We love visiting Philly regularly and checked out Tinto for dinner this time around. The tapas and paella were OUTSTANDING!
Fantastic food and cocktails. A lovely spot to have date night or celebrate.
My boyfriend and I were in the mood for some Spanish food and came across Tinto. We ordered several tapas and the seafood paella and it was all incredible. We even ended up ordering the octopus tapa again! The beer, cocktails, and sangria perfectly complimented the food and we ended the night with ganache filled donuts in a blood orange sauce. Definitely recommend this place for a date night! And it’s in a great location we were able to hop around at a few different bars afterwards too.
Our server was a bit dismissive because we didn’t know about their ordering style and then let us know that our table was reserved for another seating so we should order soon. The food was good, not great. Limited bar options. Great wine selection. There MANY other places I would recommend in Phila.
The food is still amazing, but I’m disappointed to see what I thought was a beautiful, romantic setting for a meal has turned quite sloppy. The space felt uncared for and cold and by no means what I remembered to be a really special dining experience.
Tinto had been one of our favorite restaurants in the city and we had been there many times before the pandemic. Unfortunately, the restaurant has a new concept that concentrates on it’s bar and little thought as to it’s menu. There was only a few of the old dishes that were poorly prepared. I would not go back to this restaurant. I was there on a Saturday night and it was almost empty. I doubt it will last too much longer. I did go to one of Graces’ other places last night, Amanda, and if you want to see the chef at his best, then this is the place. The food and service was great as I remembered it.
Outstanding food and service.
Cheese plate was great but tuna and salmon toast were disappointing
It was a cute, quiet and cozy spot for a date! However, I was not very impressed with the food. Some things where very good and some things were just ok. Nothing was cooked unevenly or anything but the flavor could have been better. I will say that the price was super reasonable for the amount of food that you get! Also, my gin and tonic was HUGE! Normally places charge you $14 for one little glass of alcohol but you certainly got your money's worth. I think if ther improved their flavors, I would go back!
Solid. I’ve had better tapas, but great service helped shore up the overall experience.
Wonderful food, wine and service. Really glad to be back! We'll return sooner than later!
We really enjoyed Tinto. The service and ambience were perfect. The food is good and the paella is exceptional. The offerings are not particularly broad...and I understand this may be pandemic influence. Be ready for well-prepared, standard Spanish dishes. If we were not driving back to Annapolis, we definitely would have tested some of the great looking bottles of wine. That was a missed opportunity.
We did the tasting menu with a wine pairing and both were fantastic! I highly recommend them.
Felt like I was back in Spain. Well prepared tapas. I just wish I would have been offered the Degustation menu. Nice wines. Thanks.
Garces is masterful in combining tastes, textures and presentation. Ortzi was a NY favorite. Tinto in Philly is also outstanding.
This is not the pre-Covid Tinto, so don’t expect it to be the same layout. The menu is also much reduced. However, the quality of the food and service are amazing. Different experience, but will be back.
Not very welcoming. Offputting menu and the servers don’t make you feel comfortable.
Great tapas and wines. Excellent service. Nice ambience z
Nice food and service!
The food is good but the options are very limited if you don't eat seafood. The wine was excellant. Overall a good value
Limited menu, lackluster compared to the pre-covid Tinto.
Small place, amazing wine list, limited menu, very loud inside, modest portion sizes, excellent food, good value!
It was a great experience. Thanks to john and all of the staff. The food and service was 👍
Great service Great food. Do not miss the octopus or duck. Both dishes were perfect. Taste and presentation
Appetisers and wine choices are fantastic.
Perfect w kids or with out I would have eaten indoors.
We were so thrilled about having the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic dinner at Tinto. From having them accommodate our reservation to a larger party, to the level of care shown through the delicious tasting of tapas and the outstanding service! If you have not tried Tinto yet, take it for a spin, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you for such a lovely time!
The food is amazingly good. Service was great, the staff knew the menu really well. The decoration can be better but is not bad
Efficient service is always appreciated, but I think it was TOO efficient here, taking away from the experience a bit. The dining model is small plates, so suggest you inform your server you’d like to take your time and eat more gradually if that’s something you’re seeking from your evening out. Otherwise, prepare to be done in 30 minutes.
First time visiting Tinto since the pandemic. The menu has changed, it is much smaller now, but the quality is just as high. I went with a friend and we shared 5 small plates. The cheese plate was a great way to start our meal, the accompaniments were absolutely perfect. The lamb skewer in a sweet onion cream sauce was delicious, I could drink that sauce out of a cup. But the highlight of our meal was without a doubt the duck confit brochette. The Sourdough toast was perfectly seasoned and toasted and the duck melted in my mouth like butter.
Wonderful spot for tapas before a performance at the Mann Center. Excellent wine and cocktail choices and a small, wonderfully focused menu. Each small plate we ordered was better than the one that had come before.
Delicious food! Shared the seafood paella and highly recommend.
Tinto is a fabulous establishment! From the outstanding quality of the food to the exceptional service by my server, Amy, a visit to Tinto is a must!
Reasonably priced and food is pretty tasty, with some exceptional things (duck and octopus in the small bites), and more regular ones (ham croquettes). The sangria Blanca was not special for my taste, but the wine they chose for us to pair with the paella was good. Service is very attentive, although not always with a smile.
Have been a big fan for years. They have severly cut back menu and restaurant but still had a great time.
No coffee served on weekends/sold out of all desserts/they used to give you choices on the tasting menu and now it is fixed
We ate outside, so the noise was that of the street. We chose the tasting menu (with wine pairings) and were quite happy with all three courses. Pre-pandemic, we used to hang out in the bar (for happy hour), so we were thrilled that the food and the service was as we remember it. The cheese and meat pairings (as an appetizer) were one of our bar menu staples. The paella was outstanding.
I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly.
Delicious Tapas and a nice change from the norm. Drink were mixed well and refreshing on a hot day!
