toloache’s holiday menus are almost always excellent, but their Valentines Day dinner was one of their best! The service was great as well. This is one of our favorite restaurants.
Amazing food. I would go back in a heartbeat. Service, atmosphere, food was amazing. Pricey but worth it and nyc is expensive anyway
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Midtown. I've been going there since it opened. Highly recommend the beef brisket tacos, guacamole and margaritas. It's loud, 'energetic' and the seating is tight, but well worth it.
Had reservations before a show and they made certain to get us taken care of us in plenty of time. Food was good, service was fine and we had a great conversation with the table next to us. It's a tight fit, but worth the squeeze.
Made a reservation on a Sunday at 6pm. Place was packed. No table when we arrived. We were sat next to a very large, loud party with late arrivals. All our personal space was taken.
Food was overpriced, but very good. We left as soon as we could. No second cocktails. We did not have a good time. Staff was apologizing as we left.
The carne was excellent!! Excellent service as well. Highly recommend
Went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon before going to see a matinee. We were seated upstairs. Service was friendly, water was always refilled. Food was fantastic, as were the drinks. I had the huevos mutolenos and my friend had the huarache. Both were fresh and delicious, outstanding dishes! We also each had a margarita - I had the del maestro and she had the peligrosa. Again, both were delicious. For dessert we each had the cafe de Lola and split the lemon tres leches cake. The coffee was excellent, with that orange flavor really making it special. And the cake came with a meringue topping and strawberries. Before tip our meal was $88 - considering location and quality, this is impressive. Can’t wait to return!
Delicious food! Great service- super friendly waiter!
The restaurant was busy! Hope you get a good “neighbour” as the tables are very close together. Food was amazing! Get the lobster Taco you will not be disappointed! The Mezcal margaritas were delicious! The restaurant is very cute. Worth going for a night out.
My friend and I went for dinner on a Thursday night before a show. As with most restaurants in the city, the tables are very close to one another and it is very loud. But the food was excellent and the service exceptional.
Excellent- always good.
The theater week special was delicious and enough for lunch!
2/4/2020 Took my mother there for her birthday then a show right after. Food was amazing, manager that night was very pleasant. Would definitely go there again
Food interesting and delicious service excellent!
It was Just too warm in the restaurant 🥴 but it was a warm day in February yesterday
I am so disappointed in this meal. The food was subpar, the service was okay.
No one enjoyed their meal.
The taco appetizer was the best of everyone’s meal. Entrees were beyond disappointing for all.
The Drinks were good. That was the best of the experience. The drinks.
Food and drinks were delicious. Service was great as well during a very busy evening.
Excellent food and service will definitely go back!
Super crowded, and noise level loud, but the food is awesome. Margaritas are delicious, make sure to have Agavero for after dinner drink.
Great for allergies! They ask about any when they take your order
Picked this place being it was right next door to the show I was seeing that night Wicked. I’m glad I did. Very welcoming. Was seated right away with reservations. Had the blackened sea bass, delicious. The very cute manager was very friendly. He greeted guest making sure everyone was happy with their food and experience. I let him know it was my birthday and he gave my table free shots of tequila. I will definitely refer friends and come back to Toloache.
Great as always. Great service and great food. A bit pricey for the ribeye steak but it was outstanding!!
Service was awful. Waiter forgot drink order three times!
Excellent service and food was unique and flavorful
We didn’t realize it but Restaurant Week was going on! We took the opportunity to try new appetizers, entrées, and desserts. A good value! Armando was wonderful as our server - great service and a fun personality!
Portions not too enormous but perfect size
Excellent food and drinks
