Music was playing much too loudly during lunch hour. There were only a few tables occupied, so they could have brought the volume way down. It took over 20 minutes to get our sandwiches. Service seemed extremely slow since the restaurant was fairly empty.
My husband's favorite place for your wonderful fish and chips!
Very good fish and chips. An excellent fried chicken sandwich. Interesting beer selection. I could have done without the hair on the lemons of our water glass however. Kinda ruined dinner.
We were seated immediately and approached by the waitress quickly. She was friendly and attentive at the beginning. After we received our drinks and food was ordered they moved her area and we were the only ones in that section she was waiting on. We never saw her again until I stopped her because they forgot the dressing for my salad. I was finished my entree and had been waiting to catch her. After that we sat until she was delivering drinks to another table and over her shoulder asked if we needed anything else. The check was taken care of quickly. She was nice but we were definitely forgotten.
I wrote to them and never received a response back. I told them that the restaurant was like being in a sauna. I’m a person that’s always cold I bring a sweater and a raincoat and I couldn’t even wear them and I actually felt faint part of the evening. The food was good but we had to cut the visit short because of the heat. I told the waitress and nothing was done. I won’t go back because I didn’t even get the courtesy of a response back from them and that bothered me more than anything
The food was wonderful. Our waitress was clearly in a bad mood and it reflected in her service to our table.
Had a great time at this pub on the patio. Service and food were spot on. Great place to hang out on the patio, gather with friends, and enjoy the sun.
Tir Na Nog was very accommodating to my larger group. The server was considerate and had the appropriate amount of service during our discussion. Will definitely return again when hosting as they were able to meet all requests.
great place went on a Thursday evening so not to busy just perfect! loved the service and the friendly greeters, all ready for us no wait. Food was good loved the fried oysters!! Yum : )
An excellent Fish and Chips and a terrific Chicken sandwich. Great looking spot (sit in the library). And great drinks.
nothing special , will not return, service was slow for hardly anyone being there on a Sunday evening.
We've been here a few times and the food and service is always great. I love that they offer different items while keeping it not crazy so that all can enjoy.
Maura our server was great. We were meeting old friends for a leisurely lunch and did not rush us. Lovely lunch.
The pizza came lukewarm and one order of the chicken dish yielded a strange piece of fatty chicken and the rest overcooked and dry. The Fish and Chips were very good! If they have happy hour drink specials in the other facility then they should be the same in Voorhees -- you cant tell when you go to the website so we were turned down for the Friday specials because they were not in Voorhees, where we were.
Who ever heard of a Irish Restaurant on St. Patrick's Day with a band that was not playing Irish music. On top of that, I had made reservations for this day 2 months in advance. THE DAY BEFORE, they called me to tell me that they would not honor the reservation because of St. Patrick's Day. I thought that was ignorant and totally customer INsensitive.
I had shepherds pie wife had irish stew both were excellent. Service was quick waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Little too loud when we entered but we were seated in an area away from most of the noise.
Pre...saith Patrick lunch...server was very freindly and attentive. I Ordered the fish and chips the fish was oily and the inside was like mush. My wife had corned beef sandwich she said it was very dry and a little tuff.
The coffee smelled like bleach it was not drinkable...
After 15 minutes at our table with no waiter or waitress even looking at us let alone greeting us we left with no one noticing.
Good Irish pub feel. Food was very good. Service was courteous and prompt.
Was hoping for Irish music.
Great food, comfortable seating, multiple smaller dining rooms makes it a bit more intimate.
Felt really rushed. Our waiter could not get us to order fast enough and was at our table the second we were done in between bites. It was truly obnoxious. The food was ok, but nothing special. The drinks were just ok as well. It's been a while since I've been here and now I remember why I don't go back.
Went for a Sunday dinner, really didn’t need a reservation and even though it wasn’t very busy they seemed to crowd the smaller dining room and used the larger for overflow. The table for two that we had was adequate but you felt like you were right on top of the people next to you. The service and food were good but nothing to rave about, there was only one waiter for the room we were seated in and at one point was covering over six different tables. I had ordered the NY Strip and wasn’t given a steak knife for it the waiter offered to bring one but that never happened. When the check came I had the ask to have a beer removed that they were out of, when it came time to sign the bill the beer wasn’t removed and I really didn’t want to wait for him to come around again. The overall atmosphere was very inviting but everything else left us really disappointed and probably won’t be going back.
