Among many other items, the menu at Tio Flores features tasty Burritos with Guacamole and salads as its sides. Tio Flores also prepares special margaritas.
Food and drinks were tasty. Happy Hour specials honored at the table not just the bar. Portions aren’t large so order a couple things.
The hard shell beef tacos were good but my table ordered 2 different flavors of margarita pitchers and they both tasted watered down. Overall it wasn't bad but you can get better Mexican food for a comparable price at several other nearby locations in the city.
Perfect spot for a girls night - drinks were flavorful & food was yummy!
Great food, fun place but WAY TOO LOUD!! Can’t have a conversation without SCREAMING!
Food was ok -they have vegan and gluten free choices. Our waitress was horrible. No silverware, no plates, asked for napkins 3 times until she finally brought them, asked to put our food order in and she takes 2 peoples’ order and says “you girls good?” And walks away when we were also trying to order food...empty water glasses, when I asked for water she gave me attitude and I gave her my glass to fill then she could have just put it on the table (as we were all deep in conversation) but no, she just hold the glass in the air and WAITS for me to take it. Very awkward.
Under the table was filthy so when I got my umbrella out when we were leaving there was old food stuck to it. The margherita’s were made with some sort of powder mix, not fresh at all. The blackberry margherita was super sour and weird tasting, not mixed well so your first sip tasted different than the rest of it and we could see the powder not mixed in it.
Overall poor quality place.
The food was delicious and the servers were very personable and gave great recommendations on drinks
Excellent in every way!
Delicious brunch and $2 mimosas. Very cute spot and can accommodate large party. Service was excellent and food delicious.
Food was decent but the service was extremely slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded.
We had never been here before. Now it'll likley be our go-to restaurant for great Mexican food in Center City.
Everything was great!
Great food, strong margaritas and fun atmosphere. Music is a little too loud. It was hard to hear each other speak.
I choose this place based on the reviews for other diners. We walked into the restaurant ( two or three) couples inside dining and two tables on the outside. The place was not busy, we advised to hold on while one gentleman cleaned at table and were seated fairly quickly by another. My daughter and I were super excited to see guacamole on the menu, of course we ordered it. The guac was fresh however the avocado used were most likely not fully ripe it had a watered down taste to it. The food came out and the teens ordered the same french toast, they said it was good. The food ordered by myself and my companion was at best just okay. Service was decent, but would not dine at this spot again.
Service was excellent, atmosphere was great, food was bland.
Great food. Fun atmosphere. Maragita pitchers were pretty watered down sadly.
Great food, great service, and tons of vegetarian options which is what drew me here in the first place! There is something on the menu for everyone.
Great time celebrating my wife's birthday over brunch with our friends. The food was delicious the brunch cocktails, too.
Best food and great service!
The pork tacos were amazing!
Nice place. Food was good. Server was adorable!
Would definitely go back.
Always a great spot to get our Mexican fix! Love the Tio's Burrito and mango pineapple margarita.
It was very nice! We were there for my birthday dinner and it was a great time. I’ll be coming back
The food was great but the service was incredibly slow. We waited 20 minutes to get 2 beers.
The food and service were very good and I highly recommend a visit; however, the drinks, not so much! Couldn’t finish them...we decided to get beer instead cause you can’t screw that up.
Great experience. Food was amazing. Drinks were great as well!
Food was average. My margarita was tasteless. Waitress was attentive and friendly.
My boyfriend and I made a reservation here for dinner the other week. When we arrived we jokingly said, "oh god, I hope we aren't seated at that "table". " That table was a ledge coming out from the back wall, basically in the kitchen, with two old not sturdy stools. Unfortunately that was in fact our table. We decided to suck it up and did ask the host when the next table becomes available we would like to move. It seemed silly that this spot on the wall required a reservation. After 10 minutes of no attention or no server greeting us, we found a reservation open at Tequilas and left. This was the worst service and lack of attention I have ever received and will not return here.
Sorry you remembered your visit so poorly. Yes, you had a reservation, but upon arrival you informed the host that you did not want to sit next to anyone else. Reservations guarantee you a seat which may not necessarily always be in a booth, especially on a busy Saturday night. Both bar and communal table seats were offered as options which you declined. Additionally, the staff did in fact greet you promptly and more than once. You were brought waters and checked on by both servers that night.
The service and food at Tio Flores is incredible!
The waitress acted like she was doing us a favor.
Hostess was rude. Sat us between two couples at a table when there was an empty booth that no one sat at the whole time we were there. My date found a huge bone in her chicken and my enchilada sauce was basically just tomato sauce. Would not recommend for anything other than Happy Hour.
I love Tio! I think they have the best tacos and flavored margaritas. My boyfriend and I go here often, it is one of our favorites!
This is a Tex mex restaurant. Service was good as well as the Margaritas. If you’re looking for value this is the place for you. If you’re looking for haute mexican cuisine, think again. We asked for steak. It was chewy and hard to eat. Also, we requested it medium and it was presented rare. Guacamole was acceptable but no fantastic. Ok, we had a good time. When we asked for a dessert menu, the answer was “the only dessert we have is dessert nachos, cooked with nacho chips with sugar and cinnamon”. Really? Is that all you have as a restaurant? This place claims to be in the Rittenhouse Square area so they must live up fo that expectation in order to get repeat customers. The highlight of our visit was our waitress, she was pleasant and fast. The food has room for improvement.
Server did not know answers to dietary questions. Food was average. Sides did not come out until we were finished with tacos. Very loud music... hard to have a conversation.
