Tasting menu is a must! Each dish was more creative and tasteful then the next. Just suggest that they slow down service a little.
The tasting menu with wine pairing is the way to go. We had an outstanding dinner. Don't be afraid to sit downstairs. We have been there before and eaten upstairs. This time we sat downstairs. Quieter and not as lively but it was the perfect location to focus on our dinner companions and the food. We had an excellent evening.
We love Tinto. Our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Small plates. Tasting menus. Wine flights. Outstanding food. Great service. This trip we decided to make our own choices, with a little advice from our server, and it was great. Standout items include the duck confit with cherry, the foie gras torchon, and the wild boar bolognese. Lively fun atmosphere.
Restaurant was nice and service was very good. Food was good but not as good as we had anticipated.
This was one of the best meals that I’ve ever had. I’m so glad that we chose the chef’s menu so we could try a little of everything. Great tapas, wonderful atmosphere and our waiter Vlad provided great service too.
Always love coming here! Great food and service! They will always cater to your needs, and can customize your meals based on your needs/allergies, etc.
Qe had a wonderful experience at Tinto. We sat at the bar and we were able to have a noce conversation because music is not loud and nice. The somelier invited us to tey sone of their wines and the personnel were very friendly. Also we were able to do our reservation last minute and it was very nice thatvtjey were able to accomodate us on a Saturday evening.
Food is fantastic and well presented. Also they have a wonderful list of wines.
I really recommend this restaurant!!
A really nice place. Great servers, an interesting menu and very good food. We will be back for sure.
Got there early bartender (female. Jess?) So welcoming and friendly and more than willing to help me decide on my non California wine.
We where seated at a high top as requested with a great view of the chef’s creating all the phenomenal dishes. Chestnut soup incredible! Can’t wait to go try try the fantastic looking scallops. I guess we have another favorite restaurant in PHL!!!
This was our second time coming to Tinto and I would just like to say that this experience was better than the first. Don't get me wrong, the first time we went was amazing as well but they out did themselves this time around. We decided to choose our tapas this time instead of doing the chef's tasting. Our server, Mike, gave some good recommendations that we went with but most likely chose what we had when we try the chef's tasting. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert afterwards but it was definitely worth it.
The food was fantastic! Certainly a place where you can taste a variety of foods that work well with each other. The restaurant also fills up very quickly, so make a reservation to secure a seat!
Phenomenal food. Best Spanish food I have had in years. Service was excellent as well.
An excellent culinary experience, with excellent food, service, wine and atmosphere.
Tinto is really really good - not much else to say.
First off, the food was excellent. We had a party of 5, including my parents who are 70+ years old. The seating was so uncomfortable. We sunk down on our seats. We asked to move. The new table was better, but close to the front door so my mom had to wear her coat. I used my coat as a cushion for my back.. The dishes where mainly for 2 people. So we had to cut everything into 3 sections. I wish our waiter would have told us to order more than one of each item, since we asked him to make sure there where five dates wrapped in something. You think he would have thought to make sure there where 5 on each plate. The sangria was watered down. We asked for a second pitcher without ice, and it was better. It’s nice a nice restaurant to take a date, but not for parties of 2+ people.
I felt the $340 bill for 4 was not worth what we received.
Everything was excellent, though we had to wait almost 45 minutes despite having a reservation.
can hardly go wrong here. Food is almost universally great, if the service ever matches the food (and it's close outside of a couple small issues) tables will be very hard to come by. A little pricey for what you get (especially with wine tasting), but it tastes so good I almost don't mind.
Food is superb, music isn't too loud, service is by far the best and this year it was a great surprise to know that they are able to change meals for pre-fix menus (my wife don't eat fish or sea food so they change it into a veggie/pasta option). I will strongly recommend to go for special occasions since their prices are expensive.
I brought my partner here for an early Valentine's Day date. We took the Valentine's special menu (which is pretty much the same as the Chef's Tasting menu), and enjoyed every single bite of it! The service was impeccable, the food outstanding, and the drinks were strong and delicious. The ambiance was also very nice with the dimmed lights and the wall of wine bottles. Never a bad experience at Tinto!
