Tinto is a great staple go to for those nights you want small plates, with a predictable outcome. It is always consistent with its menu and reasonably priced for what you get. Have been coming here for years, never had a bad meal.
Absolutely love this place. Every time the food blows me away!
Start to finish great experience dining at Tinto. We were running late and called in - the host adjusted our reservation right then. Waiter new we were rushed and had us in and out w/o feeling like we were being hurried which is not an easy feet. He also suggested a lovely wine. We will look forward to returning and taking more time to enjoy.
3rd time visiting, was just as good as the last two. Keeps us coming backing. Great vibe and even better food.
I really loved the restaurant, the wine list and the menu are very good. The scallops, the truffle mushrooms and the wine butter they offer with the breads were my favorite items! The only bad thing is that the restaurant closes at 11pm, when we were still having our second bottle.
Had a great meal. Enjoyed each course and the leftovers!
Second visit here and again really enjoyed the evening.
My favorite restaurant in the city, food is out of this world good!
We really enjoyed this restaurant. We were on vacation from the SF Bay Area, where excellent restaurants are common. The wine advice was especially good and our wines paired well with the food. Menu adjustments were well done for my gluten allergy. I liked the waiter's straight-forward manner and his knowledge of the Spanish wines available. I will go back when I am in Philly again.
This is my second visit to Tinto. My husband and I both love the sliders and the Brussel sprout salad, which is saying something because he won't touch that vegetable anywhere else. The food is really outstanding, however I do feel like it's slightly overpriced. That said, I will definitely visit again because, while good food isn't that hard to find in Philadelphia, outstanding food IS.
76th birthday celebration dinner was a huge success! The three guests who struggle to hear conversations at most restaurants we able to participate due to the pleasant noise level. It wasn’t a busy night (Labor Day) so it may not always be so quiet. Our server was great and the food came quickly. Every dish was enjoyed! Our favorite were the Roasted Pork Chop, the Mushrooms, and the Pork-belly toasts.
I have been to Tinto many times and each time the food gets better and more intriguing. Dishes that we normal folks would never think go together are fantastic and so tasty that you mourn when the dish is done. The menu is created so that you can select smaller dishes and finish with larger ones and the great staff are always there to recommend the right number of plates. The service is highly professional and very focused on customers. I love this place!
Great food, waiter and wine!
A slice of Northern Spain and the flavor of the Basque region in Phily. Wonderful food, amazing wines and a most attentive and knowledgeable staff made this a perfect experience for those seeking to experiment in northern Spanish cuisine..
We really enjoyed the food. It was the best restaurant food we had had in a long time.
I loved the delicious plates and the ambiance of the restaurant. It is situated in the heart of center city and is a must try!
August in the city. It was not crowded. Service was good, the food was good - not great. It’s worth a visit.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Tinto. It was excellent, from beginning to end. We chose the tasting menu, with the wine pairing. I felt like it was actually a pretty good value, despite the cost. We had lots of really delicious small plates, paired with different, interesting, and delicious wines. Highly recommend Tinto!
Excellent food. Don’t skip desert
My husbands birthday. Our second time here and we’re always happy!
Don’t get the rave reviews - an abomination. Many dishes are served on top of bread. They should rename the restaurant: Bread. Mussels on bread, duck on bread, fava beans (which could not be found in all the other mess) with bread. I would rather just have tiny portions than fill the plate with bad bread. Meatballs inedible, salty little hockey pucks bathing in rancid oil, pork chop also a salt lick of sodium pumped cured pork. Yuck. Brussels sprouts salad a greasy mess. It just kept getting worse. Just awful. Wines by the glass horrid.
Amazing from beginning to end! We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and every dish was surprising and delicious. The wines complemented the food nicely. The service was outstanding and we couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Simply outstanding!
Did not live up to expectations. Wanted more from an “Iron Chef”.
Our experience was under our expectation and the reviews. Quality/ pricewise it could have been better. Food was so salty and came cold.
Want something different -- and good? And genuine? This is it.
Food was overpriced and overly salted. Too many other good places.
It’s wonderful to sample small portions of so many exquisitely prepared and balanced foods. That’s the beauty of tapas when it’s done well.
Vacation with my daughter.
We went to dinner at Tinto for our wedding anniversary, an annual event since it is my wife’s favorite restaurant, and generally dine their two or three times a year and while the food was still very good something seemed to missing under the new ownership.
The best food ever! The service was great and everything is delicious. Dishes from octopus to ribs to stake and wild mashrooms.
We did the chefs tasting with the wine pairing. If you don’t mind spending the extra money it’s well worth it and I think makes for a better dining experience.
Wonderful service and exceptional food!
I would have given Tinto more like 3.5 stars if possible. This was our first time at the restaurant and we enjoyed it. We started with ham and cheese trays, and then had a selection of tapas. Everything was good, and the duck confit toast was phenomenal. Best bite of the night for sure. The coffee and dessert were exceptional as well. Our server was good, and the hostess was very helpful.
Always stellar. Thank you for the great service, Meghan!
Great staff. Amazing food.
The menu has changed and offers far fewer choices than before. Still good but a bit disappointing. The octopus was very chewy. Mushrooms and duck cannelloni were quite good. Friendly and efficient service.
One of the best meals I've had since moving to Philadelphia a year ago. The duck confit crostini was incredible!
Tinto was a described: a selection of tapas. Wine selection was interesting.
We tried the chef’s tasting menu and absolutely loved each course!
Loved the place! Great sangria and awesome happy hour!
