Tiny Lou's - Hotel Clermont
Fantastic food! Fantastic service (ask for William)!
I have been twice and both time the level of service has been 5 Star. Our server was well versed in the food, describing and answering our questions as if she were the Chef. She recommended wine pairings that proved to be spot on. The passion and knowledge she possessed about food an wine was contagious. The thing is I could have written the same review about the server I had previously. I will be back soon and have the highest confidence my experience will be the same - absolutely perfect. I hesitate to write this because I want to keep this as my neighborhood secret.
Our anniversary dinner was spectacular. The staff was friendly, attentive, but not snotty or invisible as in many fine dining experiences.
To start we got the bread service, duck consomme, and scallops. The presentation was beautiful but not trying too hard. So, the food was beautiful but not like they spent 30 minutes arranging your food to be as tall as possible. it was just thoughtfully prepared. The duck consomme was one of the best things i have eaten in a long time. i want it again. Now.
For entrees, we had the rabbit and a fish dish. The rabbit was so tender and i had never had rabbit before! The beans and carrots and sauce were divine! But the Loup de Mer fish....holleeeee moleeee. The skin was crisp like a delicious potato chip. The sauce had this harissa sauce that had a faint heat and reminded me of massaman. if I was on death row i would ask for the duck consomme and loup de mer for my last meal.
Now my husband is a chef, and I am not the foodee in the family. But this meal is life and love. He could describe it in more technical terms but all you really need to know is that they were spot on with everything! But lets move on to dessert...
I got a chocolate mousse and he got the Ode to blondie. I am a chocolate girl and the flavors combined with the mousse: cardamom and coffee, were spectacular. The cardamom was so light and wonderful (I skipped the coffee bits, but the husband loved them). The Blondie had a hazelnut and banana compliment and well, both desserts went fast.
Go to Tiny Lou's and you will be taken care of.
Super interiors, great service, sublime food, AMAZING desserts ,valet parking, Good wine list
Excellent food and amazing service.
Super personal touch from the staff as well: they all signed a birthday card for my wife.
Tiny Lou’s is a great spot in the recently renovated Hotel Clermont. Perfect for brunch or dinner. French inspired menu but there is truly something for everyone. Great food and service in a cool historic space.
The food is impeccable, the service is top notch. I'd highly recommend Tiny Lou's to anyone looking for an upscale meal in a relaxed and fun environment.
Food is outstanding! We had a party of seven and every dish was incredible. (Yes, we passed around our plates!) The staff at Tiny Lou's is remarkable. Great attention to detail - friendly and professional all at once. We had a great evening. Highly recommend this restaurant!
The menu and server descriptions made everything sound so amazing. However the dishes were all underwhelming. We loved the hamachi and that was it. Very expensive and so much hype for a big disappointment. We did love our server Forrest, he was incredible. Just wish the food matched the rest of the space and service.
Food was amazing and the staff was exceptionally sweet for my wife's birthday!
Fantastic service with unbelievable food! One of the best restaurants in Atlanta for sure!
Great waitress, food is done really well.
Fantastic food. The chicken dish was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had in the US or France. Only sad that the dessert I really wanted was sold out, but it’s a good excuse to go again :)
Definitely a hidden gem.in Atlanta, go early enough to grab a drink upstairs on the roof top
Excellent food. Excellent service - our server was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Cool Vibe. We can’t wait to go back!
Had a very lovely experience. The staff was exceptionally gracious n knowledgeable. We never felt rushed or made to feel not young or hip enough . We will be back ! We especially appreciated that our request for a quieter table was respected . We dine out frequently and truly were dazzled .
We had a great experience at Tiny Lou’s for my birthday. We were seated almost immediately. It was a Saturday and the restaurant was busy but service was attentive. I had a Big Trouble at Little Cynar, like a big Old Fashioned but better. Wowzer! Then we had the torchon of foie gras. Fantastic. I had the loup de mer and my husband had trout. I can be picky about fish. This was so delish. The skin was super crispy but the fish wasn’t over cooked. The lemon crepe cake for dessert is tall, tart and tasty.
