My server was near excellent with only a couple of oversights. The food was creative, fresh and interesting. I was disappointed that the chef relied so much on salt to flavor the food….waaaay too salty but also a crutch for the less adventurous. I had the panna cotta for dessert and it was amazing. Often restaurants that have great food dont have great desserts. I would say it was the highlight of my meal.

One of the best dinners I've had in a while! My wife and I visited with our son for his 21st birthday. We ended up sharing about 2/3 of the menu, one dish at a time. Each dish was better than the previous one. Now I understand why it was hard to get a reservation. The service was stellar and we had a wonderful evening. Thanks T&P!

We enjoyed our visit to Tito and Pep. We've lived in Tucson for 3 years and have been wondering what all the fuss was about. Now we know: excellent food, creative dishes, professional staff and attentive service. Three of us enjoyed the Queso Fundido (which was the star of the show) and the crispy calamari, (also excellent) together with lovely toasted fresh bread. For entrees, my wife had the de-boned, skinless roasted half chicken special which was great; our guest had the grilled bass which she enjoyed; while I had the pork chop which was a little dry as is often the case with pork, but the two sauces and sides on the plate more than made up for it. Our only concern was the loudness of the restaurant. With no carpet, no drapes, and no tablecloths, coupled with a full dining room and busy waitstaff, it was louder than we expected. On a busy evening (and most times the place is packed), don't expect to have an intimate conversation.

Food was wonderfully deserts amazing and the cocktails creative and tasty. Not sure if the sauce on the pork chop was the best option. Pretty significant delay waiting for our mains but server was great about it.

My favorite Tucson restaurant for a special occasion. Ambience, service, food, all excellent. The special cocktails, the appetizers, the entrees, and especially the desserts, were loved by the four of us. Did I mention the desserts? 3 of us had the whole, deboned trout as an entree and really loved it. Would highly recommend Tito and Pep.

Probably the best in Tucson. Noise level detracted considerably from the pleasure of the food and service. Some acoustic treatment would not be difficult or expensive.

Three went to dine at 8:15PM seating. Server was attentive to one of our diners celiac-gluten free restriction. Had a cocktail - Padre Kino, delicious. Hamachi special was a different take with citrus hints, the tuna could have been sliced thicker to stand up to the citrus, but was still very good. Grilled octopus is recommended. Steak skewers were soy marinated. Had the grilled striped bass and pork chops - hailing from Cape Cod, we have striped bass on many occasions and the Tito and Pep version did not disappoint. Pork chops had that mesquite grilled flavor, salsa and refried black beans rounded out the dish. Do not skip the desserts - panna cotta and dark chocolate ganache.

Amazing cocktails! Loved La Ultima Palabra and Catalina Sunrise. Loved the salmon preparation as well as the scallop special. Loved that the seasonal menu highlighted winter citrus and spring vegetables. The steak skewers are also a must have. Great service and an amazing experience all in all—wouldn’t change a thing!

We hadn’t dined here in a while, and we were pleasantly surprised that the food quality has maintained a high standard. The octopus with macha sauce appetizer, for example, is one of the best octopus dishes we’ve ever had. All courses were excellent to outstanding. The only shortcoming was the service, and it was more about the personality of the server, who was otherwise very competent. A general lament more than a criticism is that the menu doesn’t ever change much. Fortunately specials were available on the night we dined.

You know when you get food that is so good, you hold it in your mouth for as long as possible? That was every bite of every dish we had at Tito & Pep. I can't remember when I had a meal that good, with service to match. And the prices were quite reasonable! I'm very impressed, and I can't wait to go back!

Omg the food is sooooo good! It’s amazing that the prices are so low for such quality crafted meals. The queso fundido is loaded with the most amazing mushrooms and pickled onions. Plus there is equal chorizo to cheese. The sea bass was to die for.

We returned to Tito & Pep after a couple of years - it used to be really good. This time the food took 45 minutes to appear after we had ordered, the portion sizes were smaller and the prices were higher. There was no helpful information on why the delay - just a repeated promise that it would out shortly.

I read the NYT review and our dining experience lived up to that great recommendation. Loved the casual ambience. There were 3 in our party and we had the rainbow trout, sea bass and the shrimp. The flavors in all three dishes were subtle and satisfying. Sooo good. The chocolate and cream dessert was out of this world- not too sweet, just perfection. The prices were reasonable too. Our server was there when we needed her but she didn’t hover over us. Tito and Pep deserves a constellation of bright, shiny stars. Bravo!

This was our second time during our 3 month stay in Tucson. Food and beverages were Five Star. Our server last night was not very engaging. We had a 5 PM reservation for a birthday celebration, all our server was interested is getting us out. I would suggest she get another type of job. Great Food
