Great restaurant, we will be going back and recommending to friends. Surprising to find a restaurant this good in a Holiday Inn. Salads were delicious, schnitzel and lamb shank were wonderful, wine list was nice and we were too full for dessert but that menu looked great too. You won't be disappointed.
This was my 6th time...and the food and experience(and value) was as good as ever!.....and i visit from Seattle!
Always a pleasure to dine at this restaurant. Service and food are excellent
We have eat there 3 days and every day was the food and ambiance and the staff excellent
I loved it. My friend was hesitant because it’s in he Holiday Inn. But, it’s not hotel food.
Fresh, creative, delicious food. The little gem salad was wonderful. We split the salad the artisan cheese plate and the gnocchi.
The chef cane out to meet us and described the food and wines. This was a great dinner at a reasonable price. I will definitely return!
Excellent wiener schnitzel and salads; mussels very good too; pleasant and efficient service; convenient covered parking a plus
Don’t be fooled by the location being attached to a hotel. These guys are on their game. Good cocktails. Good apps. Great food. Excellent service. Some of the best schnitzel I have had. Beat the heck out of the fancy French place I went to last night in downtown Santa Rosa that was twice the price. I would go back here for sure.
All four of us really enjoyed our meal at Tisza. The menu had so many things we were eager to try, so I think the menu is well balanced and interesting. The salad was fantastic: full of very fresh veggies and sitting on a pool of puréed parsnips. I had the goulash ( Grandma’s recipe) and it was excellent. I shar d the almond torte and it was also a real treat. I hope to go back soon!
Everyone was wonderful in there. The food was great!
Always a great meal at this gem of a restaurant! The food is consistently fantastic!
Surprised to find the restaurant was in the Holiday Inn however the decor is very zen, food creative and service excellent.
Had wonderful dinner evening before but breakfast was a disaster - wait staff short handed and many customer grumbles. They even turned people with reservations away! We waited 45 minutes for order to be served and were finally told that the kitchen lost the order. We then left.
Don’t blame servers- two very young employees, but did not see any senior person/manager at all.
Once again phenomenal food and service… This is my fifth time there and I live in Seattle !!!! I hope more people discover this hidden gem… But not too many as I don’t want to have to fight for a reservation in the future.
been there 5 times now.
Food is always great.
Enjoy watching the chefs at work in the kitchen.
Interesting wine list.
Staff is always helpful and efficient, even with our large groups
This was our first time there but will not be our last. The host was friendly and accommodating. and our waiter, although very busy, gave us very good attention. She also was friendly, and had a good sense of humor. The menu had quite a verity of dishes to choose from, and everything we ordered was outstanding
We were excited to see a new restaurant with a menu that had different types of food. This place has a far different menu than the standard fare offered.
I was initially skeptical as it’s located in a hotel and we haven’t had much success with hotel food. But I have to say we were blown away with how great our experience was.
So this place is not owned by the hotel but leased to the chef who is also the owner. He has a fantastic place here. Beautiful decor, great bar, wonderful ambiance and incredible food.
We enjoyed the starters, the beet salad was so super tasty and the most wonderful plating with the way it was decorated. The entrees were sublime and the dessert was over the top.
Our service was professional and polite with a touch of personality and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. When we finished, the chef came over to the table to greet us and even posed for pictures.
We will definitely be back.
Because my husband is Hungarian, we wanted to try this new Hungarian chef and his food. We were sad that there weren't more Hungarian food choices, but the dishes that we did have were delicious. We shared the cheese platter and the octopus for the table. They were both delicious and beautifully presented. I ordered the weinerschnitzel, and the server tried to tell me it was Hungarian...it's German. The others ordered the sole, salmon, artichoke and soup, and chicken. All of our dishes were delicious. We would definitely return. It was a nicely decorated place, there seems to be plenty of parking, the manager was very kind, and we knew one of the servers and she sent some desserts...the chocolate pot de creme was delicious, and we also got an almond tart...also very yummy.
Second visit was as good as the first! We will continue to return.
