Tisza Bistro and Bar
Excellent menu & food. They offer unique items that are perfect for date night or special occasion
We loved EVERYTHING about the restaurant except the noise!!! We had to shout to each other to talk and hear. That’s a big deal to the over 60 . It’s the main reason we don’t go to sweet peas and the new brewery in town, been there and it’s the same, please do something about it as we loved the place.
One in our party of four has medical limitations regarding what she can eat, and the waitress and kitchen were so warmly accommodating and beautifully creative. Other than the room temp a bit chilly on a hot summer evening, we had a superb meal and dining experience. Thank you, we all will be back, and refer others!
Great dinner. Everything we had was delicious! The wait staff was attentive and pleasant.
Limited menu of German, Hungarian and American specialties. The food is superb. Ambiance ok. Better when it’s not crowded. The wait staff is hard working and very attentive. Highly recommended.
Excellent as usual! You can count on quality every single time
Very good as usual. Artichoke is outstanding. Filet of sole great. Wife loved the scallops. Tomoato bisque soup was too salty for my taste. Overall, another great meal at Tisza
As usual the Schnitzel was superb. The salmon cooked to perfection. The beet salad is outstanding. Best though was the marzipan tort. Ignore that the restaurant is in a Holiday Inn. Lovely place for a great meal.
Tisza is a fine dining place with a great chef and good value. We've been many times since they've opened and continue to explore their exciting menu.
We have never experienced better prepared artichokes; the chef has captured exactly what they have to offer! We enjoy breakfast and lunch as well.
The public can't believe this fine restaurant is in a Holiday Inn!
This is our second visit to Tisza. This time we brought two friends, hoping that they would like it as much as my husband and I did. From the first bites of the appetizers, our friends were impressed, as we were, again. The quality and ingredients here are top notch. The beet salad is the best I've had anywhere - great combo of goat cheese, pistachios, balsamic "pearls" - delicious. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel, again. It's a dish not easy is to find up here, and perfectly prepared @ Tisza. My husband and friends ordered Osso Buco, Trout, and Salmon. Each dish got a hearty thumbs up. Can't wait to return, and bring another set of friends to impress.
During the day your view is of the weed strewn medium in the street. Don’t know why this hasn’t been attended to. Not very conducive to your ambiance.
I’ve eaten here several times and every time, it’s a home run!
You’d never think this little restaurant would have such delicious/ interesting food inside a Holiday Inn, but it does.
Highly recommend it!
Very Noisy, between loud poor piano playing, staff throwing stuff around in the Kitchen, asked server for a quieter table, we were moved but very obvious that she was very unhappy to do so. Left before ordering food
Another wonderful visit.....great food, staff was engaging. Took a relative visiting from Europe who really enjoyed the food and the head chef’s connection to Europe. Made a point to compliment the the kitchen staff which later turned into a table-side visit from their Sous Chef.
Excellent food and service in a surprising location. We are looking forward to returning.
Nice addition to the Windsor eating out scene. We will certainly go back. Artichoke appetizer is a real winner.
Very nice surprise for the location- inside the Holiday Inn. Food was very good and authentic. Would definitely return if in the area
Surprising to find a quality restaurant at a Holiday Inn, but it was REALLY good!
Superb food expertly prepared, with great variety. Crab Louis? Check. Heirloom Tomatoes with burrata? Check. Goulash? Check. Weiner Schnitzel? Check. Petrale sole? Check. Good wine list, reasonably priced? Check. Elegant Ambience? Well no, but you can’t have everything.
One of the best dinners I have had in the last 50 years
I made a reservation and was seated in the worst table in the restaurant. It’s right in the middle of everything, turned at a wonky angle. I asked to be moved and they said they couldn’t even though there were tables available. Just not a two top. So we moved to the bar. Bartender/waiter was nice and knowledgeable.
I hesitate to write this because we love this place so much and don’t want the secret to get out! Every meal has been outstanding. Great service and outstanding food! The menu is amazing!
Great food and Chief. Good value all around. Duck and lamb were the best I ever had!
We got to try a rock fish and hanger steak, both d perfectly done!
We shared a starter, heirloom tomato with burrata cheese salad, wonderful way to start the meal. Well crafted cocktails and great selection of wines.
We loved the Hungarian wax pepper with paprika side so much, we asked for more!
Compliments to the chef, he does a great job offering the Eastern European and German flavors and dishes but also delicious American food for the less adventurous guests.
A true neighborhood gem!
Just enjoying dinner with my daughters family
What a hidden gem. We made the reservation and were reluctant when we found this restaurant located in the Holiday Inn. We were Seated in a comfortable room and greeted immediately by Brittany (sp?) who was young, beautiful, and extremely personable. She guided us through the menu and made the meal even more delightful than food could without her.
The tuna tartar appetizer was a great start and I felt very confident that we made a good choice. We Wiener schnitzel, jager schnitzel we’re both the biggest hits at the table, but every dish was delicious and everyone was very happy with their choice.
We all ordered desserts and we had delicious bottles of wine.
We all walked away extremely satisfied.
I can’t wait to return to Windsor Ca just for dinner!!
There were five of us. Everyone ordered a different meal and all of us were very pleased with what we ordered. Not our first time there and not the last either. Always outstanding.
Tisza never fails to impress me. It was a busy night with some large parties so it was a loud night. This by no means distracted me and my guest from a wonderful dinner. Chef Krisztian frequented the tables too.
The service was excellent! Our server was happy to share her recommendations and her favorites from the menu, and was very friendly. Our food was wonderfully cooked! I loved the rustic European theme with a modern touch on the menu. Definitely will recommend this place to others!
Every time I return, it gets better. The food is excellent. The service is also excellent.
Good service and tasty food, good for friends get together
Tisza Bistro was a "find" and we enjoyed it. We have been several times since we found it. The food is outstanding and very well presented as well. We love this place
The last place you would expect to find a restaurant like this within a standard chain hotel along the freeway- a true surprise. Very pleasing interior. Service attentive. Food delicious, imaginative.
Tisza is a very welcome addition to the fire ravaged restaurant scene here. We will return soon.
Absolutely perfectly cooked meal. Flavor was outstanding.
Excellent food; outstanding service.
Second time there, so amazing! Great host, great busser/ runner and great server- wish they were all like this staff! Very attentive, friendly, and just a fun place to enjoy really good food (and drinks)! We sat outside both times, my favorite although it's really nice inside and even had a pianist. Side note: live seeing the baby goats next door by the parking lot!
What a delightful surprise! I was a little hesitant to go into a restaurant at the holiday inn. The food was fabulous, was true authentic schnitzel! Best on the West Coast! Great cocktails, live piano music and great service! We even got to meet the chef! Wonderful experience!
You have to try this hidden gem! Tisza is located at the Holiday Inn Windsor Wine Country and is a great addition to the hotel and community. I have not had a bad experience here. All food is fresh and artfully prepared. What a wonderful treat!
Excellent dinner out for my husband and I. Loved this place!
Food is very good. The chef is accommodating with special requests when he can. Service is good too.
