We hope to establish ourselves as a true hub, woven into the fabric of one of Tucson's most vibrant areas. The focus of the experience at Tito and Pep is mesquite-fired cuisine, as well as a full-service beverage menu featuring quality beer, wine, & cocktails.
Applying over 20 years of experience gained across the U.S. and abroad, Chef & Owner John Martinez draws influence from the multi-cultural history of the region and from his travels, to create a cuisine that is vibrant and delicious.
As always, superb all around. Brunch is a tremendous value.

Tito and Pep has been and will be one of my favorite Tucson Restaurants if not for the grilled octopus alone.

Superb food. Excellent Manhattan. Trout entree the nicest I have had, as was the calamari. The place is waaay to noisy, however.
Great birthday celebration locale! Fantastic food, great, casual no-pressure service, and did I mention amazing food? Just glad we were off to the side so we could hear each other- it was rockin’ on a Monday night!

My wife and I took another couple to Tito & Peps (our 4 or 5th visit). Outstanding food and service, yet again
We visited Tito & Pep a few months ago for lunch, and were not terribly impressed. Encouraged by the positive reviews, we went back - this time for dinner. Everything was fantastic. A delicious cocktail, and mesquite-grilled appetizer (octopus) and entrees (lamb chops and a mahi mahi daily special) as well as small side salads.
My only gripe is that the service could have been quicker, but overall a very good experience and a restaurant we will go back to.
Calamari crust not attached to calamari. Octopus came with sauce on too not on side. Pork chop chewy.
Used a gift card for brunch and not disappointed. We had the French toast and definitely will go back again.
This was my sixth visit to Tito and Pep and it did not fail to satisfy. As always, the service, the food (I had the special albondigas) and the cocktails were excellent. And I hope Chef John never changes the dessert menu, because all three - we ordered one of each and shared as a table (highly recommended) - are excellent and I am not normally a dessert person. Be sure to save room.
Excellent service. Food was creative and very tasty. We had appetizers and salad for dinner. We left very satisfied.
A great neighborhood find with a limited menu if perhaps 20ish offerings. The options are more than adequate esp considering the actual results: fantastic flavors of ideal portions with fun flavors and presentations. Do not seem to have specials as I think the times I have managed to try almost half of the items that are all special?
Definitely try the trout!??
People who want original and authentic flavors in a casual setting rarely think of midtown Tucson. But something great is going on here. Not quite Mexican , not quite anything else. Yet, flavors of the region done imaginatively.
The place is well-decorated, and the staff competent and qualified. However, food is far too expensive for what it is.
The entire meal from drinks to dessert was just perfect. Thank you!
Superlative food (oh, those roasted carrots) and inventive cocktails. Warm and attentive care while we waited for our table. And a great playlist on a mellow Monday night. What’s not to love?
A wonderful find midtown with a tapas type menu with servings more generous by item and order listed on the menu. Open atmosphere at times noisy but bright. Wonderful service and ample parking beside the building.
The upper half menu is basically starter type items and the lower half more substantial. Separate wine list, specialty cocktails and a full bar.
I’ve been twice so far and tried the sea bass Crudo (excellent mixed small bits with avocado and great sauce), lamb chops perfectly cooked though only 2 in a servicing but great flavor, and this trip their famous grilled octopus and posed chop - both fabulous and the octopus esp spicy.
Went there on a Friday night. Had reservations at 7:15. Was seated and ordered the grilled Pork chops. My wife ordered the salmon. Waited for 50 minutes to get served. Unbelievably noisy and loud. They have a small dining space, so they pack in the customers like sardines, so the ambience is poor. I could barely hear my wife talking across the table from where I was seated. Our meals finally arrived and we’re underwhelming to say the least. The salmon was especially poorly prepared, it was sitting in some sort of liquid bath and was soggy. Could not identity what is was. The pork chops were good. We also orders a radicchio salad with pears and apples. All leaves, with a couple slivers of fruit and a few walnuts. Not impressed. To add insult to injury, there is no place to park at the restaurant.
The octopus appetizer was incredible...in fact, we ordered a second one! Mischa the bartender was fantastic ( we actually prefer to eat at the bar). It is well worth navigating the rather small parking lot...better yet, just Uber there. All of our meal was fantastic and we didn’t really mind the noise volume (due to the cool, polished concrete floor). We did not realize what we were missing out by not making this one of our regular restaurants.
Food and cocktails were excellent, and our server was fantastic. Left very happy and not overwhelmingly full.
At 6:45, the restaurant was too loud for conversation without shouting.
We were three for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. I had the shrimp w a red , tasty, mellow chili broth w a delicious corn sope. Couldnt have been better. My friends had the sea bass and raved about the crispy skin and the broth being very yummy and another friend had the strips of beef with the charro beans. He ate it all and enjoyed it very much. It was a very enjoyable meal.
My husband and I went for a late Valentines dinner out hoping for a special experience. We loved our food and the decor was perfect. Our favorite dish was the trout. We don't eat this particular fish much and were just speechless as we at it and it melted in our mouths. We will be back.

