Sorry, but this place is such a rip-off and for the quantity you get, it was very much over prized, 1 tiny fish cost $34, that too on the menu, it showed $28.. my whole family came home last night and felt so sick. We ended up with a bill for almost $700, around $150 average spend for just two people and its not even a 5 star place.. better to spend the $150 at Crown for a whole buffet. The taste and flavours of the food also wasn't amazing and didn't taste like authentic Kerela food. Please save your money !

The menu is small but definitive. Flavours come though well with the right amount of spiciness (leaning towards more spicy). The food is rich so if it s just for two, I recommend just two mains and one starter. The restaurant doesn't provide takeaway boxes, so if you plan to carry any leftovers home, please bring your own (or head over to Coles across the street to grab a 5 pack)

Had a beautiful birthday meal here, the food was very authentic (coming from Sri Lankans) the beef was hot but kept going back for more. The kingfish special was exceptional as well as the eggplant. The restaurant is very ambient, and high touch service. We bought a cake which they kindly catered for and didn’t charge (unheard of these days!) thank you for a lovely evening.

Went twice in 2 weeks with different sets of friends and each time we said ‘This is one place we are coming back too’ ! Zoey & Laura were both outstanding with the way they looked after us as was each dish we ordered and .. we ordered everything !!

Had the best time at the Toddy Shop, it was a rainy day so was not busy at all which was perfect! The food was spectacular and so authentic, highly reccommend.

The food was excellent and our server helped us to order the right amount of dishes for our table. All of the staff were very friendly. Cocktails are great too!

Incredible food that tastes of Kerala, in a laneway location that somehow says Melbourne and India at once. What a great part of the Melbourne dining scene. Go.
