Timber Woodfire Bistro
Cooking in this way imparts a slight smokiness as it brings out the natural flavors of the food. A juicy ribeye sizzles and caramelizes, giving the tender beef a gorgeous crust. The homemade dough for our pizzas rises in the heat, and the crust gets to be the perfect combination of crisp and chewy. Vegetables share an entirely new flavor profile when cooked over wood. Dining at Timber brings an experience both classic and innovative. Come eat and drink with us as you watch our fireflies dance above the wood-fired grill.

Timber not only has great food and service but a very comfortable atmosphere to get together for brunch, lunch or dinner.
I made a reservation for a special birthday fairly far in advance for four people for appetizers and dinner. We arrived early enough for Happy Hour. We asked about sitting by the fireplace. Once we were seated they said Oh the fireplace is not working. When we went to order they said So Sorry, Happy Hour is only on the other side of the restaurant. We had already ordered drinks. All could have been averted with a simple explanation at the host stand.
There were other mishaps. Generally, I like the restaurant and live near by so would like to support. I will stay away for awhile and see if they figure out some on the kinks.
The sort of upscale lodge-y décor didn't really appeal to me. Food was good but not great. Cocktails were served in silver cups so you couldn't see the contents. This takes away from the presentation of the drink and some of the enjoyment (for example, I didn't realize there were fresh strawberries in mine until I sucked one up with my straw!) of it.
The wine was excellent. The food was outstanding. Creative menu. The service was great. Will be back and so will all of my friends that were there.
Was pleased with everything! Service was on point, and very kind. Food was good, and nobody was upset or offput by their choices. Quite a dynamic menu with good choices.
Food was good and the service was great. Everyone enjoyed their pizzas. Sandwiches were big. Beer was good.
The atmosphere was warm & friendly, prompt service, excellent food. I have dined at Timber & Railcar several times over the past year and have never been disappointed.
Wow! What a gem of a restaurant. Perfectly designed interior with excellent food and service to match.
The service here was incredible! From the moment you walk towards the door to the server. I was impressed with the team work of all the employees working together. The timber fries and gratin were also yummy. I didn't give 5 stars due to the pizza I ordered. Some of the ingredients shouldn't be used on veggie pizza (celery).
Great ambiance and great food. What else are you looking for? Oh yeah, great value! Not on the low end of price, but everything was very good and worth the price. Will be returning for sure!
Visiting Omaha for the weekend and found this gem near the mall. Awesome food and great service! We each had a different pizza and all were fabulous!
Only complaint, it would have been nice to be able to take advantage of happy hour prices in the dining room. It was too loud in the bar area to eat. This was our first visit and all 3 members of my party loved the food and we all had something different.
We liked Timber. Although thought it was a little pricey which didn’t fit the atmosphere.
The food was really good and our service was outstanding. The one drawback was the noise level was a little too high making it difficult to carry on a conversation.
We had outstanding service from Jaffery which made our dining experience very special. He made good recommendations and the timing of the meal was on point.
Great atmosphere and location. We plan to try their brunch next time!
We went just for happy hour but they were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice!
Have visited twice and was not disappointed either time. Great food, nice casual but upscale atmosphere. Love the wood fire oven menu. Service was a little slow getting the order for drinks last time, but it all worked out. Will definitely be back!
The hostess was very rude in regards to our reservation that was made 3.5 hours prior to our arrival time. Honestly it was the the deciding factor if I will ever be going back and it will be a hard pass. We were excited for the new menu but at $25 plus for a main dish the need to hire a better hostess.
Prices were on point with experience.
Food was great, and menu was fresh and new. This is our second time here and we would come back for sure.
The food was very good and the service was exceptional. Parking was easy and the tables were just far enough from each other that you do not feel like you're having some sort of communal reading experience (I hate when you pay good money for what amounts to large picnic table seating). We will definitely return to this restaurant!
Enjoyed our ten person party without an added gratuity, so very appreciative of that. We were seated in the small room to the east in the back. The fireplace needs to be managed. It was way too hot. But...the services was amazing, the food was incredible, and the night was a success. Highly suggest the warm boards, but order an extra focaccia if get one, you'll need more bread. We'll be back, that's for sure.
