Specializing in both Chinese and Japanese cuisine, TL's Four Seasons provides casual dining for lunch and dinner. Using the philosophy of yin and yang, its menu of sushi, soups, fried rice, hand rolls and noodle dishes offers a beautiful balance of flavor.
The owners of TL’s Four Seasons are professional chefs with backgrounds in Asian-style cooking. Signature dishes include Schezwan scallops and a garlic beef tenderloin dish. With its semi-open kitchen, the restaurant allows guests to watch as fresh fish is prepared within sight and made into an array of tasty sushi recipes. TL’s Four Seasons also offers daily lunch specials, and a small selection of wines are included on the menu.
Enjoyed sashimi and several rolls. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I would like to see their Sake choices expanded to improve the dining experience.
This is one of our absolute favorite places and worth the 18 min drive. Consistently great food and service.
A favorite place for our family for years. Fresh, flavorful, unique food. Delicious,
Thank You Ron and Noy for an excelent evening. We were here on 3/21/2015 to celebrate three March birthdays!! The food was great and the service was even better. I have been here several times over the past five plus years. Never disapointed!!
Tried the Crunchy Garlic Shrimp and it was fantastic, would recommend this.. a little noisy but manageable. Would suggest reservations b/c very busy on the weekends.
Have been here many times and it never disappoints. The food is all excilent. Will be back
A must try for any sushi lovers in the northwest suburbs. Great service and incredible prices.
Made a reservation on Opentable but the restaurant didn't check this sight. Luckily they weren't busy at our time otherwise we would have had to wait and that would have been a problem.
The food is excellent. The service is great. The price is right.
Let me start by saying "I know it is a busy time on New Years Eve for restaurants, things come up & you need to be patient".The problem I have is when restaurants are greedy & inconsiderate of costumers time.
This particular business establishment I'm guessing it holds approximately 50-60 consumers comfortably. When we showed up for our reservation, I knew it was not looking good. There were about 30 people huddled around the bar area & blocking the entrance(fire hazard). When I was finally able to approach the counter, the workers were in a frenzy with multiple lists of names/numbers from Open Table & call ins. When I inquired about how long it would be,they said probably about 30 minutes. Ok, again, understandable it is New Years Eve. At that time some of us muzzled our way to the bar & got to talking to some of the others waiting for their table. I then started questioning the organization of this establishment. There were groups of 11, 9, 7, 6, & 8 that had the same time slot we did. Well, I am not a Sushi restaurant business owner, but it doesn't take much to figure out that that is impossible to achieve since a)Sushi is an art & it is a meal which takes time to prepare & serve and b)the restaurant can only hold so many customers at 1 time & it was obvious that the times were badly overlapping. 1 hour went by & I again inquired. They informed me they were working on it. 30 minutes went by (1-1/2 hours after our reservation) & nothing. At that time I approached the young lady at the desk & just plainly asked her if she had a time because the waiting time was not acceptable anymore.
She at that time took it upon herself to rudely walk away. So,that was it for me & my group.
We actually went down the sidewalk to JC's Mexican Restaurant & made the best of the situation who welcomed us with smiles. Not the way we really planned on spending 2 hours of our time on New Years Eve!
*couldn't really rate food..didn't eat there! based it on watching others for 1-1/2 hours
Amazing food, outstanding service. Fun sushi spot as well.
The food hear is always good. We go quite often for the sushi and Chinese
Excellent food, excellent service. Our visit this time included guests from China and they loved it too. They said the Chinese dishes seemed to reflect mostly the Szechuan province. We shared 5 dishes among 7 people and had plenty of leftovers to bring home.
I went with a friend there for lunch and had brought some of the food home. My husband loved it, so we went for dinner. The food was wonderful and service was great. I would recommend this place.
This restaurant has been around almost 10 years and we enjoy it just as much as we did the first time. There is a wide variety of menu items and everything is delicious and freshly prepared... Try the hand grenades or pokie salad! The owner and his team are good people who try to make every experience at TL's a good one! Sam
When we were making requests the waiter said of course we would get extra sauce and whatever else we were asking for - and why would we think that we wouldn't get it! He was very irritated and critical that we were making requests for things we were going to get automatically.
Excellent value and service. Would not hesitate to recommend this place. Have brought many friends here and they all enjoyed the experience.
Everything was good except the hot and sour soup which is watered down
Amazing food. Everyone at our table just raved about the Chinese entrees we ordered. The best we've ever had - seriously. My husband ate a Japanese steak item and said the steak was a little tough, so was not impressed. We ordered two rolls of sushi: the California roll was so so, but the Dragon roll was delectable. Service is average to middling, but I can live with that because of the food. I'm fantasizing about the Kung Pao Tofu right now - yum!
