Best restaurant in NE WI. Delicious food. Big city dining in Oshkosh.

With the high cost of this restaurant in the Oshkosh area, we were very disappointed in the quality of food that we received. For a medium well steak to come out charred and burnt, it is not a place we would recommend or plan to go back to. The lamb my husband ordered was very fatty, we felt like we get better pieces of lamb and steak at Costco. Both meals were bland. We don’t typically leave reviews at restaurants, but we had high expectations.

Food was excellent. It was a little bit unusual because we were there shortly after they re-opened and there were not a lot of people dining yet. The social distancing standard kept some of the tables open. The service was good. The staff was still getting up to speed. The food was excellent. We had the Tagliatelle and crab cake dinner. Food was wonderful. Will definitely return.

Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance for a nice meal. Have eaten here often. Favorite item off the menu. Seems to have gotten more expensive since the shutdown.

Overall of everything was magnificent! Wished they could have been able to honor a Visa gift card towards our bill.

A Scottish theme park is called to mind rather than the elegance expected of fine dining. A great clash of decorating ideas; 16th century royalty, shrines to the birth of golf, clashing wood and tartans, highland cattle all in one eyeful. The boisterous bar open to the dining rooms was immediately evident on arrival. The noise level made conversation barely achievable. The staff definitely try hard, but fall short, they are quite chatty, to the point of obtrusiveness. We needed service several times through the evening as our server was engaged deeply in conversation at other tables. Offering recommendations when asked is appropriate, but an extensive review of the merits of her favorite dishes and libations with every table is over the top. We had basic lapses in service such as failures to provide steak knives, refill water, replenish popover service, and then being brought a soiled knife. A manager delivered our entrees, hovered next to me with the plates and removed my appetizer plate holding it mere inches from my face while serving another. I had to lean away to keep my nose out of it as he bent over to place the plate. After the scripted confirmation on the doneness level of our steaks, all of them were prepared well under what we ordered. Medium rare is definitely not cool and blue. No one came to check on our satisfaction, we had tired of finding service staff by that point and chose to eat them as is. A Delmonico steak with several bands of tough connective tissue was certainly unexpected at a steakhouse of this reputation. High points were a lovely Cajun lobster sauce with the broiled crab cake. I would have liked more crust on the crab cake, a bit more time under the salamander would go a long way. The lobster bisque was good, not great. Parmesan truffle fries suffered from either sitting too long before being served or not being fried at high enough temperature, many were soggy and limp. After 3 courses with several misses, we passed on dessert.

My wife and I live near Milwaukee, and we believe TJ's Highland Steakhouse can hold its own against any steakhouse in the metro area.

TJ's Highland is by far the best steakhouse we've been to in Wisconsin and also the best restaurant in greater Oshkosh. The ambiance is exceptional, the bar has excellent offerings from far away places, and the food is unmatched.

This is a fine dining restaurant! Scottish Highlands, golf club decor- beautiful, quiet, comfortable. Great choice for a special occasion - Anniversary, Pop the question, or whatever...

Steak melted in your mouth.
Sat next to a table of 16, we were two. A bit noisy.
Regular menu seemed a bit pricey, we do live in 'fly over zone'!!!!!
Will give it another once over again at regular prices and evaluate then.

Second time eating here and this time was for restaurant week. Great choices on the menu and I chose the filet. It was undercooked and had to send it back. And the dessert was a bit dry. Service was good but a little drawn out this time. Over two hours which is too long for me. I did find out the normal chef was not in the kitchen so I’m thinking this is why it wasn’t the 5 stars we had last time we ate here. Still highly recommend it.

Friend get together and Oshkosh restaurant week.

Birthday dinner. Was restaurant week so there were a lot of people and a bit longer wait than normal. Wasn’t a problem for us as we were not in a hurry. We will definitely be going back. Nice to see such a great restaurant venue in the Oshkosh area.

Décor is beautiful. Food was excellent. Service was very good. Went the TJ's for Oshkosh Restaurant week specials. Had not been to TJ's before our visit. The remodel was beautiful with the Scottish theme. I had the petite filet special and my wife had the salmon special. Both were excellent. Appetizers were equally good. We both had the tequila sunrise cake dessert, which was awesome.. Would recommend TJ's for regular dining as well.

After being referred to dine here I was excited to try it out with my wife. Overall the service was great, food was ok, and wine was way overpriced. We ordered a $150 bottle of wine thinking we were going to get a great bottle but it drank like a $25 bottle. The steak was good but not great and overpriced in my mind. Oysters and crab cakes were great. All in all I'd probably not done here again, but would recommend to others to try out. For a $300 meal I expected a lot more.

Oshkosh does not have a fine dining restaurant like this! Beautiful redecorated interior of the Scottish Highlands, very cozy, warm ambiance, great for a date, fancy occasion, special event or just a night out.
The aged steaks are to die for, OMG, the aromas! The N.Y. Strip, was very tender and succulent. Lobster tail was fresh and had a rich flavor. We always get the 1903 Cesar Salad, to start, fun presentation, it comes standing in a parmesan fricco, with Cesar anchovy dressing. Tonight we got the oysters on the half shell, they were incredibly fresh, decadent and delicious, unlike anything, I've had in the Fox Valley! We'll definitely be going coming here again! Thanks Chef England! :)

Restaurant was beautiful and very comfortable if the steak wasn’t so salty I would come back lots of money for a steak that was almost un eatable told waitress but no compensation at all🤦‍♀️

Food quality and quantity was over the top. Wedge salad was huge, Seared Ahi was perfect and the seafood pasta specialty was outstanding. Even though we don't eat steak the menu had enough for us to choose from although the wine list might be a little pricey. Great meal!

I think someone in the kitchen forgot our mushrooms and sides, so about ten minutes after the overpriced porterhouse arrived, did we have everything for our meal. It was still delicious and great service but for the price I expected 5 stars and was disappointed.

We were looking for a nice dinner that had a little more quiet atomsphire so we could hear our conversations with our friends without having to talk at the top of our lungs. Saturday night everyone had a 2 hour wait. Read the reviews of this restaurant and gave it a try. So glad we did! We will definitely be going again. Top quality menu, phenomenal steak selections and the bartender hit it out of the park. The presentation of all the dishes were exceptional and the flavor of our food was outstanding. It was Vegas steak House quality. Decor is a little Scottish (hence being on a golf course), but very cozy atomsphire but plenty of room for privacy or large groups. Even has a more casual eating area by the bar.

Great Steakhouse. Excellent service, nice selection of wines. The green bean and mushroom side dishes are really good.

I've had steak several times and each time the medium rare order is rare in the middle third of the steak and the outer sides are too done and has to be further cooked.

I'm a steak lover. I would not find this at the Roxy at a substantially lower price and better value.

The food was good, but not the best I've had. I had the salmon. Although it was good, I've had better at several places, for a lot less money. The server did not get everyone's order correct at my table (table of 7). No one at the table had steak, so I am not sure how the steaks are.
