In 2005 four longtime college friends opened Tin Lizzy’s in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, giving their guests a unique taqueria with service rooted in genuine hospitality. Tin Lizzy’s quickly became a popular place to work and to meet friends for refreshing margaritas and delicious FlexMex cuisine. Soon after, other neighborhoods wanted their own Tin Lizzy’s.     This is one of our go-to spots, but we wish the cost of chips and dip was not so outrageous. This is what keeps us from going most of the time.

    Hallie was our Server, yet Chris (GM) aka Super Man stepped in to accommodate my Vegan/Allergy needs. He circle backed a few times to ensure we were good. I haven’t been to TL in over 15 years, glad this location is close to my house. I’ll be back as the Impossible Tacos were pretty good. Just need the Sangria to be made without liquor or option for & it’s Taco Tuesdays every day.

    Food was mediocre. Server managed to get EVERY meal incorrect (no cheese on anything- cheese came on everything). We ordered two of some things- only one of each came out. Overpriced. Won’t be back.

    The service was good and not pushy at all. I had the Taco Salad with grilled chicken and it was very good and more than I could eat. The restaurant is very clean and well laid out, with a fairly large patio. I'll definitely come back.

    We stopped by for a quick lunch before shopping and had a great meal and server. The noise level as moderate however, this was definitely before the dinner rush. The nachos appetizer is also a good choice.

    Food was ok nothing special. Service was not great we had a 25 minute gap between asking for water, containers and our check during a time when the location was not particularly busy.

    This used to be one of my favorite taco spots but the quality of the food has gone down. Overall I would go back but again it’s not as good as it used to be and I have found other spots that do a much better job.

    Sat outside - Plenty of tables and lots of space. Recorded music being payed was loud and it was hard to have conversation at regular volume… but when the live musician began playing it was fine. Very nice to have live music on a Friday night!

    Hi , I came to tin Lizzys because I was visiting town after living here for 10 years and frequenting other locations in the past. I remember the thing they were known for is $4 margaritas everyday. I must have had much lower standards back then because the margaritas (now $11) and food was not good in my opinion . It just felt so mediocre in general without a ton of flavor. I won’t be back. Hi

    My family and I have frequented this location and many other Tin Lizzy’s, multiple times through the years. My boyfriend loves this spot so I made reservations for his birthday over 2-months before the big day. I also confirmed that the restaurant would be ready for us on multiple occasions, with the last being three days before the event. (I spoke with 2-managers to confirm on the last conversations) We had a party of 10 and ordered a mixture of tacos, nachos, and 3-quesadillas. The restaurant was not that busy. When we went inside the dining room, there were several empty tables. Our server only checked on us twice, it took over an hour to get our food, we had to ask multiple times for drink refills, and cheese since the quesadillas had a small amount on them. To make matters worse, a server for the table behind us, bumped into me and dropped a cup of water on another guest. The protein on my taco was cold. It took about 40-minutes to get 2-drinks from the bar. The manager, Caitlyn, stepped in to help our server, but she was very snippy in her responses. I am a corporate trainer of 30 plus locations and have handled much higher volume situations with better customer service/food than we experienced. Overall, the lack of sense of urgency from the kitchen and choppy customer service, left a lot to be desired.

    We had dinner inside because it was really hot when we got there. They must have turned on the air-conditioning because it got freezing cold and my date was uncomfortable. We paid for our meal, which was great (as was our server) and we went to the front desk. I asked if we could move outside and it seemed to confuse the hostess. She called a manager, and they talked and he got very animated and upset and basically told her that it was first come first serve, and that we would have to wait, even though there were 4 open tables that we could see and nobody waiting. We had planned to order drinks and sit and talk, but the hostess said we couldnt do that because a server might lose money. She was argumentative so we said the heck with this and left. It put a damper on what had been a nice evening. I wont ever go back to this location. The staff really needs training, and they need to learn to listen.
