I never have anything but good to say about this restaurant. Diane was our waitress this week and she did an outsanding job. Lou delivered our food and is always just as polite as can be. He is an outstanding waiter. As a matter of fact, we have never had a waitress or waiter that hasn't been fabulous. One of the Hostess, Ashley always is the sweetest. She makes it a point to come and talk with us if she does not seat us. We eat at Tio Javis for the most part once a week. They even know our favorite drink and meal. Blake and Robert always visit with us and I can't say enough good about them or the rest of the staff. Food and drinks are always fantastic. Everyone must try Tio Javis. You will not be dissappointed. JSH

The food and drinks were amazing! From the chips and salsa to the queso and the chimi style burrito—everything was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the steak chihuahua style and it did not disappoint. The spicy margarita is literally the best margarita I’ve ever had. Ginger was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. We’ll be back for sure. I would definitely recommend this place!

Mever ever have a bad experience. Excellent staff. Always polite and very knowlegable and excellent service. Food is always great and comes out hot. Atmosphere is very pleasant. Would Highly recomend it for family, couples, friends or at night at the bar. Drinks are the best.

The quality of food has really improved over the years at Tio Javis. The dishes are the same but higher quality ingredients and preparation are apparent. My only issue is the lighting. It’s sorta in between a high end and a diner look. Anyway, a more festive look Superior Grill (which is overrated IMO) but they do have a fun look about them. Anyway, Tio Javis is extremely underrated in Baton Rouge.

I am always pleased with Tio Javi’s. The food is always consistently good, the drinks strong and the service friendly and fast. It was busy yet also the only Mexican place in town that had a table available. It was actually earlier than our reservation said. Love this place!

The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. The drink prices were a bit high but overall it was a great night. I will return!

Went to Tio Javi’s with friends. Despite the fact that Baton Rouge is known for amazing food, good Mexican is very hard to find. This isn’t San Antonio! Tio Javi’s is no exception. It was fine, but not great. The chips and salsa were good and plentiful. The portions were huge. But it was just your average mass produced Mexican fare with nothing special about it.
The service was good and the drinks were fine. Nothing to write home about but we went with no expectations.

Great place to eat with family and friends. Love the chips, salsa and green sauce. Ask for the marinaded carrots. They add a great flavor to the salad. The chicken taco salad is good. The spicy Margarita is excellent. Our server was excellent. I’ll definitely come back!

First time out in a couple of months. Enjoyed our meal very much. Had a great waitress, Madi. She was so nice. I love that this restaurant takes reservations.

We frequent this restaurant at least once a week. The staff knows us by name as wel as we know them. We have had nothing less than exeptional service. The food is always superb and the atmosphere is always great. The entire staff takes care of you. You will not leave dissatisfied in service or quality of food. The menu is broad (Maybe somewhat decreased due to Covid), but they will make sure you get what you come for. I Highly recomend this restaurant.

My son and I had a wonderful experience at your restaurant. We would like to commend our server Madi and the hostesses: Tori and Ashley. They were All outstanding, courteous, friendly, and professional. We will return to this restaurant in the future.

Best Mexican food ever! The steak was so tender and tasty. Margaritas were yummy!

We are regulars there because the staff are wonderful and the food is exceptional each and every time. We know the waiters and waitress by name as well as the managers and we are always treated very well. It is our favorite place. Drinks are far better than any other place. We love this place and all the staff.

My sister and I try to get together about every week to catch up on life. Tio Javi’s staff were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. The cocktails were fabulous. The food was absolutely delish. We both enjoyed it from beginning to end. We will definitely return in the future.

I've always loved this place, and stop in whenever we come into Baton Rouge. I don't think this place is necessarily safe to eat at during COVID, though. Our waitress was friendly and did an admirable job of trying to keep us isolated and safe, but the arrangement of the tables and the behaviors of some of the guests left something to be desired in terms of peace of mind. I'll definitely be back, though - maybe just for takeout this time!

Tio Javi’s is great! We go here often when we want Mexican food - their fajitas are great! Very clean, spaced out tables, must wear masks in common areas. We felt comfortable dining here and our waitress, Angie, is great! We’ve had her two times so far and definitely would request her!
