Tokar Estate is a boutique family owned vineyard and restaurant in the heart of the Yarra Valley. The restaurant’s modern Mediterranean inspired building was designed to both take in and enhance its incredible surroundings. It is the ideal location to soak up the beauty of the Yarra Valley, with sweeping views over the gardens and vineyards to the mountain ranges.

Stop by our restaurant for lunch and make sure you head over to our Cellar Door situated in our newly restored original barn. With its floor to ceiling glass doors, marble bar and stunning view over the vineyard it’s the perfect location to taste our award winning single vineyard wines.

Indulge in our Sunday roast and feast upon our weekly menu featuring a delicious two course shared menu for $60pp. Make an afternoon of it and add on a guided tasting of five wines over at our cellar door before or after lunch. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with 24h prior notice Kids meals are available to order off on the day, with complimentary marshmallow toasting at the cellar door after lunch. Payment due at the conclusion of lunch, credit card is only held against the booking.
Frosty's Kitchen Winter Pop Up

For the month of July only as a one off special winter pop-up, the Tokar kitchen will be taken over by Yarra Valley chef Ryan Frost of Frosty's Kitchen. Feast on a three course menu for $85pp, perfectly paired with Tokar wines available by the bottle and glass. Menu is available weekends only, and will be changing each week - think hearty meals, roasted meats and decadent desserts. Kids menu available on the day, dietary menu with 24 hours prior notice

The service, ambience and wines were excellent, however the food (pork roast) was disappointing as there was a lot of fat and very little meat to share amongst the four of us. We have eaten there before and the food was excellent, so I was surprised that the quality had deteriorated. Hopefully it will improve next time as every other aspect was very enjoyable.

We enjoyed the Express Lunch for two at Tokar Estate. We fortunately had a lovely sunny winters day. The service was impeccable and the food excellent and great value for the two course menu. Highly recommended!

We had a good weekend out at Tokar Eatate in Valley Valley. We liked the burring garden and the ambience of where we dined. However the food was average especially pasta lacked seasoning which we found a bit disappointing. Staff was attentive though there’s a large group they’re serving at the same time.

We had a nice lunch at Tokar for mother’s day. Few things to note: the kitchen did their best to keep up during the rush but that didn’t avoid us waiting a long time for food, which would be ok if just a couple but having young kids with us made it a bit stressful. The food was good, not amazing and at 125$ per adult and $50 per kid (even for a 3 and 5 year old) it did not represent good value. The wait staff did her best to make things move so much appreciated

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years for special occasions. The food is generally great and of generous portions. We came here for Mother's Day celebration today. We had the set menu prepared by Frosty's kitchen. Service was great as usual. We enjoyed the appetisers and entrees. The lamb shoulder was delicious and tender. However, we find the chicken a bit dry. And the sticky date pudding was not warm enough. The butter scotch sauce was warm, but the pudding itself was a bit cold. We appreciate that the restaurant offered us a round table as requested during reservation. The slightly lower rating on the food was based on today's experience only and noting that it was not by their usual chef. Tokar Estate is by far still my favourite winery restaurants

Never disappoints. Great location, spectacular views, friendly and attentive, but know when to let enjoy the food on offer, plates are warm, and the flavours and aromas memorable. Wine is worth it, and thanks for a great day.

Tranquil environment, beautiful view, nice waitress, tasty food, reasonable price. Overall, we will go back again.
