This Nuvo-Japanese restaurant located at the Aventura mall, has excellent food and beverage options and quick and attentive service all around. It has a convenient valet parking option but there is ample free parking available. The restaurant itself is very attractively decorated and has a very upbeat and vibrant environment. From the host experience all the way through the meal it was a top flight experience. The only notable issue to be aware of is that the drinks seem to be a bit more expensive than they should be.

While the food is great, the service ruins it. Table remained uncleared and dirty between courses. They don’t replace plates unless you ask. Not worth the price tag- much better restaurants.

We have had pleasant experiences here, but this Saturday night was unpleasant. Restaurant is very loud to the point where you can’t hear each other talk. Some locations to seat are worse than others. So be careful. Waitress was very sweet and efficient, but she was covering too many tables to be attentive. Food was inconsistent. Shrimp dumplings came out cold. On other occasions, Toku has been great. But, not going back on a busy night.

I always go to the New York one so I was super excited for this one. The place is gorgeous! The food is perfection! One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. The food is exactly like home and I truly love this spot!

We frequent Toku quite a bit…. It is ALWAYS consistent. Delicious food, nice ambiance and great service. Last night… The service was exceptional! Our server Ria was a ROCKSTAR! She was personable, anticipatory, efficient and provided thoughtful service! It is a rare occasion, these days, to find such an exceptional professional in the service industry. This was a family treat. The crispy rice with tuna was OUTSTANDING! We had 4 other appetizers - all great. Try the shrimp dishes. The octopus tartare was wonderful. Also had 4 different maki rolls. My grand-daughters raved about the salmon roe. The food was heavenly. Highly recommend and we will return again and again and again.

Restaurant was empty as it was monday night. As we arrived, 3 different servers came to our table to offer water (we found it was an upsell for fiji water)! Salmon tartar should be called zucchinis tartar based proportion of ingredients. Fried rice/spicy tuna had a japeno “decorating” it (no mention to the decorating jalapeno in the menu). It was ok, but sub-par for the dollars

You have to say WOW when you enter Toku. Decor , layout , staff apparel, tells you you should expect a five star experience and you get what you expected. Menu choices, presentation,wine list, from both modern asian to sushi. It is a fine dining restaurant in an massive mall . The pricing reflects fine dining but the enviroment is still a busy mall with babies ,strollers, shopping bags [ including myself] and families out for a day of shopping etc. All in all, a good addition to the many dining choices in Aventura.

The service and atmosphere was great, couldn't ask for anything more. The food was almost there for a 5 star rating, just needs some tweaking with actual flavors and seasoning. The calamari and duck & lychee robata were our favorites, the rest of the items ordered needed tweaking.

Absolutely awful. I’ve been to the location in NY many times and am obsessed. Do not waste your time trying the aventura location. Food took forever to come out (once we finally ordered). The crispy spicy tuna was so spicy it was almost inedible. Such a turn off that we decided not to order much after. Oh but we did start with the crispy lettuce wraps - besides the presentation looking worse than a kindergartner’s without any color, it was just not exciting at all. Pei Wei and Cheesecake Factory have a much better presentation and options with this dish. Overall, severely disappointed. Would not recommend.

Beautiful modern space. Service was amazing. But, the food was mediocre at best. Dishes barely had any flavor. The duck salad was horrible. You couldn’t even tell which meat was on the salad because it was VERY dry. Very overpriced for the quality of food.

The food was ok. The service was ok. We sat outside so noise level wasn’t an issue. Staff is very nice.
