We had a very pleasant experience at TOCA . Staff were very helpful and friendly. It has a warm bistro atmosphere very nice for groups. I personally found the noise level a bit distracting as we had to ask the waitress to repeat herself a few times otherwise it was great. We ordered a half bottle of Paolo Scavino Barolo that was a perfect lighter red, and we appreciated a half bottle as we rarely finish a whole bottle.

My husband wasn’t a fan of the chairs as the legs tended to splay outwards as you moved, so we switched he sat on the banquet and the sommelier brought him a pillow - all better!

As for the food portions were right not too much - very elegant Italian as opposed to rustic, my husband had the melanzano appetizer, which he had me try a little and it was delicious! I had the caprese salad which was unusually served with lobster and it was also very delicious delicate taste. We both chose pasta for our mains hubby had the Ravioli done with a tomato base and I had the delicious gnocchi in a pumpkin sauce. It was really really good, for those who like pumpkin as I do. we also had some lovely desserts I had the chocolate tiramisu which was velvety smooth and my partner choose the pear which was unconventional deconstructed and he highly recommends. The waitress brought us a lovely sacramental san giovese dessert wine that went perfectly with our desserts. All in a lovely night

Everything was good. I would recommend less time between food items. I thought it took a bit too long for the server to take our order and come back.

Service was very slow to start. Food was just okay, nothing spectacular for sure. Service picked up but definitely a glitch to start out...20 minutes for cocktails to arrive.

Fantastic meal last Saturday. They have a great touch on seasoning, flavours, and creativity. Our server was also fantastic. To my surprise (and pleasure), it was NOT stuffy at all. Not a cheap dinner, but best I’ve had in a long while. Start to finish.

Great restaurant. The food and service were fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. It’s a little pricey even for a Ritz. My only complaint was that they charged $4 for a tiny Diet Coke and then charged it again for a refill. Other than that we enjoyed it.

The food quality and the selections are above average and the thoughtful selection of the more traditional "morning" dishes coupled with all the rest makes it easy to fulfill on multiple cravings. The service is subtle and attentive and the re-stocking of popular items is very efficient. The bottomless mimosas add to the fun but must be planned for. The Sunday brunch has the largest selection and should not be missed despite the higher price. The restaurant was at full capacity for our visit but did not feel crowded and movement was easy and the noise level was actually a little less than I would have expected.
We went for a small "celebration" and a change of pace. Will definitely go back and not worry about there being an occasion or just because.

We went for Sunday brunch. Buffet style with lots of choice with breakfast selections and lunch/dinner selections. The star of the show is the seafood table with an endless supply of oysters, shrimp, crab and lobster tails, all of which were of the highest quality, and perfectly fresh. The other options included excellent roast beef as well as chicken and salmon. Lots of nice desert choices as well. Hard to imagine a better buffet!

As you would expect of the Ritz, the food is really high quality with fabulous range of items. The lobster tails and scallop ceviche were amazing. Great desert table as well. The drinks (included) flow constantly. The service was very attentive and friendly. This brunch is a steal for the price! Highly recommended.

A cloudy day was not a good start for the cave like ambiance of Toca. Low ceilings and dark corners will keep Buisness focused, but are not the best for a pleasant lunch.
We had the beef burger- which was actually too much beef. Ritz fries were fresh and dependable.
Service was friendly- but was actually outdone by the Eaton Center Marriott breakfast, earlier that day.
The burgers aioli had soaked into the bun, so did not contribute that much flavour.
Bread service was offered, and was fine- but the net result was an "ordinary" lunch.

My husband and I have been to a few hotel restaurants in Toronto and always left kind of disappointed. Toca is on a totally new level for us. The waitstaff were incredible - attentive, friendly, helpful, and not intrusive. The food was excellent - we each tried a pasta dish and were blown away by how flavourful they were. The dessert was great and the wine was wonderful too. We absolutely loved this place and will recommend it to everyone. Thanks for a magical night!

Our food was fantastic. Both the wait team and the sommelier were impressive. The servings are small, but the food is so rich and well prepared, it does satisfy.

Had one issue with another customer being obnoxiously loud. Quietly mentioned it and it was discreetly dealt with.

We will return again!

Came here for my birthday with my fiancé and had a great experience. We ordered the octopus to start, it was cooked perfectly the homemade sauce with it was so flavourful. I got the mushroom risotto, the flavour was subtle. She got the sea urchin fusilli which was also subtle but very enjoyable.

Food and service very good. However the atmoshere of the restaurant is quite cold and bland. We were seated along the wall bench seating, very uncomfortable. The lighting was too bright and the tables are
too close together. Our server was friendly and very helpful. The sommelier was very rude and ignored us
after we ordered a lower priced bottle of wine. Very unprofessional. We will not return to this venue as
there are many other choices with equally good food and a more comfortable ambiance.

Would not recommend this restaurant at all. Went for an evening out and then a show. Pleasant ambiance and good service but the food was overpriced for what we got - the main entree portion was the size of an appetizer and left us hungry. My wife had ordered the organic chicken and it came with 2 small chicken legs (fried) with 3 small pieces of asparagus. I had the gnocchi (large portion) and it came on a small bowl. Neither meal was filling and when we complained, the server gave us a starter garden salad as compensation. The wines were over priced for a 6oz glass and they forgot to get my wife’s cosmopolitan cocktail; it came when my coffee did. Never again; wish we had gone elsewhere; in fact we went for a pizza after dinner. Dinner was not a good experience, at least the show (Come From Away at the Royal Alexandra Theatre) was.
