   The food was good as it usually is although the roast beef was nice despite being well over cooked.

   We booked a table for 6.30pm and arrived at 6.15pm and waited in the bar with a drink. We were finally seated at 6.50pm after another couple who were there before us but who had not booked. What's the point in booking a table when you just have to wait your turn anyway? At the food counter I chose the beef and my husband the turkey and gammon. The beef was totally inedible, I couldn't even cut it let alone chew it. However after complaining the waiter quickly changed it for the turkey which was quite good. The cauliflower cheese was not cheesy at all however the roast potatoes and cabbage were quite nice. Overall didn't think it was good value for money but then it was bank holiday Monday and I believe it is cheaper in the week, but don't intend returning.

   Very good for what it is. The meat was beautifully cooked and the vegetables were plentiful. I always find the chef's here to be very helpful in what can be quite a pressurised environment.

   Good cheerful welcome, their roasts are superb, and a excellent choice of freshly cook vegetables

   Great waitress served us during our stay and kept checking on us during our time there even during a very busy time Food was lovely and reasonably priced

   Easy to book even on the same day as dining. Pleasant welcome and plenty of room between tables. All in all a very pleasant evening all round.

   We are regular visitors and always find the staff really friendly. Very good value Carvery with plenty of choices, and the food is always good quality.