My husband and I had been to Tir Na Nog for a birthday party about 2 years ago. It was held in their upstairs. The food was excellent that night. The service seemed good... hard really to judge on that occasion since I really had no direct contact with the servers since it was a buffet. This evening my husband and I took our son there to celebrate his 25th birthday. The way we were greeted by the hostess kind told the tale of how the evening would go. When I made the reservation, I noted on the Open Table reservation that it was my son’s 25th. When we walked in the restaurant, I gave the hostess our name for the reservation I made. She didn’t even make eye contact with me. I thought it would be her job to note that this was a special occasion. We were greeted with zero warmth. I tried to get her attention one other time during our meal and she looked at me and kept walking. It was at least 20 minutes before a waiter even came to the table. I had to ask for bread to be brought. They forgot my son’s salad and it got brought out with his dinner. The waiter seemed like a nice guy but it was clear he was spread thin. My NY strip had no taste. I felt embarrassed because I wanted to take my son out and show him a nice time on his 25th birthday. I think the Tir Na Nog restaurant is a really cool concept. They really need to up their game in their level service and attentiveness to their customers and the details that make a dining experience special.
had a going away party here and everything was great from the food to the entertainment and energy of the establishment. will definitely miss this place!
We had a party of six and went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately (our table was reserved) and we were in the library. What great ambiance ... and a fire in the fireplace made is toasty warm on a cold day. The brunch and bar menu had wonderful options for all and no one was disappointed! Our server was amazingly attentive and funny! We have been to several Tir Na Nog's (New York and Philadelphia) and this one might be one of our favorites. We will definitely be back when in the area.
It was Valentines Day and I had a date with my wife. They had a special menu which was a three course meal including a glass of champagne for just $55/person.
We will definitely be going back!
We went for Valentine’s Day. There was a Valentine menu that was given to us by our hostess. We asked to order off the regular menu and this turned into a big deal. The hostess, an older lady, was told she was supposed to push the holiday menu & she’d need to ask if it was okay. The entire situation was uncomfortable and we nearly left but then she did come back with the regular menu. I eat out for enjoyment & really didn’t appreciate the unpleasant drama as if we were wrong for wanting Irish pub food at an Irish pub or that permission would be needed to order the food we wanted.
That aside our waitress was wonderful, my Guinness was pored perfectly & the fish & chips was delicious.
Nothing special here. My corned beef and cabbage was good but no one else was too impressed with their dishes. Even the selection of ales was pretty meager, especially for a place touting itself as an Irish pub. And the special Old Fashioned was watered down, overly sweet and overpriced. Service was fine. This probably might be a better option in warmer weather or during a big game. Atmosphere was sort of pubby, but felt a little too clubby also.
Had a party of 10. Service was only so so, as there is an automatic 20% tip with parties of 6 or more. Food was good. Server never refilled waters, and was around infrequently enough that I couldn't ask him to.
Portions have been reduced over the years specifically for the Fish and Chips. But it's still great.
And their Corned Beef and Cabbage is still epically good.
This restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere and the food is great. But what really sets it apart is the service. Attentive but not hovering, cheerful and efficient. When one of our party found one dish to peppery for her taste, the waiter apologized and the item was immediately taken off of her bill. The food is attractively presented and there are nice versions of traditional Irish dishes. The room we ate in was small and cozy, with a working fireplace, but when it got a little too warm, the waiter immediately turned the fire off to make us more comfortable. This is the second time we have dined at Tir Na Nog, and both times were very enjoyable. We will be back!
I had the fish and chips and my wife had the sea bass. Both were very good. They have a good variety of beer. One of the things I like best about the place is the various rooms that lend itself to a cozy and comfortable environment. The service is always good and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable about the selection.
Food has yet to disappoint. Highly recommend the Mushroom pie and a glass of Merlot or pint of Guiness. Service was exceptional.
The atmosphere was great but the lighting for older citizens is very poor, especially around the step area. The food was very good but a little pricey. Our server , Mandy was wonderful. I ordered the fish and chips and it was just okay. As a whole, it was a pleasant experience
Our waitress was wonderful and that was the only positive experience of Tir Na Nog. A reservation was made although it wasn’t needed. We were sat in a corner table which wasn’t the most comfortable seating arrangement for a Friday night. We ordered the calamari which came out too quickly. It was undercooked and mushy. Then our entrees came out. One was the beef short ribs with wasabi mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes just had chunks of wasabi in them which was very offputting. The whole dish was under seasoned and seemed as though it sat under a warmer. Not an enjoyable dinner for $25. The other entree was the sea bass. Immediately came out with a burnt smell. The roasted vegetables and potatoes were more than roasted, they were burnt. Overall a bland unpleasant dish for $25. Neither of us finished our meal, not wish to return to the restaurant again. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
We were pleasantly surprised at the excellent food and lovely atmosphere...it will be somewhere that we'll return to.
Great food and excellent service! We shall be returning!
It's a nice enough place. Food was okay, I wouldn't rave about it. I'd go back there.