Food was not up to usual — some errors and quality problems, but all were corrected and adequate adjustments were made on final bill.
They seem to be getting pretty popular, and may need to staff up a bit for higher volume.
I’ll be returning for the food— excellent chef and quality.
The wait person was extremely slow. It wasn't very busy when we were there. It took forever to get the wine and cocktail we ordered. We had to ask twice about the appetizer. Each of us liked our entrés and wedge salad. We were never offered water refills. Luckily we were sitting next the ledge where the water pitcher was, and we poured our own. Three of us were sharing a bottle of wine but my husband was never offered another cocktail. We liked the ambiance and it wasn't super noisy. I'm not sure I would recommend it to a friend based on the poor service.
We have dined her on several occasion and have always enjoyed our meals. However, this past visit, the service was terribly off.
slow service, food came out cold, had to be sent back, only one other table so its not like they were busy
Our server was amazing and the food was very good. They have unique meal options to choose from. Give it a try.
Food, drinks, atmosphere and service was awesome! My salmon was amazing but very pricey for salmon and a few pieces of asparagus. Also the wine pours were small.
Great happy hour. Unique menu. Good service. Neighbor convenience.
My wife and I wanted to try a new restaurant on our anniversary. We were seated next to a large table of screeching ladies and couldn’t hear each other the first half of our meal. We ordered the shrimp and crab crab cakes as an appetizer and they were delicious. For dinner I ordered the meatloaf and my ordered the sea bass. My meatloaf was burned and hard as a rock. My wife enjoyed the fish, but the risotto it came with was not good. We finished with the cherry streusel which was very good. I don’t think I would go back.
I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but my Sunday brunch this last weekend was a disaster. There were six of us, so a bigger party, but not huge. We ordered and then proceeded to watch four more tables walk in and get served prior to us. We asked if our food had been forgotten and got a rather snippy "no." Then, they randomly brought us two cinnamon rolls and said they were complimentary with brunch. However, no one else got cinnamon rolls. There were a number of other snafus that occurred with water glasses and to-go boxes, but our biggest frustration was the delay in our food. It was over an hour. I think they should have just admitted there was an issue rather than lie to us. It was super frustrating. We won't be back. (Oh, and I picked this place to share with my out of town family hoping for a nice experience. I was embarrassed that "my pick" went so poorly.)
Mussels-outstanding. Wedge salad great. Meat loaf- Dissapointing, Presentation less than. Lacking on desserts.
My expectations exceeded our dinner. Our appetizer of shrimp and crab cakes overpriced for only 2. The side dinner salad was great but an additional $6 and the paella and seafood risotto not very good. Might give it another try but not a must.
Was the perfect little spot for date night. The food was great - awesome value for the price. The ribs were amazing! Happy hour prices were good - make sure you get before 6:30 to take advantage. Waiter was nice and helpful and the wine was good. Definitely will be going back!
Love the smells, authentic wood fire and leather smells. Great ambiance. I liked the food selection, not too much or too little, excellent gluten free options.
The only criticism is the somewhat limited menu. The choices aren't necessarily varied enough to appeal to a wider audience. However, our clam chowder, and salad options were very good. At noon on a weekday, the noise level was not close to being an issue. Service was excellent. We'll go back.
Service was great and the waiter and host were very polite. It was so enjoyable eating brunch outside on the patio.
Good atmosphere, our server was also the bartender however we were not seated at the bar. So sometimes it would take a long time for her to come back and check on us or get us refills, however other staff was decent about stepping in and helping. Food tasted great, enjoyed the endless brunch drinks.
The meal started off with a salad and the house dressing, very good. For the main course a Timburger cooked perfectly to order, it was awesome. Dessert was the chocolate cake, again very good.
This place was very good. I had never even heard of it until I googled places to eat in Omaha. I am very glad I chose this place for dinner. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (food and drink). All of the food from the appetizers to the dessert were amazing. Prices we're on the higher side of things but it is an upscale restaurant. I would definitely visit this place again!
Chris the bartender was great! He did an excellent job serving as well as making conversation at the bar. He made recommendations for the Omaha Restaurant Week and they were spot on.