Fourth time visiting- really have enjoyed past experiences. Was quite crowded upon arrival for our 8:45 reservation. Had to wait in bar until our table was ready. Too many guests to even get attention of bartenders for a beverage while waiting. Food was wonderful. Had exceptional scallops and pork belly. The touch of Meyer lemon in the Brussels sprouts was just lovely. The tourchon de foie gras was a thing of beauty. Unexpected flavors that just sang together. The only real issues was with the service. David our lead waiter seemed to pay much more attention to the couples on each side of us and treated us like an afterthought. We ordered a second glass of wine and he brought the incorrect one. He did give this to us on the house and brought the correct selection. Then after we ordered 2 more items and received the first one the table was cleared of service ware. David then presents us with dessert menus. Asking if our lamb was still being prepared he stumbled and blamed the mistake on the new back server/bus boy. Not very tactful. Once we finished he was quite rude to this associate when he was directed to clear the table again.
His unprofessionalism was not typical of our experiences at the Garces restaurants we have visited in the past. We will continue to patronize and hopefully this was just a one off of mediocre service.
Food was delicious and fun. Great presentation.
The food and drinks are exceptional. It's a warm and intimate space for a party of two or even a larger group. Our waiter Anthony was charming, funny, and very knowledgeable about the menu and the choices we had made for the evening. It was an outstanding meal full of flavor and unique combinations.
Great place to enjoy fantastic Tapas, I didn’t feel the chefs tasting held an equal value to cost ratio, we would have done much better by ordering individual menu items. I’d certainly dine there again.
Excellent and varied selection for the tasting menu. The courses have an organic progression: charcuterie, cheese, olives, then appropriately sized portions of various proteins and accompaniments culminating in a light dessert. At no point was a regretting ordering the tasting menu. Great sauces. Great wine selections.
Started with awesome drinks at the bar and moved to a great table near the open kitchen. Everything was delicious and we were allowed to take our time. Best octopus
Best restaurant in Philadelphia!
Delicious meal, amazing tastes one right after the other! So many choices, we will definitely be back!
Fun for a special occasion. Food was very good but didn’t have great options for a picky eater in our party. Very small tapas portions. Service was excellent with on point recs.
Been to Tintos many times....enjoy it each time and never disappointed with food or service. Tight on space but convenient location.
It was amazing
The Restaurant Week menu was good but the service was rushed. The menu was decent, although not quite as varied as in previous years. Chorizo appeared in at least four dishes, along with Serrano ham. The Arugala salad was tasty, but lacked much evidence of cheese or figs. The food was tasty, but my major objection was the fact that we were rushed. Although I informed them that it was my sister's birthday, they were anxious to move on to the next customer. Since we did not share our plates, it was not necessary to deliver both selections of appetizers and entrees at the same time (there were two dishes for each course). We requested them to slow down, but the waiter said that each course had to be served at the same time, despite the fact that some were hot and had to be eaten immediately.
I don't know whether this decision was made by the waiter or by management, but it was not a relaxing celebration. In their desire to make way for the next customers, they even employed the Maitre'd to collect our checks. Won't return for a special occasion on a busy night.
We arrived for our reservation at 7:15 and were seated immediately. We received our check at 8:05. Somewhere in that 50 minutes I heard a sonic boom as the speed of service exceeded the sound barrier. While it was impressive to see the food runners carefully play Tetris with the many plates of food that kept coming to our two- top table before we had a chance to eat even the first course, I must say that I felt a bit rushed. I think we enjoyed the food, but it all happened so fast that it’s hard to remember. I think I spent more time finding a parking spot than I did enjoying the meal with my wife. I probably won’t be back.
My girlfriend had been here with her children, and wanted to go for Center City Restaurant Week. Food and service were excellent, though quantity (it was Tapas) was lacking, thus even with pre-fixe meals was a bit pricey.
Food was delicious! We went for restaurant week so I felt the amount of food we got for the price was excellent! Drinks were delicious! I would definitely recommend and go back again!
We found this place for a late night drink after the movies. I decided to return for Restaurant Week. The Tapas menu is excellent...and so is the food. The portions are perfect, and the sangria is very good. I will return for sure!
We ate at Tinto's during restaurant week . It was crazy busy, they were super nice , the food was DELICIOUS , our waiter , was great also. No complaints , Loved It a lot!! We'll be back !!
We went during restaurant week. I was very surprised that the service was very good (thanks to our server, Mike) because restaurant week is always busy.
Some dishes were very good, some were just ok. Wine pairing was very good. And, again, the service was excellent!
Our group of four had been to The Mutter Museum earlier in the day. We wanted a restaurant close by and participating in "Restaurant Week." Tinto fit the bill. We did not know what to expect but had a great time sampling all the small plates in the 2 courses plus dessert. Everything was so delicious! Our waiter was helpful in helping us choose our dishes and explained what we were eating. It was such a fun social experience!