Noisy but below shouting level. Food ok, interesting flavors, small portions. Salad very fresh. Service indifferent. We had to ask for drinks, coffee, refills. Overall ok but would not drive across town for this place.
One of our favorites in Tucson. It’s been consistently good since the day they opened they’re doors. A most interesting menu and the execution from the kitchen to back it up. Go!!
Food was great but there weren't appropriate protein options for brunch. The server forgot to place our order and she was unapologetic about it.

The service was excellent and we appreciated the server's recommendations. Fortunately, we had a table in the corner and we could have a nice conversation. Get there early to get the best seating! Really enjoyed the food and the wine.
During our recent visit to Tucson, my husband and I were looking for a nice, couples restaurant that offered a cuisine other than Mexican or Southwestern. (Not that I have anything against those cuisines, it's just that we had had tacos for lunch and Southwestern for dinner the previous night.) Anyway, the menu at Tito & Pep totally appealed to me, and we decided to give it a try. I can assure you, we were not at all disappointed!
The first thing we noticed upon arrival was how friendly the staff was. Our server was immediately attentive and on top of it the entire meal, not to mention she made excellent menu suggestions when asked. There were so many tempting items on the menu, we had a hard time whittling it down. Ultimately, we decided to start with the grilled octopus which they graciously offered to split for us with no "split fee." (I hate restaurants that charge you to split your own food!) The octopus was super tender and rubbed with a really delicious chile and lime sauce.
Next, we each ordered a half salad - T&P Green for my husband and Grilled Pear and Radicchio for me. We were worried that we were ordering too much food, but our server suggested that we each get a half salad which was not on the menu but a perfect solution to our dilemma. I didn't try the green salad, but my husband said it was very good. I was too busy devouring my salad which was perfectly amazing!
Finally, my husband order the grilled lamb chops with pistachio-tomatillo salsa -- 2 chops cooked perfectly medium rare and very yummy. But he said it best when he said I out-ordered him, once again, with my grilled trout entree -- a whole trout (head and bones removed) stuffed with chimichurri and grilled to create a tender flesh inside and a beautiful, crispy skin outside. It was incredibly flavorful and gorgeous.
If Yelp allowed half stars, I would give T&P a 4.5, but since they don't, I sadly must revert to 4 stars. (I reserve 5 stars for the very best meal one could possibly eat a
Fantastic service and amazing food. Highly recommend. We’ve been twice and I think we’ve tried everything on the menu, our favorites are the octopus, the crisps and tuna. The cocktails were also phenomenal.
We ordered the grilled octopus for appetizer and the grilled trout for our entree. These were the best octopus and trout we’ve ever had! Definitely will go back to try other dishes on the menu!