We had another magical evening at TL’s! William, who has served me & my guest on 4 occasions always make the experience delightful! Thank you all at Tiny Lou’s for adding such joy to the evening 💕
Fab French Food! Downtown cool vibe. All ages, families (older kids)
Love design, service exceptional.
Desserts the highlight, superb presentation and flavors
Fabulous!! Food exceeded our expectation! Williams wit made our experience even better! And love the ambiance - the decor made me nostalgic for the food old days! We shall return!
Aesthetics and dishes are well done, but service was subpar. I haven't had a waitress so unknowledgeable about the wines (even those by the glass) or components/ingredients of dishes. She was also very insensitive to vegetarian needs, which today shouldn't be treated as high maintenance, unreasonable or foreign. There was also a waiter in the restaurant whose voice was so immensely loud that it actually a perpetual disturbance.
Excellent food and service all around! It was my mother-in-Law’s birthday and they made her feel really special with a personal touch of a card and desert.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!!!!!!!
David was outstandibg. Always good service.
I would love to go back for dinner (as I hear it is better) — brunch was just okay food-wise although the drinks, service, and ambiance were great.
We loved it!
Food was great!
Saturday can be a little crazy!
Luxury high-quality renovations with unique quirks and attention to detail. The service is excellent, and the cocktails and desserts are amazing. It is nice to see vegetables are part of the fares rather than always separate. The mussels could have been a bit stronger in flavor and have heat to the spice.
Our waiter, William was the epitome of service and I really appreciate that he remembers details from previous visits!
Yes I wold recommend it for the ambiance but not necessarily for the food.
It was annoying that even with a reservation, we weren't seated for 30 minutes after arrival. The rooftop made it okay but still slightly annoying. Food was amazing, as always. Get bread service, it’s delicious.
My wife and I went for her birthday. The entire staff signed a card. Absolute class. Wonderful food and vibe.
A great addition to French dining options in Atlanta. Interesting wines at reasonable prices. We will be back.
My friend and I were the first to be seated so it was quiet. The noise built as the restaurant filled up on a Monday night, but it never became so loud we could not hear each other. Our waiter, Dave, could have been a sommelier, he was so knowledgeable about the wine list, and helpful with the menu also. We started with the octopus and the cheese filled crepe, the better of the two starters. The octopus was on the tough side. We both tried the loup de mere (a branzino I believe) and it was delicious. Dessert was over the top, a 32 layer piece of cake (?) created by their award winning pastry chef. We had heard that Tiny Lou’s is expensive but we didn’t find it any more expensive than other better restaurants in town. Without the bottle of wine, we each spent about $60 w tip. An altogether wonderful experience.
We very much like this restaurant and have eaten here several times (5-6 times at least). Ambience is good (tables arranged nicely, low noise level, generally excellent service, except the last time when a waiter spent most of his time entertaining himself and the guests at a table three tables from us). The food is very good (the octopus appetizer is particularly excellent), but the menu is too limited and does not change: we have by now eaten the two or three things we like two or more times: this will have an effect on how often we (and perhaps others) feel like returning.
what makes tiny lou's such a breath of fresh air in pompous, clunky, know-nothing atlanta is its light touch -- the staff are at ease, calm, friendly, poised, not in your face; william is amazing as well, a confident, knowledgeable presence who will spend time with you at table but whose eyes are keeping track of the whole room; the food is clean, clear, not gooped up or "wet": especially good hors d'oeuvres, superb chicken, well-plated and balanced fish. my only quibble: a french place needs a classic steak frites: onglet, rib-eye, any cut with the right amount of fat to give the meat a taste. sous-vide filet mignon does not a steak frites make! regardless: i went the first time six weeks ago and ive been back almost every week since.
Such a great experience. Our service was outstanding!
Fantastic brunch! Will be back for dinner!
I brought family from our of town to Tiny Lou's for a late night dinner. It was FANTASTIC! I ordered the Steak Frites and my steak was cooked exactly how I ordered it. The bread service was delicious. The rest of the food was cooked to perfection and we had a delightful waitress. Highly recommend Tiny Lou's!
