Permanently Closed - Tin Angel in Pioneer Park - Closed
Tonight's visit to Tin Angel was bittersweet. Glad to be there one last time on the last night before closing this location, but sad to see it go. There we toasts and tears all around the patio and we shared in the sentiment. The food was absolutely delicious as usual and the service impeccable. I hope that the eccles theatre location will succeed because Jerry and Kestrel deserve it.
Great tapas, daughter loved the bruschetta, and the martinis were fantastic.
Our server was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was delicious and we were sat promptly. Our 10th anniversary dinner exceeded our expectations. Thank you!
Great place in a strange location. (They are moving September 1). Relaxed atmosphere, wonderful service and appealing menu. The food was good but not outstanding. We were happy we brought our own wine. The wine list was very limited and lower end.
Fabulous service, fabulous food. Would recommend!!
Place was busy but the staff was amazing and attentive. Will return soon.
Cocktails, appetizers, entrees and dessert were all very good to excellent.
Very eclectic and flavorful. Great service.
Great experience at Tin Angel. Was warmly greeted. Service was superb. Food was excellent, fresh & full of flavor.
I was very pleased with the number of vegan options. The food and portions were good. I was, however, seated on a too-warm patio despite having made a reservation. There was an evaporative cooler right next to my table, but it was blowing directly on another patron who asked to have it turned off; it was noisy when it was on and didn't do much to cool the entire space, anyway.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Unique and wonderful dining experience.
All around nice. Most notable was noise but it was an outdoor patio and pretty crowded. will be going back.
Tin Angel is a favorite of ours. We've eaten there several times in the last year. It is a bit expensive as one would expect in a quality restaurant like this but worth it. The food is always a taste experience. The chef is creative which I appreciate. Not the same old thing you get everywhere else. I and one friend had the wild boar stew and my wife had the smoked trout salad and another friend the steak salad. We were all very happy. And we wanted to stay and talk a long time and no one bothered us. Great place.
Very quaint, quiet restaurant with parking. The tenderloin was outstanding, one of the best beef tenderloin dishes I have ever had.. We also enjoyed the gorgonzola gnochi. Try some of their cocktails, which use UT liquor! My partner had sweet vermouth added to the manhatten, and it was absolutely delicious. We will be back!
Kitchen was very slow on the night we dined there. Gnocchi with short rib was very good but the tenderloin entree was overcooked and dry. Shrimp starter was good as were duck tacos.
Hello, Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry that service was slow that night. While we do cook everything in house and that takes time, it should not take so much time that you notice it. It sounds like we missed the mark that night and I apologize. I am glad that you enjoyed most of your dishes. The Espresso Rubbed Beef tenderloin is one of our most popular dishes and is usually juicy and flavorful. I hope you give us another try and that we exceed your expectations!
Sat outside on the patio with luve music on a Thursday night. The food was flavorful and beautiful, the staff attentive, the drinks and pear brulee tart were amazing. A must in SLC.
Thank you so much!
Terrific as always
Smoked Trout salad and daily special ravioli divine. Service was perfect too
Thank you very much!
Absolutely, positively my favorite place to visit when I'm in SLC! No place like it. I come here several times per trip when I visit. Love, love, love this place.
I love the look of this place, very eclectic and interesting. The food was delicious and our server was great!
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
We always enjoy the creative menus, preparation and service.
Thank you very much!
First time here. Enjoyed 2 entree meals that I split with my wife and 4 tappa plates . We just had to try everything. Well not quite, but we will return again when the opportunity presents itself. We got there a few minutes early from our on-line reservations and we were taken to our table where 2 full glasses of ice water and menus awaited us. I also enjoyed the Tin Angel Amber beer, maybe next time we can try some desserts. Thanks again Tin Angel staff for a great meal and service.
While our server was friendly and knowledgeable, we waited almost an hour from the time of ordering until the food was served. I had heard it was a vegetarian-friendly place, they had 2 entrees that were meat free and both were cheese heavy. I had been there before for lunch and enjoyed it so maybe it's just the dinner options.
First of all, piece of cake to make on-line reservation with contact options etc. Next, our party of 3 was greeted nicely and ushered to the outside patio, which was one of 3 options. Drinks were offered and delivered promptly and our orders were taken. A 4th joined us, then a 5th. All these changes were accommodated with ease and elan. The food, atmosphere and service were exceptional. Also, very incognito with the ivy blocking the street!!!
I met a friend for lunch. She likes Tin Angel because she is Vegan and can always find things on the menu that work for her. I had never been but found the food delicious, service great and was so happy to find parking.
Thank you! We are happy we have so much parking too. And I am glad your vegan friend is able to find food she likes!
Always GREAT!!! Only issue was getting lunch menus at a 10:30am reservation for “brunch”. Had to go ask for brunch menus. Everything else was wonderful...
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Long time SLC resident but first time at Tin Angel. It was a nice surprise. I had the daily special which was mushroom ravioli with tri-tip. It was incredible. Our server Taylor was fun and engaging.
Thank you very much! So glad you enjoyed!
