Tito and Pep
We hope to establish ourselves as a true hub, woven into the fabric of one of Tucson's most vibrant areas. The focus of the experience at Tito and Pep is mesquite-fired cuisine, as well as a full-service beverage menu featuring quality beer, wine, & cocktails.
Applying over 20 years of experience gained across the U.S. and abroad, Chef & Owner John Martinez draws influence from the multi-cultural history of the region and from his travels, to create a cuisine that is vibrant and delicious.
Tartare tostadas were incredible. Portions were very good and all of the food tasted very clean while still having plenty of flavor through spices and sauces.
Had a wonderful meal at T & P. Both the salmon and the shrimp dishes were terrific, the salmon was cooked so perfectly it melted in your mouth. Cocktails were fun, too. I felt they took the COVID precautions very seriously and while I normally prefer to eat outside, I felt very safe here. Highly recommend!
The food was great
Outstanding dining experience! The menu changes frequently highlighting menu items in season and of peak flavor. Chef John and his team continue to knock it out of the park. A hidden gem in Tucson and a must eat restaurant.
This might be my favorite restaurant in Tucson.
The vibe is amazing. Southwest chill. Food is fantastic, delicious and different .
Service was excellent.
Amazing food and cocktail selection! We loved the Queso Fundido, Carne Asada Tostadas, and Pana Cotta!
Love the food and drinks, love the atmosphere. The steak skewers and panna cotta are where it's at. The pork feature they did when we went was great too.
Our favorite date night in Tucson! We love the calamari, queso, and grilled octopus. Every entree we've tried has been wonderful! We've also brought out of town guests in the past that loved it, as well!
My group came here to celebrate a friends birthday and we were all incredibly impressed! First of all, our server Marlie was amazing. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and always made sure we had full drinks and tortillas. We each ordered a different cocktail, they were all so unique and delicious. We ordered a few things off the dinner menu and LOVED everything we ordered. We did not know queso fundido could be so good. We all look forward to coming back here very soon!!
Everything was perfect. Great drinks, food was unique and very well executed! So happy with our meal!
Food was outstanding. Right size portions. Service was exceptional. Will go there again to try more dishes.
Love the food and the atmosphere. Waiters all excellent. John, the owner and Chef is top notch. Nice size portions. Very reasonable prices for a 5 star meal!!
I’m obsessed with this place. Amazing food, wine, service and ambiance. We will be back
Creative dishes. Quality ingredients. Wonderful flavors. Two for dinner on Valentines. My wife tried the shrimp dumpling broth and I went for the trout. Calamari for appetizer. All were wonderful. The wine recommendations were spot on. The staff was excellent. Everything was COVID safe. Highly recommend!
Went for valentines dinner. Great ambience. Many vegan options. Generous portions.
Excellent grilled mesquite pork chop! My husband really enjoyed his salmon meal as well. Friendly waitress-very nice experience.
Everything we tried was delightful - from the calamari to the entrees, vegetable sides, & a shared orange rosemary olive oil cake for dessert. The service was excellent also. I would definitely eat here again the next time I’m in Tucson.
Super friendly and attentive staff. This was only our second visit and the server recognized us. The menu is so unique and all of their food is so amazing! Plan on returning many more times so we can try everything!
Seriously some of the best food and service I have ever had. We had the trout and mesquite chicken special both were excellent and far from the average meal. The apps and dessert were perfect and the mixed drinks were also exceptional. This was our first time eating here and we will for sure be back!
No comment at this time other than slow service
Tito and Pep is one of our favorite local restaurants. Probably our 10th visit and had another wonderful flavorful evening. Great table separation in their mid-century vibe worked to make us feel very safe dining indoors.
Grilled octopus great dish to share and charred broccoli (served cold) with a citrus emulsion were great starters. Better half enjoyed her trout main dish (cilantro seasoning perfect) and my pork chop was an explosion of flavors and cooked to perfection.
Missed out on dessert because dairy allergies limited selection to “none” but that’s ok.
Highly recommend and a must if visiting Tucson or a local!
Would highly recommend Tito and Pep! The food was DELICIOUS - my whole family enjoyed their meal and raved about how tasty it was - the charred broccoli and steak skewers were probably our favorites. Huge compliments to the chef. Prices were also reasonable.
The restaurant is also taking appropriate COVID-related precautions. Our temperatures were taken when we entered, and we were sat at a table distanced from others. All employees were wearing their masks, and wearing them correctly.
Excellent food! Wonderful drinks!
Outstanding, original and creative dishes. The panna cotta is the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted.
The food is great here. The menu changes from time to time, so there's always a new entree, appetizer or dessert to try. The house cocktails are creatively concocted, but they are also good with standard drinks. The Service is outstanding!
Excellent queso flameado and chocolate ganache dessert was to die for!
Best staff, food, and cocktails in Tucson! Always a great experience.
Very nice food, drink and service in a quiet pleasant environment. The sound track music is the best in restaurant I can remember for a long time. I'm certain the restaurant is not happy about the small crowds, however, they are a blessing for an enjoyable dining experience.
Covid consciousness and attention to good prevention. Smaller menu of tapas like appetizers and a selected number of main plates in all the categories - though limited. But the flavors and spicy choices make it now one of my fave places. The drinks menu is also quite creative! Service is super friendly and accommodating. Seating more than 6 feet apart. The desserts are also a must must must and server will tell you what they are at end of meal so save some room.
What a terrific surprise.
Visiting Tucson over New Years and looking for a nice spot. This was a great find. Small format, high level cooking. The menu is small and I’m unsure of whether this is a COVID affect or normal. In either case it’s smart. Probably six appetizers and six entrees. I had their signature dish which was trout and it was outstanding. Margarita rocks which was perfect. My wife and daughter had the salmon and pork chop.
We throughly enjoyed this meal. The icing on the cake was the extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and conscientious team that works here.
Without a doubt we will go again.
A small and very COVID safe dining experience. Yes a list of only 10 or so small appetizer type plates and a similar number of main dishes. Great variety all with wonderful twists on the flavor ingredient combos. You will need to go multiple times to try them all. One of every meat variety and all perfect serving sizes. ESP love the grilled octopus and any fish or meat. The passion fruit dessert is my fave.
This place was the first that checked our temperature before even taking our seats. I made a reservation, they took us immediately and began right away taking our orders.
I had heard of their steak skewers and we placed an order of them for our appetizer and also each ordered our own cocktails. They even accommodated my boyfriend by making his cocktail on the rocks and replacing his glass.
THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Our waitress was very prompt to come and ask us often when we were ready, gave us our time, and even give us her input on what to order!
We finished our meal with their olive oil cake (which I was also recommended to try). Since this visit was for a birthday, they brought out a cute candle.
We were blown away with the service, the style of the place, as well as the ambiance. I've been dying to try this place out and now that I got the BF on board, BRUNCH HERE WE COME!
The food are incredible and the staff was a great!
Awesome all around ! We can’t wait to come back ! Food was awesome our server was great .
Tito & Pep is my favorite restaurant in Tucson. I've been four or five times and every time has been excellent. I lived in NYC for a long time, so I've been to some very good restaurants. Tito & Pep is very, very good. The food and cocktails are interesting, inventive, unique, and, most importantly, really delicious. Highly, highly recommended.
We enjoyed our visit thoroughly, the food, host, waitress, and music.
Best dining in a long time.
Lynn
It is now my favorite restaurant. Please increase menu selections soon because I go often thanks
It was a nice place, but not great. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Everything was great, except our waitress didn't pay much attention to us. She told us she had been there since Day 1, but she must have slipped in service skills since she started.
Great food and value.