Good food for a reasonable price in a convenient location.
Love this place, a wonderful addition to our local dining..tHe fact that it is in a Holday Inn Express only add's to the charm and delight, in my opinion
The best new restaurant in northern Sonoma County in the last 12 months. Tizsz is now in our once per month rotation.
I had the mussels in a delicious broth, large succulent pieces of mussel in a rich, savory broth.
I paired it with what I call the deconstructed crab louie, that dish was even better ... fresh
dungeness crab with avocado slices and brioche toast, there were perfectly toasted. It was
devine. I will return to try the other dishes.
My third time at Tisza - Mom came with me and the food simply does not disappoint! Delicious! We are going back next week as everything was perfect. Staff Food Chef Ambiance Be sure to make reservations! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This was truly the worst breakfast I have ever had. I ordered the egg white frittata with spinach, feta, mushrooms and tomatoes. It was entirely flavorless except for the rancid oil it seemed to have been cooked in. I could only choke down 2 bites. My husband ordered the 'homemade' granola, which was clearly just poured out of a box. This restaurant is located in the Holiday Inn Express, by the way - not obvious when you make the reservation.
Best restaurant in the area.
Run don’t walk before it’s impossible to get a table!
This is a good restaurant in a very strange location. Located in a Holiday Inn next to Highway 101, it has all the charm of a bland hotel restaurant in Anywhere, USA. However, the food is really very good. The quality of the ingredients is impressive and the delivery is consistently good. We enjoyed all courses and had a nice Hartford Court Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley to go with our schnitzel and albacore. However, the service and the ambiance are simply not up to the standard of the food. The restaurant is embedded in the Holiday Inn - not even a separate space. It's unfortunate because this could be a very enjoyable, successful restaurant. We suspect the chef won't last long here. For now, though, it's a decent experience compromised not by the food but by the service and strange Holiday Inn environment.
The food and service were excellent, the outlay of the resturant was somewhat cramped as we were seated close to the open kitchen, will return for the food.
This is our third time at Tisza, and we’ve enjoyed it each time. My original draw here was that they offered gluten free options, which is a must for me. Our waiter, Nick, was awesome, the food excellent, the cocktails (prepared by Nick) were yummy, and because it was our anniversary they gifted us dessert. The atmosphere is rather plain (open area inside the hotel), but the food and service are definitely worth going for.
Wonderful variety of food and wine. Well priced. Excellent preparation.
Excellent chef! We’ve eaten here twice and both times we were blown away by how great the food is. Each dish was so unique and top quality delicious.
Best food in Windsor!
Everything we had was delicious!!!
The food was good. Somewhat loud, but it is a bar.
We had a lovely time and fantastic dinner at Tisza.
Absolutely delicious food and great service.
Cannot wait to another dinner.
Also we can walk there!!
Excellent, creative menu and remarkable food. Service was solid. Relatively unique restaurant for this area. Don't hold back, try the octopus, Weiner schnitzel, etc.
Plenty of creative drink options and fun bar.
It’s so nice to have this in Windsor! All of our dishes had a lovely presentation. Services was outstanding and we will be back again.
Excellent food, best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. Salmon was outstanding. I went for my first time in December and took friends two days ago. Friendly staff. Highly recommend you try this awesome restaurant. I know I will go back.
Very welcoming and accomodating for our party (not all guests arriving simultaneously). Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Table server very happy to answer questions about menu. Worth the drive from Santa Rosa!
My wife and I tried Tisza on the recommendation of a close friend, and we were completely satisfied. Both dinners (Wienerschnitzel & Hungarian goulash) were excellent, the portions were well chosen (not so large that we stuffed ourselves, but just enough to fill nicely) and the wines complemented the meals. We're looking forward to going again. Thanks.
Excellent food and service. Very friendly staff. They presented a very wonderful Easter brunch with appetizers and desserts to choose as many as you would like from the bar counter and a variety of entrees from the menu.
Exceptional European influenced menu with a interesting twist of contemporary touches. We will go back often. Truly a delight!
