Tokyo Table in Irvine, California is a casual and inviting restaurant serving authentic Japanese fare. Guests can enjoy a menu of hearty meat options or indulge in something handmade from the sushi bar to fit every craving. Favorite items on the menu at Tokyo Table include rice curry, garlic shrimp rice, chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, BBQ kalbi, udon soup, tofu wok noodles and more.
Try something from the shared menu at Tokyo Table and split an appetizer with family and friends. The teriyaki pepper chicken wings, shrimp tempura, sushi pizza, crispy squid skewers and lobster dynamite are full of flavor and made fresh to order.
The food was awesome. Justin our server was so informative and made us feel so welcome. Definitely a favorite for repeat dining.
Delicious Japanese food - try the shrimp tempura. Fresh and crispy, sushi heaven, too.
A great place for lunch with wide selections of oriental cuisine. The sushi side order came out with the main dish prior to before as we wanted, but it was a very busy day and was of minor consequence. The small two person booths are nice and intimate, although the table sets somwhat away form the booth making you reach; again, minor nitpicking. I would highly recommend the udon bowl for a quick lunch.
I feel like I've been missing out on awesomeness !! I've seen this place just passing by many a times and have never gotten a chance to dine here . What a beautiful restaurant !! The staff is so attentive , helpful and friendly . One thing I love from a waiter is when they make suggestions on what they like or what a popular dish is . Charlie was awesome at that ;) the uniqueness of the rolls here and the freshness along with a great staff is what will make me come back again and again ;) already can't wait for next time !! The Lobster crunch roll is to die for !!
We always have a great time at Tokyo Table and always find new things to try on the menu.
Nicole and her staff are great. The food and service is always amazing. We have been going for 3years and never have had a bad experience. Thanks Tokyo Table!!!
Whenever a friend from Chicago visits the area, we eat here. We used to enjoy Japanese food in Chicago and now that I live in the OC, he insists on eating here. The food is delicious and reasonable in price.
We have been here several times- to celebrate various occasions and at different times of the day. We have never been disappointed. The food is always great, and if in doubt, the staff are so approachable/knowledgeable, they give really informed advice and always have ideas/options for every palate. (But I love the Lobster Bomb Rolls and the Yuzu Hamachi Carpaccio was amazing- but you have to leave room for the Honey Toast dessert too- it's delicious. You will go home very satisfied!)
The atmosphere is warm with a lovely positive vibe- but not too loud!
The service was good, overall. It wasn't bad, per se, but it was more reactive than proactive (we had to ask more often for additional orders than being asked if we wanted anything else - a group of guys; gotta keep the beer flowing :)). I'd definitely go back again and would recommend others to try it out for themselves.
Outside dining is Thursday through Saturday only I believe.
We have eaten at Tokyo Table many times for lunch, a few times for dinner, and for a few special occasions. Tokyo Table always has excellent servers, prompt service, and delicious food from a long and varied menu. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Orange County.
Had a great time. Food was good and so was service.
My 2 friends and I shared several appetizers. They were all superb and very reasonably priced.
the staff make the place a great locals hangout!! thank you!!
We had a blast on Mother's Day. We were seated quicky and had no problems with our reservations. Food was good and came quick. It was loud enough for younger kids to eat without having any looks from others.
Went there for Mother's Day as a surprise dinner for my mom. It went very well. Service was good. Food was served quickly. Waiter was very helpful.
Lisa the bartender is the best!!!!
She makes you feel at home. It is a place you can call "Cheers"
I usually come here with my girlfriend to grab a quick bite. Quality is ok here. It's a decent sushi place right by the house.
the shashido peppers are just excellent!
Our first experience,we loved Tokyo Table. We have already been back and our friends loved it!!
I enjoyed the food and would go back. However, they cancelled my reservation when I arrived rather than accepting it. I didn't know until Open Table sent me an email. I had to call, and make another reservation for them to accept. I didn't like that confusion.
A recent business lunch was perfect here. Great service, exciting menu, quick food prep and attractive food presentation. My client also noted it was one of her favorite restaurants. My second visit, and will visit again for perfect business lunches.
Delicious sushi rolls!! Can't wait to go back to try other items on the menu which is huge! So many choices. Everything looks amazing.
I've been here twice and you cannot go wrong with anything you order. My recommendations are mochi au gratin and sushi pizza and any of their rolls. Friends loved the bacon wrapped asparagus and banana flambe. We wanted to order more, but were too full. Service is awesome too!
Always love going to this restaurant!
The service was great. I was greeted by a friendly hostess and served by a helpful waiter. The lunch specials arrived promptly and we enjoyed the flavors of each dish.
I was dying to find a good sushi place in the O.C.....Tokyo table met all my expectations!!!
Definetly try the garlic edemame and the omg roll!
Love the Honey Toast. Sadly, the waitress never came by. We had to get up and flag someone down to order drinks. He said she was on break. She did come check on us when we done eating and dropped off the bill.
This was a good Japanese / American restaurant was what I expected
there used to be on in LA but closed so we had to go there when we were visiting oc. ordered too much food as usual but most were very good.
The bar area and patio seating gets pretty packed, but if you can snag one early, the Happy Hour is FANTASTIC!
fabulous fresh food, knowledgeable happy servers. Sushi pizza and hot stone entrees are our favorites.
Do not be seating in a booth, tables in the booth are to narrow and therefore when sitting you can't reach the table withoug moving your whole body forward which was very uncumfortable We asked the waitress to be moved to a table. Next time I will only sit at a table.
Place and waitress were nice however the food was mediocre. The chicken katsu was really tasteless, had better chicken katsu at other Hawaiian fast food restaurant. My friend barely touched the pork she ordered from the bento box. However we do like the ambiance tho...good for lunch but they just need to step it up on the food quality.
My favorite restaurant in Irvine. Great for a first date, and second..and 7th..
Good food. Good service. No complaints.
Long on style, short on execution.Food was very weak. Fish was not good quality. The highly touted crispy rice turned out to be small blocks of overfried, overly greasy rice.
Enjoyed the atmosphere. Excellent service. Good cocktail drinks. Didn't have to wait long for our food. The waiter asked about how we liked one of the dishes and I told him it wasn't that great. The manager was kind enough to remove it from our bill which shows me the restaurant is classy enough to work with their customers. I had a great overall impression of the restaurant and the people who work there are genuinely accommodating and hard working to give you a wonderful restaurant experience. Would definitely return and try other dishes.
For how amazing the food is it is an amazing price as well!!
The service was quite attentive and the food was good and arrived quickly. We all enjoyed it thoroughly!
