Tipsy Piano Bar
Our menu is comfort food centered with Pacific NW specialties made from local ingredients. A wide selection of signature cocktails, makes a night at Tipsy a night you won't soon forget!
Had the most amazing time ever! Delicious food, wonderful music, and outstanding staff. This place will be greatly missed!
Understaffed. They’re losing money because we were there for 2 hours and were able to order one drink. Food’s good. Live piano is fun. Probably won’t be back because of the service.
Sad- not sure if they are going out of business because the service is so bad it if the service was bad because they are going out of business. Sad because it’s a cute place and food is decent. But you cannot succeed with a cocktail lounge where it takes over 30 minutes to get the first drink to the table. And, never come back after delivering the food to see if you might like anything else.
Piano player was the bright spot, fun personality. Hope he land a new gig.
Chairs are hard. We ate, then moved to a couch in front, which is a bit hard too, under a softer pillow. From down there the hard walls echo the piano, rendering the singer hard to decipher and the piano a bit muddy. Food was very good, not overly spicy, portion size was reasonable, not huge; my ‘burger was fine. Drinks were great. Cheesecake desserts were excellent. The waitress was superb.
Valentines Day dinner was wonderful and exceptional service! The desserts were average unfortunately but the service, dinner cocktails and atmosphere made up for any issues with the mediocrity of desserts.
Low-key. Cool. Cajun.
Nice people. Good friendly and helpful service.
Surprisingly authentic bayou food.
The musician wasn’t that good
Josh, our server was excellent. We would go back for the fresh fish and deep fried pickles.
Always an amazing evening with Angi Swan at the piano! The energy is high when the entire place sings along. Piano Man at 9PM is always a big hit. Check it out on Tipsy's Facebook page.
While I say yes to referring people to this bar. As it has a unique and fun atmosphere, the night we were there (with a reservation) the place was packed. Service was so slow. It took 30 minutes to get a drink and an hour to order food. Then over an hour to receive the food. The food itself was mixed in review. The salad was perfect. The chicken tenders and fries were worse than kfc. Drinks fairly priced and a good variety.
So why recommend this? Not for the food. Not for the service (servers were perfect in their friendliness and attitude, just obviously overwhelmed and understaffed. I would recommend simply for the ambiance and the music. Live Piano and singing was straight out of a Billy Joel song (you know the one). 😉
So if just for drinks, it’s a hit. If for food. Be patient. Very patient. And cautious of what you order. They have a ways to go in my humble opinion on the food. But again, as I said the salad was amazing.
the sound system isn't great . no complaints outside of that.
We went for brunch and it was excellent, but relatively empty. The food was really good. I recommend the hash browns - crunchy and soft. It’s a wonderful setting. I want to go back when it’s full, the piano is playing and it’s more lively! Friendly welcoming waitress put us at ease.
Tipsy's is great for a quet evening of tinkling piano keys, but it's off the charts when Angi Swan is at the keys and the place is packed with her legion of choral friends to sing along! "Piano Man" will be sung promptly at 9pm (as it should be) and you've never hears a version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" like you're bound to hear as the night rolls along, complete with multi-part harmony and head banging!
Drop in for a few or stay a while - you won't regret it!
Great little place with nice happy hour specials and quality entertainment. We had excellent service and would recommend this unique local spot.
The Brazilian band wad awesome. Highly recommend this place for a date night.
First time here and everything was fabulous. Our waiter was so kind and helpful.
This is a wonderful little place in Olympia Washington. Great place to bring a big group of people or a romantic date. Staff is always on point, the music is absolutely fabulous! We especially like Monty Banks from New Orleans, Joanne Green and Craig Foster.
Tipsy's is a great place to get together with friends and meet new ones. Especially when you get to sing around the piano...when Angi Swan plays! The food is great, and although service can be slow sometimes, is you get there early, there is never a problems with your order or their efficiency. I am a regular customer when Angi is at the piano. Their Boozy Brunches are pretty awesome also!
Dinner was great and so was the entertainment. Anji Swan on the piano was fabulous.
Fun place with live music. Even on a Thursday night a piano player was performing/singing a variety of popular favorites. Cajun-inspired menu has a variety. Server was attentive and upbeat.
We've been coming to see that great New Orleans piano player Monty Banks. So wonderful to get a little slice of authentic New Orleans blues and jazz. The staff was amazing as always, really enjoyed meeting Jeremy the general manager, what a gem!
Looking forward to seeing the show again, and again!
Everything was good, we were there to see the entertainment and he did not disappoint. The drinks were strong, the wait people were outstanding.
What a lovely night we had on Sat. We really enjoyed Monty Banks, he brings a certain joie de vi·vre to his shows. I also thoroughly loved the selection of music. Is it okay to get a slice of New Orleans right here in Olympia. We will be back again, we're telling all of our friends!
I love this place. I brought a party of 8 for my birthday celebration and we all had a great time. It has a great atmosphere & they do a good job with service. The menu is unique, my favorite is the dirty fries.
We had a truly enjoyable experience. The bartender made some delicious cocktails, the server was very pleasant and humorous, and the musicians were approachable and entertaining.
Yes but only for drinks and snacks. The ambiance and service were good . However, the meals were poorly prepared. I had to send my shellfish back due to luke warm temperature. I ordered a French dip instead and it was just fair. The French fries were good and drinks and service were all great. Just don’t order dinner. Go for drinks and bar snacks.
Southern comfort food with a Cajun theme
Waitress was very slow and when we did come she was then pushy on her time.
The waitress we had wasn’t attentive at all. We ordered one round of drinks with her and then had to get up and get them ourselves at the bar every time. Pianist was amazing though!
It’s a nice little chill place for some drinks while listening to the piano playing and singing. Service, while not bad, was slow once business picked up. Food wasn’t worth the money. Ham hocks were very tough and greens too salty. The rice balls just fell apart making it very difficult to eat: the flavors were good.
So don’t come hungry and enjoying the atmosphere and some drinks.
I reserved a table for my husband and I, upon arrival. We were set in a small corner, with a table so small, we couldnt order a meal that would fit on it. And we so much in the corner couldn't see anything but the door. And when I addressed it to the Man at the door. I got dismissed, like it didn't matter. I am honestly very dissatisfied with my experience
Very fun place that we will return to. Great mac and cheese! Only had small bites and drinks. Enjoyed the piano player and ability to request songs. Fun for a date night or girls night out.
It was not that busy and our drinks took forever. The food came out at different times and took over an hour to receive. No one came to check in on us so we had to go up to the bar to order more drinks. The service was horrible.
The service was horrible, as in none.
Piano sounded nice.
Reservations made for Valentine Day.
Didn't get to even be seated
We were seated at 7 by the hostess, by 7:30, after having not seen more than one member of the wait staff (not approached by, just seen in passing and they weren't THAT busy), we decided to leave, and we weren't the only ones to do so. Went down the street to the Cascadia Grill and had an amazing meal. Props to the piano player at Tipsy, he was good, and have had a decent experience before, but this time was abysmal.
Worst service what I have ever experienced in my life.
