Tir Na Nog

I had the Shepard’s pie, it seemed like they used frozen peas & carrots instead of fresh. The potatoes on top were yummy but underneath the meat was greasy.
My boyfriend got the fish & chips. The chips were good!
The restaurants atmosphere was nice. Dark wood & stained glass.
I wouldn’t go back for a meal but probably for drinks & appetizers.
Every time we come to Baltimore we eat at Tir Na Nog. In nicer weather you can sit outside and over look the harbor. Will definitely return the next time we're in Baltimore!
Great shepherds pie. Nice selection of beers on draught
Tir Na Nog is my go to in Baltimore if I am looking for a great Irish meal with friends. The lamb shank is amazing as are the lamb meatballs. I like the steak and Guiness pie as well, can't go wrong with either!
Must be short staffed. Very slow service. Olive oil cake not good. Fish n chips was just ok. Wouldn't recommend it.
My criticism is that the confirmation email with my reservation stated to use a certain parking garage in order to get validated parking. But the hostess told me it had to be a different parking garage. The restaurant needs to update their garage listing. We ended up paying $15 in parking.
Excellent service. I booked a table online and messed up the number in the party. I only put in 2 but we had 5. No problem at all, the accommodated us with a smile.
Delicious! Nice change from seafood, seafood, seafood.
Good food with a friendly atmosphere! If you like Irish cuisine and you ar in Baltimore. Check out the this restaurant.
We were in town for a convention. It was delicious, a great burger. The service was fast and very friendly and attentive. The view of the harbor was stunning and the decor inside is lovely.
Food was decent but not spectacular. While the food was delivered quickly, service was otherwise extremely slow. Had our server visited our table, or paid attention, we would have purchased more than our original drinks. This was at a time when neither the restaurant nor the bar was crowded.
Dreadful food. Server was nice but ill informed - she couldn’t open a bottle of wine with a cork!! Clientele was mixed and we were approached at the table by beggars. Not nice.
First - we were a large party (of 12) during a busy time (Fleet Week). We were seated promptly. Having only one server meant lots of delays for simple things like drink refills. Food took nearly an hour to come out, and that was a bit of a struggle when there were kids. Mixed reviews from the group on the food. Seems like typical pup fare, some great, some not so great.
Great views of the harbor during the fleet week air show!
Service was terrible. Wouldn't see our server for loooooong periods of time. Food took forever and was just blah. Charged us gratuity (8 adults) which was NOT earned!
This dinner was a disaster from beginning to end. Once we were finally seated, we were given the most uninformative menu I have ever come across. The fish and chips gave absolutely no indication of the type of fish, the item that said rockfish neglected to provide any information about how the fish was prepared and the server was not really sure. The menu listed both Maryland crab and cream of crab however the kitchen absolutely refused make a half and half (practically a staple in the Baltimore area) come on, is it really such a chore ladle half of each from the pots into the cups. I was not asking the kitchen to create a new culinary masterpiece. As if this snowball had not gained enough momentum, the codfish arrived with so much batter it would have been a meal in itself. And to add insult to injury the fish was so over cooked in had to pull it apart with my hands to find the inedible over cooked fish inside. I have not a single positive comment about this restaurant. Bad beyond belief!
My husband had crab cakes, which he loved. I had rockfish, which I hadn’t eaten before. The flavors were very good, but I found the fish a little “tough.” We will return the next time we are docked at Inner Harbor Marina.
In Baltimore for a convention and saw this place on the corner at the Inner Harbor. Simply by gut we gave it a try, mostly because we thought the name was cool and different. The gut was right again!
My friends said the crab cakes were phenomenal, and the appetizers we had were really awesome too!
The menu had plenty to chose from and the draught beer selection was pretty stellar. Couldn't have gone wrong if I tried.
Ate a late lunch and very happily seated with a lovely view of the Inner Harbor. The beer list was excellent and the service was friendly. Greatly enjoyed the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My companion had no complaints about the short rib grilled cheese. Would happily return when in Baltimore.
