The best German weinerschnitzel in the County!
Love this hidden gem, a bit hard to find as it's in the lobby of the Windsor Holiday Inn Windsor Wine Country. EVERYTHING IS GREAT except the $20. corkage fee - which is waived on Mondays. I highly recommend.

Enjoyable restaurant week menu - soup was delicious as was the jaeger schnitzel and pound cake. All so good!!!

participated in Sonoma restaurant week...soup and salad were great. The duck and fish dishes lacked flavor..one of us had to ask for salt/pepper...always not a good sign

Restaurant Week: Tisza is always exceptional. We dine here frequently for lunch and occasionally for dinner. It never fails to be a gastronomical experience!! Finest quality foods with impeccable presentation! I highly recommend Tisza!!

Well executed appetizers (octopus, artichoke, soup) and mains (duck confit, schnitzel). Service was friendly and very attentive. We're looking forward to visiting again!

Friday night during Restaurant Week was extremely busy and noisy, even with our early 5:30 pm reservation. There was a long wait to be served once we placed our order. The quality of the meals were marginal to alright. I had a crab "louie" which was mostly a creamy sauce with a little taste of crab. The salad was good. My husband had at the restaurant week special --The beet salad to start had very few beets, and lots of greens. The entre of Petrale Sole with a sauce and some vegetable was moderately ok. The dessert of strawberry shortcake was small with a piece of plain short bread, and a big blob of whipped cream and a couple of strawberries. The regular wine list was very expensive for single glasses. The house wines were marginal -- sort of flavored liquids.
We were anxious to leave as soon as we paid our check because of the volume of noise. When we got back to the car, we just sat in silence for a few minutes to calm our ears and nerves.

The staff works together like a well oiled machine, food came out hot, perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious! You totally forget you're in a hotel restaurant. One of the best burgers I ever had and my husband said the salmon could not have been any better. Will be going back for sure!

Restaurant week. First time. Limited menu. Will go back to try other regular menu choices. $29 dinner but wine $14/glass made it not worth the overall cost of dinner.

We had lunch during restaurant week. My husband enjoyed the Salmon salad very much, and I loved the weinerschnitzel! Our waiter was attentive and the wine was very good. Our dessert was an amazing black forest cake. We have been here several times since they opened and have never been disappointed.

Tisza's menu offerings are a fun departure from the usual "California Cuisine / Wine Country" fare -- jaeger schnitzel, spaetzle, potato pancakes reminded me of my German grandmother! They also offer hard-to-find German and Austrian wine. Unfortunately, all of this is spoiled by so much noise that I could not hear the dining companion sitting next to me, let alone across the table. Our party of four gave up trying to have a conversation halfway through the meal.

Outstanding food and service every time we eat at Tisza!

The cauliflower parsnip soup was exceptional. It was light in texture with great flavor.
The schnitzel was large, very well prepared and had a very tasty mushroom sauce on it. All of that was served over spatzle.

We are regulars, but this time there were some unfortunate events that happened. Hopefully the staff at Tisza will learn from them once the manager takes care of the situation and the severs/busers will be educated on the right way to handle things.

The food here is solid though and we plan to return. You think it is weird that it is in a Holiday Inn but the food will definitely win you over. They are doing a great job with the menu.

This is a hidden gem in Windsor. The decor was modern, chic. The food was old-world delicious. I had the Wienerschnitzel and my wife had the salmon. Both cooked to perfection. We had their in-house beer (pils) - perfect with my schnitzel! If you're looking for a German-style meal in Sonoma County, this is the place to go.

everything was good but the service. There were several times that we had to ask for something numerous times, they were all to busy visiting with each other.

We go there a couple times a year. Usually take friends. Nice European/California menu. I often order the Schnitzel. Service is always good. Nice atmosphere too

Loved everything about this restaurant. We dined with some friends that have eaten at the restaurant a few times, and now we can see why. The food was so good!! We will definetely be going back. The service was great, too!

Parking is a very real problem, especially Friday or Saturday and during Happy hour.

Menu for Valentines Day was not too innovative. Dessert was ordinary. Prime rib was excellent but we should have been asked how we wanted it cut as we like thin slices plus the portion was huge! Veggie was cold. Excellent salad and appetizers. Get a better location.

My husband and I celebrated our 27 year anniversary on Valentine's Day and chose Tisza. Everything was wonderful - from the appetizer to the entrees and the delicious dessert! I am excited to host my company dinner here next month!

Best restaurant in Windsor and I would think the best restaurant in a Holiday Inn in the USA. Don’t let the location fool you. Food is always great and might be the hamburger in Sonoma county.

We had a fabulous experience and the menu is glorious – full of variety. We had a lovely creamy cauliflower soup and it was delicious. Loved also the spaetzle mac & cheese – just make sure you’re not on a diet! Loved the look of the entrée salads going by with salmon and steak. The chef is Hungarian and very hip, but I really wanted to try that Wiener schnitzel and it was so crispy. I will be back! And the warm marzipan tart with vanilla ice cream was heaven!

This restaurant is a cut above most, serving delicious creative dishes by attentive wait staff. The plus on Saturday evening is having the live piano music playing in the background during dinner--a lovely retro touch for an exceptional restaurant. My only negative comment would be that the bitesized (gratis!) appetizer was too heavily salted on top and ruined the subtle flavor. My pasta dish was very good, but again, a little salty for my taste. That aside, this place is four star. And, the bar is tasteful and the drinks very good.

A meal worthy of a higher-end Wine Country experience. Delicious and expertly crafted. Side portions a bit small, so as not to be overpowering. Heads up, each drink was as much as the meal it came with. Friendly and fast service. $$$
