   When we arrived we were informed that all of the turkey had gone. In fact, there was very little of any meat (other than beef - and that was very tough!). My ten year old daughter loved it though (apart from the beef) - as roast is her favourite - it’s just a shame there was only enough meat left for her and I had to try to chew through the beef! Toilets could do with being cleaner and tidier, but overall, quite good value.

   We arrived 5 minutes before our booked time and was offered a table in the bar ie no waitress service. I mentioned our booking and was told that we were 5 mins early so she still could not offer us a table. We refused the bar table so they eventually found us one in the main restaurant. The space was uncomfortably warm because we were too near the food service area. We were told that there was no turkey. As we could not eat 2 of the 3 meats available we insisted on turkey and the chef reluctantly brought one out. The food was overall satisfactory. Nothing more. There are far better Toby Carvery's around so cannot recommend this one.

   The Toby carvery is a place where you feel welcome and at home. The food is excellent. The range of vegetables is great and the sweets and drinks are also very good.

   Toby at Highnam represents good value for money. Good location. Family orientated.

   Once again an enjoyable meal with good service and good food and no waiting as we had booked a table.
