Ever since the first caveman decided to slap a side of mammoth over the cave fire, man (and woman) has enjoyed the flavor of food cooked over a wood fire. At Timber Wood-Fire Bistro, all of our dishes are made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients. They are then cooked either over our state-of-the-art wood burning grill or in a brick oven heated by the embers of logs.
Cooking in this way imparts a slight smokiness as it brings out the natural flavors of the food. A juicy ribeye sizzles and caramelizes, giving the tender beef a gorgeous crust. The homemade dough for our pizzas rises in the heat, and the crust gets to be the perfect combination of crisp and chewy. Vegetables share an entirely new flavor profile when cooked over wood. Waited an hour. My drink took 30 minutes to come to the table. My order came out in spurts. The first two plates were cold. I asked for a manager and was not acknowledged or spoken to. Needless to say I was not happy with my FIRST TIME experience.

It was good. We were looking for someplace that replicates Punch Pizza from Minnesota. This was close but not quite there. We can speak highly of your place although we will try other local wood-fired pizza places to see if they are closer to the pizzas at Punch.

Food was good, aesthetic was odd and a lot of red, which felt uncomfortable. The Christmas lights still on the wall art were very distracting and chaotic as well, and it was more of a bar feel than the food and menu suggested. Brussel sprouts were amazing. I didn’t care for the ricotta and brioche, it lacked balance of the butteriness and cream, just felt too heavy. The filet was great. The soup of the day was supposed to be tomato according to our server but was a ham and bean-it was good, but very salty. Our server didn’t notice but we also didn’t say anything. The wine prices were good, the wine glasses were very thin and felt odd -like it would shatter in my mouth-so I didn’t care for that. The staff were all very courteous and punctual. Overall it was a good place to eat, but I’m not sure I would make an effort to go back on a regular basis.

The cinnamon rolls were sold out. My food was cold and sloppy. Service took a while and the server didn’t follow up. I asked for no dairy products on my food and it still came out with dairy on it. Disappointed as I came with someone who had never tried the restaurant. Won’t go back.

We went here for brunch for my birthday. I’ve been here another time for brunch and really enjoyed it but this time it wasn’t nearly as good. My kids both had French toast and neither of them ate more than half of their food. It was very sweet and a bit too soggy. I think it maybe had some type of caramel syrup on it. I had the Croque which is ham on brioche bread topped with over easy eggs and hollandaise sauce, unfortunately it was so salty I could barely eat it. It also came with hash browns which had too much seasoning for my taste. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, the manager also served the food and he seems nice. It wasn’t insanely busy or anything I think mine was just over seasoned. I’ll come back and try their pizza but I was fairly disappointed in the amount of money I spent for what we got.

Need a bit more personality with staff. We have young children, but still enjoy going out to lunch with my wife. We are always treated differently when we have 1 or more of our kids with us. We were not offered a highchair, and had to ask the server for one, then hostess brought one and asked if we were the ones needing a highchair with 1 yr old in our arms. Server never told us what the specials we were, but told the table next to us (no kids) after we had already ordered our food. We would've ordered the Fish&Chips if we were presented with the specials. We used to enjoy eating out at select restaurants, and expect the service to be a 10 and results are at best a 5. Food was great, service/experience not so much. If we do come back, it will be a to-go order.

This was our first time here and had such an awful experience. We walked into the restaurant and there was smoke everywhere in the air. They seated us at the “chef’s counter” in front of a grill that was just billowing out smoke like the hood above it wasn’t working. We didn’t last a minute there before asking to be reseated. The only other option was the bar which was fine. The bartenders were friendly and we ordered a couple drinks, the salmon and the prohibition chicken. The salmon itself was ok but lacked flavor, the potatoes were mediocre as well and the veggies were burnt to a crisp and tasted like a bonfire. The chicken was burnt as well and so dry I couldn’t eat more than 3 bites. It came with the same mediocre potatoes and burnt, heavily smoked vegetables that I couldn’t eat. I made a comment to the bartender about the awful food and he never apologized or anything and actually asked me if I wanted a box for my meal. I obviously said no, paid the $85 bill for absolute trash and left smelling like we sat around a fire pit all night. I will not be back.