Food was great, service was a little slow and not friendly. Reservation was for a spot near the door and we didn't get that. Reservation was also to accommodate larger people and we were put at a table against the wall which was uncomfortable.
TL's has a great mix of Chinese and Japanese food. Sushi is always fresh and portions are good size. Offerings from the Chinese side of the menu are always tasty and spiced to request (mild/hot). Service has always been top notch.
My only real issue is they are pricey. A dinner for five - two adults, three kids and no alcohol - can run you $150 with tip if you do the Sushi Dinner for Two and a handful of Chinese entrees.
Have eaten here many times, but this visit was very disappointing. Food was subpar, several pieces of chicken so disgusting I had to spit them out. They were inedible. Our early dinner included my 4 children. Inappropriate that the bartender was watching MTV for an hour right next to my table with displays of violence and inappropriate sexuality for us to see. Didn't want to make a scene while celebrating my wife's birthday and draw more attention to the TV so I tried to keep them distracted. Restaurant should be more in touch with what it is showing on TV. Also, we were seated between another large party and the take out staging area, while most of the restaurant was empty. Don't stack patrons on top of each other if you have a choice.
As always the food was great. We tried many of the sushi dishes and loved them all.
This was a great find. Good food and reasonable prices. Also a nice menu selection
We were seated in the back close to the bathrooms, even though the restaurant was practically empty. I got bit by so many Mosquitos. Will never return to this place again.
When guests make reservations it's because they are not wanting to wait. Our server the. Rushed us and took the me is after we had only ordered appetizers. While the food is great, I remember why we stopped coming here.
MY DAUGHTER BROUGHT ME AND MY HUSBAND HERE AND WE JUST ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE AMBIENCE,FOOD,SERVICE ETC..... I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO EVERYONE!
Not quite happy with service received this visit. Starting with arrival, not sure if host even pulled our reservation up via open table. Waiter took our orders and brought our food out. Later came back and ask what soup we would like? I figured if you ordered Japanese food would it not be miso soup but we were given options for hot and sour, egg drop soup. After waiter brought our food we had to ask for our rice to eat with our teriyaki chicken. Instead of bringing individual bowls of rice waiter brought a big bowl of rice to serve as family style. No bowls or plates given to put our rice. Had to put rice in our bento box with our chicken to eat.
Food was Great, kitchen was quick, and tab was reasonable.. Yes, I would recommend to a friend!!
LOVE TL's!! Never have I been disappointed on a dish, whether it be sushi, appetizer or Chinese/Japanese main dish.
First, I want to say the Open Table App is great and so easy to use. I have made reservations through the App about 3 times without any problems. I strongly recommend getting the App! Second, TL's is such a great restaurant. My family can be loud and demanding sometimes and the TL staff has been nothing but courteous and nice to us. They provide excellent service. In addition, the food is DELICIOUS! The sushi - the entrees - everything ... SO GOOD!
Generous portions fo good food. We love to start with sushi and then go chinese for the main course.
We had a variety of sushi and a scallion pancake . It was fresh and delicious. The Mai Thai's were also very delicious! I absilutley love all of the food on the menu at TL's!
TL's Four Seasons provides fresh cooked Chinese and Japanese food including made to order sushi items. What we had was excellent and a generous proportion. Definitely will return to try other items on the menu.
Loved the snapper dish - delish!
we were not impressed upon entering the restaurant. both doors were wide open with a line of people so we were cold as well as those inside. upon arriving to the entry, we noticed that most of the people were picking up food. it would have been nice to have been able to check in and then move out of the way to wait for our table. when we did check in, the hostess did not see our reservation initially and then seemed to find it. even though we had a reservation, she sat two other tables before us. the hostess was not very pleasant. the bartender was very accommodating and the drinks were good. we sat after a short wait. the waiter was nice and the food came very quickly. the servings were large and the food was average and saucy.
The sushi is fabulous and very affordable. Great service by waiters and bartending.
Everything is on the menu is very good and authentic.
The hand grenade is the best!!
Request to be seated in Ken's area... He's the best waiter there!
I thoroughly enjoy TL's and as a local we visit here quite frequently. On a recent Friday night with a party of five girls, we did feel a bit rushed even though we were drinking cocktails and the dining room was not jam packed. TL's wait staff can be hit or miss and this particular night was a bit of a miss. Jeff, the bartender, is fabulous! And the food makes mouths happy. I will continue to visit, but probably more with just my husband while we dine at the bar.
Only thing that i think this restaurat to impove is overbooking issuu. I waited 45 minutes even i had Reservation.