Tir Na Nog is convenient to the tourist area of the Inner Harbor hotels and convention center, so it's a great choice for a lunch or a more relaxed dinner. While attending a conference (staying at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel), my friends and I had a couple of hours free for dinner before going back for more conference evening activities. We wanted something that wasn't a chain (and there are plenty of those in the Inner Harbor area), but we also needed something close to which we could walk. Tir Na Nog did a superb job of fulfilling our expectations, and thanks to our Open Table reservation, we got the exact type of table we had requested. I loved my shepherd's pie and Guinness, and we all appreciated the lovely view and happy atmosphere. It's a great place and I'd definitely go there again!
They held my reservation for an extra fifteen minutes, which was a relief after dealing with city traffic. The food is good, but not exceptional. I had corned beef & cabbage for dinner and I have had better home-made so it did not impress. The bread pudding I had for dessert, on the other hand, was amazing.
Love the atmosphere, but there are a lot of steps everywhere to different parts of the restaurant making it treacherous.
Great for July 4th
An average Irish pub with great views to the harbor. Lots of beer on tap, greasy mussels prepared sand white wine broth, food wise, dissatisfied, hostess not really interested in guests being seated near the harbor, but the staff ends up sitting their in the prime seats, on their mobiles, eating dinner themselves, instead of services offered to the visiting guests...
We sat outside which was very nice on a warm June afternoon. I had the fish and chips which were good and they have a nice beer selection.
Dinner before a concert. Very nice location and easy walking to Royal Farms Arena.
Great view of the harbor, goes great with a Guinness. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was ok, the chips (fries) were way over cooked, mostly inedible. Our experience was fine, but felt the food was overpriced for what it was. The view is great though.
Was not all that pleased with having to climb all the stairs to get to the restaurant and then additional steps for seating since i had recently broken my hip and need a cane to get around. Restaurant was fine. Service and food were good. Hospitality was a bit interesting in that we were asked to change tables so they could seat a larger group and where we were moved to could have also accommodated the larger group, so not sure why we were asked to move, except the larger group wanted a better view of the Harbor?
Waiter was very attentive. Great food!
The blue crab dip with the mini naan bread was SO GOOD! The Irish fish and chips was a generous piece of cod with a light coating, loved it. My son's corned beef and cabbage plate was uniquely presented and delicious. A wonderful view from our inside table!
Was able to get a reservation very easily when all else was booked. The setting was really nice overlooking the harbor and the food was quite tasty. Good portion sizes as well!
Very friendly welcome and very good service. Burgers and fish & chips were great. The corned beef & cabbage was inedible. Our server had the manager take it off the check, which was fair.
We eat here every time we come to Baltimore. We love it!
We called ahead to ask about accommodating our son's many life-threatening food allergies and were told that chef Jeremy would take care of us. This was exactly what happened. Chef Jeremy came out himself to take Sam's order, and when the rest of our party's food arrived at the table, the chef brought Sam's order out himself. The meal had been adjusted, plentifully, so that Sam could have a full complement of safe sides - a rare treat. Jeremy came out a third time to make sure everything was o.k. Our friends with whom we were dining were astounded by the level of care and commitment. We very rarely eat out at restaurants, except when we travel, and it is always stressful because of the allergies. We give Tir Na Nog 5 stars for GREAT, SAFE food, commitment to "dining out for all," and a beautiful table that looked out over the harbor. We are so appreciative!
Birthday and spending the day in Baltimore
Enjoyed the entire time there! Great tasting food!
We went to Tir Na Nog for St Patrick’s Day and had a wonderful time! Our table was ready when we arrived and was as we requested (a high table). We had great service, food, and drink as well as listed to a fantastic Irish band and watched their Irish dancers perform. It was perfect!
We stopped at Tir Na Nog on St. Patrick’s Day while visiting Baltimore to attend a concert. The restaurant was friendly but quite busy as could be expected on St. Paddy’s Day at an Irish themed establishment. The food was excellent with large portions, the beer was cold and tasted fresh, the service was excellent as well. The biggest downside is the cleanliness of the restaurant and the condition of the furniture. The restrooms were filthy, the tables and chairs were rickety and the restaurant was subpar with trash and food on the floor. I’m not saying I wouldn’t stop again on a less busy day but I would just have lower expectations.
The overall experience was good because it's very cozy in there & the service was spectacular the food was not great at all. My xrabxake was definitely too small for a 20$ plate & the guiness beef stew wasn't all that great either. Ill return for bar and maybe an appetizer next time.
