I would have given Tinto more like 3.5 stars if possible. This was our first time at the restaurant and we enjoyed it. We started with ham and cheese trays, and then had a selection of tapas. Everything was good, and the duck confit toast was phenomenal. Best bite of the night for sure. The coffee and dessert were exceptional as well. Our server was good, and the hostess was very helpful.
Always stellar. Thank you for the great service, Meghan!
Great staff. Amazing food.
The menu has changed and offers far fewer choices than before. Still good but a bit disappointing. The octopus was very chewy. Mushrooms and duck cannelloni were quite good. Friendly and efficient service.
One of the best meals I've had since moving to Philadelphia a year ago. The duck confit crostini was incredible!
Tinto was a described: a selection of tapas. Wine selection was interesting.
We tried the chef’s tasting menu and absolutely loved each course!
Loved the place! Great sangria and awesome happy hour!
2nd visit to this wonderful spot. If you’re in the neighborhood it’s definitely worth a visit.
One of the very best places for tapas in Philadelphia.
Absolutely amazing!! Food, wine and service top notch! We had a party of 12 that they had no problem accommodating. Our server, Mary Carmen, was the best! She helped us pick some wonderful wines from all around Spain (red and whites) and recommended the chef tasting for such a large party and we were so happy she did! Many of us tasted food we were not going to order and loved trying new things. Some of our unexpected favorites were the marinated fava beans, brussel sprout salad, and duck confit toasts. The serrano wrapped trout, short rib sandwich and beef tenderloin (with foie gras!) were excellent but wait--there's more! We had olives, almonds, bread, meats and cheeses, meatballs, calamari (I am sure I am forgetting something...) and were so full and happy when we left. Such a great atmosphere and service, we will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful evening, Mary Carmen, Tinto chefs and staff!!!
Great server and delicious dinner at Tinto. We were surprised to get a reservation same day but it wasn’t too crazy busy. I guess it’s summer in the city.
Only real disappointment was the cheese plate at the beginning.
Monkfish was outstanding.
Great atmosphere and food. The service was friendly and knowledgeable.
Food was incredible and great atmosphere. This place never disappoints!
This place is amazing with delicious dishes. The chef's tasting menus are a great value and a good way to sample multiple things on the menu. Recommended!
I had not done research prior to booking and had minimal expectations going in (reviews rarely tell all). I was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, good food and excellent service awaited us.
Did not do anything for birthday/proposal. Not even a special note or candle dessert.
Food was very salty
Great food; interesting wine. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. A keeper!
Hands down the best Spanish tapas style restaraunt in Philly! Monkfish and Spanish octopus are both a must!
Food is exceptional as always!!!! Highly recommended!! Like the small plates concept, so you can share them with your friends. Everyone gets to enjoy a bit of everything. Service was nice, professional and knowledgeable. The ambience is nice. There are 3 main sections of dining area.
My boyfriend and I were in Philly for the weekend and were looking to do something a little out of the ordinary for us and decided to visit Tinto. We ended up getting the Pintxo tasting, figuring we could always get more food. It was more than enough for us, and we loved the delicious variety of unique food to try. Cocktails were great too! I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Our server was excellent and attentive. We drank phenomenal wines that catered to our preferences and the tasting menu.
I love Tinto, but my husband is not impressed. He thinks that the food is too small and too pricey. I think it's a matter of what you order. He loved his Tuna brochettes but was underwhelmed with his meatballs. I loved everything - lamb brochettes, deviled crab, and the octopus. The portion of octopus was huge and could have served as an entree. It would be perfect for two/three to share as an appetizer.
I will be back (with the hubbie) and would not hesitate to recommend highly.
Eaten here a few times, loved it each time. Food is amazing, same for the wine list and drinks. Great service every time. Only slight hangup on our most recent visit was the noise level downstairs. There's a bussing station out in the open so it got very loud when they were clearing tables and, mixed with hardwood walls, the noise kind of bounced around. Otherwise loved it.
Excellent food. Fantastic and timely service. Would recommend
We returned to Tinto on a Mid-week overnight getaway , very quiet which was a pleasant surprise ( Friday - Saturday is usually packed ). We started at happy hour in the bar , and the vibe was so mellow that we just had our entire meal there . Bartender was a sweetheart, great service , great wine , great tapas . The duck cannelloni .... wow ! Thanks far another wonderful meal !
Wonderful culinary experience and it was driven nicely by the exceptional service. Will definitely recommend to any friends coming to Philly in the future. Bravo!
We had octopus and trout and they were amazing!!!!!!!!
This place was amazing. Ambiance, portion size, taste, authenticity, and range of options. Far exceeded my expectations.
Arugula salad was salty and lamb fatty. Octopus and Scallops good, but not hot.
Delicious tasting menu. The kitchen easily accommodated dietary restriction and service was great!
Went for my wife’s birthday and had a great experience. Service was top notch (our server Anthony was great) and food exceeded expectations. Would definitely go again.
I had not been to Tinto since the implementation of their new menu. We had a delicious dinner to end a phenomenal day at Center City Jazz Fest! All of the food was incredibly delicious from the tapas to the entrees but the duck cannelloni (fatty, sweet, savory) from the new menu was especially mouthwatering! Rounded off by a great glass of Spanish wine and stellar service we were all incredibly satisfied and satiated! #droolworthy #gaygourmands
The food was amazing but we ordered too much - 3 per person is plenty....but the variety was great. The place is loud - there is no doubt about it. Service was good. Good mixed drinks
The chef's tasting is consistently one of the best culinary experiences in the city
We have been traveling from NJ to Philly to this restaurant specifically for seven plus years without a bad bite no less a bad meal/experience.
Great food experience; each plate was distinct, wonderful and often surprising. Expensive, but memorable.
Tinto is one of my most favorite places in the city. My favorite menu items include the white sangria, the albondigas with the perfectly poached egg and the shrimp appetizer. There is really only one word needed to describe Tinto - awesome.
Food is much more sophisticated than traditional tapas. Many of the dishes have rich sauces, and the sandwiches are far from your ordinary assembly of meat and bread. Wine list has diverse choices of good Spanish wines and service is excellent
