   We had the most amazing server! He was so kind and knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu. The food was delicious and we got to sit near a fire place in the dinning room. Every part of our dinner was wonderful.

   No heat in January! The ambiance is terrible individual tables are not lit well enough. It’s a shame that the owners have continued to ignore the problem. If you eat here in the winter bring sweaters and warm footwear. It’s a shame since the building is beautiful. But the table layout and lighting are a deal breaker. If you’re looking for charm an intimate dinner experience. The beautiful fireplace is sectioned off in a silly seating group which has little to do with the table service or bar. So many iconic western restaurants such as the famous dinning rooms during the WPA, would great to research as examples. Frankly a woman’s touch is much needed. Susan Steindler

   We came in for dinner on New Year's Eve. and had reservations so we didn't have to wait long. It was fairly busy in the restaurant... but not so busy that we should have had to wait so long for our drinks and food. There is only one bartender for the whole place, and our drinks (3 of them) took a good 10-15 minutes. As well, our food took and exceptionally long time, so much that half of our meals weren't quite warm. It's too back, because we want to love this place!

    We brought our visiting relatives to the Timbers for a celebratory dinner. The booth where we were seated was ideal. The 87 and 96 year olds in our party remarked on how much they enjoyed being able to hear the dinner conversations. The food was spectacular. The service was excellent.

    My party of 4 enjoyed going to Timbers for Christmas Eve dinner. We had the choice to order off of the menu or order from a special Christmas Eve prix fixe menu for $60. All of us ordered off of the special menu. We all received the same type of salad as our second course, but we chose our own appetizer, entree and dessert. Two of us had salmon and two had prime rib as our entree. Our food was delicious and our service was amazingly attentive for such a busy night. I would absolutely do it again.

    I would suggest Timbers for any occasion or just a night out. The food was great and our waiter was the BEST! The prices are a little high but not for what you get. We live in Lompoc and we decided while we were there that it is worth the drive to Goleta!

    This was our first visit to Timbers. Very quiet on a Sunday evening. Everything about the place is great. Philip our server was Outstanding. One of the very best Filets I've ever had!

    Her birthday. Our waiter Phillip was awesome! Food portions were generous while the prices were as we had expected; that’s a plus in our book. Everything was perfectly prepared (and tasted even better as leftovers for a second-day meal!) All the years we’ve both lived in the area, it was our first time at The Timbers. Great to see it open once again, and hopeful to see it thrive so we can return on regular occasions.

    My family and I had a lovely dinner at Timber's Restaurant. Our reservations were for 7:30 pm on a Sunday evening and we were helped and seated right away. The restaurant was absolutely lovely, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was excellent. Looking forward to going back. It's a really nice place for a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary.

    We were visiting Goleta for a wedding and found The Timbers to be a great choice for our evening meal. The food was good, and our server Philip was exceptional. We really enjoyed our dinner.

    Excellent food and service! It was a warm night, and with no A/C, somewhat uncomfortable. Loud band in the bar made seating limited for us. We will definitely go back on a cooler night!

    Wonderful potential for a truly Goodland destination. They must pay more attention to their lighting design. As many restaurants lack attention to good lighting design like that in so many dining experiences in this ultra expensive town. It would be wonderful to see Timbers hire a designer that could come up with innovative but affordable solutions to enhance this remarkable structure! Susan Steindler io3d.is

    My wife ordered the blackened halibut special, was over-cooked and very bland. I ordered the herb crusted chicken breast and it was pretty much tasteless, other than some flavoring in the crust. Portions were decent size. Seemed like all menu items were a little overpriced

    My fish & chips were great! The Baja chicken salad hardly had any chicken, good flavor though. The catch of the day (halibut) was over cooked. The salmon was good but didn’t care for the sauce on top. We went for the live entertainment that was playing that night. We had a great time!

    So glad the Timbers has opened backup. We were greeted promptly and were seated. Could not say enough nice things about our server, Filip. He explained the fish of the day, so I had halibut and so did my husband. He had his blacken and said it was just right. The entrées came with soup or salad excellent rice pilaf and broccolini. I tasted The Presley Albariño and got a glass, it was OK. Filip recommended Institution RX Pilsner for my husband, who said it hit the spot. Filip was friendly, made sure we had water and poured it. Just a great dining experience and we will be back.

    We came for lunch Sunday and sat outside. Our food was under seasoned so very bland. The fried chicken sandwich was really tender but had no flavor at all. We were all fairly underwhelmed.

    The outdoor area is really great for families or adults with children. Pet friendly. Will be going back... I had a really good prime rib dinner, and the prices are reasonable.

    Our group of 12 had a wonderful time. They were were especially pleased with the table setup as it allowed all of us to participate in many of the conversations. Everyone was very impressed with the service, the servers couldn't have been more helpful, patient, courteous and kind. The food was delicious and plentiful. Everyone agreed we'd like to come back and do the same type of setup. Thank you Timbers Restaurant and all who made our day special!

    Our waitress was new but very sweet. 3 people in our group ordered pasta and they said that the sauce was very bland. We were there about 2 hours so don’t plan on getting in and out quickly. There was an awful band playing which was not appropriate for those of us trying to have dinner. They should’ve played later in the night or not at all.
