    Absolutely amazing, astonishingly delicious dishes. This is my second time there (first visit December 2019 at the original location near the harbor). We did the tasting menu (without wine). My wife is vegetarian but I am not. We both loved every bite. It is a journey of tastes that your taste buds will thank you for. Service was top notch. The atmosphere was delightful.

    I really was looking forward to Tintoque, but there wasn't one course that we were happy with entirely. Each course had promises of brilliance but in execution or lack of supervision ultimately disappointed. Drinks were $15US, and the quality did not warrant the price. My negroni had some charred something in a strip in it, on my last sip, I got a piece of plastic wrap the same size as the strip. The wine list was well curated, with a variety of classic and local offerings. The catch of the day was cooked to perfection but was paired with greens dressed only in oil. My companion enjoyed his salad. The enchilada's pork cheek was succulent and unctuous and crispy in all the right places, the tortilla on top was stale-crispy, not toasted crispy, and the pipian sauce was insipid. Halfway through an unpopped popcorn kernel was a bit of a shock. The "cheesecake that isn't" was not a mousse either, the little cakes in the box were nearly flavorless and the pannacotta-reminiscent bowl had a blue cheese tang that was challenging to enjoy. I need to say that the plating was always gorgeous and innovative, if only the flavors had been as well developed. We eat at Michelin star restaurants on occasion and enjoy fine dining, but this is sadly neither. In the end we wished we had saved the money for taco stands.

    Amazing , creative , fine cuisine . Had the Chefs Tasting Menu and it was one of the best dining experiences of our lives . We were surprised with the imagination and delighted by the flavors . Highly recommend .

    My husband and I ordered the "succulent" lamb for two. We were served a plate of 99% bones, and sent it back. The manager asked if we wanted another order, and we declined. The manager offered free drinks for us, which was a nice gesture, but shame on the chef and the waiter for sending this dish out, especially with Tintoque's high caliber reputation, and prices.

    They said they gave us fried octopus but it was flaking like fish. The steak was dry and chewy with tough pieces of fat. The wait staff was amazing and attentive. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There is much better food in Puerto Vallarta.

    Lovely atmosphere and great staff! Had the tasting menu and paired wine, couple of dishes were great (desserts in particular) but really disproportionately expensive compared to other very good restaurants in the area.

    Creative , beautiful and artistic dish that will leave you curious and wanting more. Atmosphere is serene. They have paid great attention to details. My one issue I had would be the serving dish and utensils were not always conducive to the dish your were presented.

    It’s my 2nd time here & was as amazing as the last time. Excellent service, wonderful new posible future options given by the chef. The best chicken I have ever had but cannot remember the name. Catch of the day was also cooked to perfection. Price is not bad for everything you get.

    The restaurant was beautiful and the staff were very good. The food was just ok and was very expensive for what you actually experienced. It was not worth it. I would not recommend that restaurant.

    Puzzling experience. Reviews were outstanding. We did the tasting menu and the only dish that worked was the dessert. Way too many sauces and ingredients that competed rather than blending with each other. Off night? I couldn’t finish several of the tiny servings and the pork was so fatty I couldn’t eat it. I just don’t understand this. I live in Berkeley, California. I know good food. Perhaps the regular menu is better, and less pretentious?

    We didn’t take the tasting menu, but ordered appetizers and entrees instead, appetizers were good, but too much food on each plate, entrees not very good, and again way too much food, the smoked short ribs, close to one lb. of meat, not tender, not flavorful. There is other restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, who would deserve one Michelin Star over this one.

    This has to be one of THE most amazing meals of my life. We are telling everyone we know about Tintoque. Tasting menu was AMAZING. The team was superb. We will absolutely be back! Kudos to Chef for cultivating an amazing experience!

    The tasting menu was excellent on all levels: food quality, taste, presentation and service. The restaurant proposes a classy and detailed journey through Mexican food, with some influences from Japan, Italy and France.

    I must say I was a bit disappointed. I came here with my boyfriend and we tried the tasting menu. for background. I have eaten all over the world enjoying tasting menus, from Hong Kong to Toronto to South Carolina. So I have a pretty good idea as to what is expected. Upon arrival we initially sat outside, however it is too buggy to enjoy any meal in peace and we moved inside. the waitstaff handled the change incredibly well and even gave us the choice of which table in the dining room we would like to eat at. however, we noticed that it took us 35 minutes for us to receive the bottle of wine. (Duckhorn- Red wine, normally about $65USD, we were charge $200USD) the up sale alone was enough not to return. for trying the chefs tasting menu we both were disappointed. it just wasn't authentic Mexican tasting, i was being served Japanese inspired dishes ( they were great but im in Mexico, I want something different) and then Italian dishes ( the risotto, was very delicious however far TOO heavy to be served on any tasting menu) then especially being served a fried quesadilla( this was me least fave dish, it was incredibly heavy, I felt full and sick after consuming and still had 3-4 more courses to get to. on the positive, the chef included a bake tomato on his tasing menu and that was superb. there are no words to say how incredible this dish was and it being just a tomato was so unique, sophisticated, just beyond delicious.m I came in thinking this was going to be a Michelin star dinner and left frustrated. this restaurant served very very good dished but do. not expect Michelin star service, or a Michelin star menu because that is a few years away

    Hands down the best restaurant that I’ve experienced in Vallarta. This is not hype or gimmicks. It’s a beautifully curated menu for food and beverage. I will return every time I’m in town. The menu and staff deserve all the accolades.
