Timber Woodfire Bistro
Cooking in this way imparts a slight smokiness as it brings out the natural flavors of the food. A juicy ribeye sizzles and caramelizes, giving the tender beef a gorgeous crust. The homemade dough for our pizzas rises in the heat, and the crust gets to be the perfect combination of crisp and chewy. Vegetables share an entirely new flavor profile when cooked over wood. Dining at Timber brings an experience both classic and innovative. Come eat and drink with us as you watch our fireflies dance above the wood-fired grill.
Great food, service & atmosphere!
Had a nice time at the bar and in the dining area. Dinner was delicious as we had four different meals served with our group and they all were on the mark. Medallions were probably my favorite. Looking forward in going back to try the Timber Pie
Great service and food.
I've given Timber three tries to be a good restaurant as I live close by and every time it is underwhelming. The Cedar Plank Salmon with soy and ginger was flavorless and raw in the middle. The pork schnitzel was the only adequate part of the meal but unmemorable. Dessert was a piece of cold cake service with cold what appeared to be canned berries. I also had the creme brûlée which was cold and the top was not fired properly. We ordered Pellegrino. The server set the unopened bottle and glasses on the table and walked away. I opened the bottle and poured our glasses. For $120 meal I expect more and the owner, chef and staff should be making it a better experience for the price.
I had the duck breast with roasted veggies and wild rice. Very good.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. One of the best places in Omaha!
The service was not very good, waitress did not check on us very regularly. We had to stop her as she passed by in order to take order and order drinks. The food was not very good. Pizza was okay, wedge salad was fabulous.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Food and service was ok at best. Cool place on the inside but that was the only positive.
Really wanted to like this place more than we did. It was almost really good. Got seated pretty quickly on a Fri night - appreciated that the hostess offered the bar and told us about the happy hour - it was our first visit. The meatball app was delicious, and we really liked the wedge salad, which was a bit different that the norm. Ordered the lamb osso bucco - the sides were really good, but the lamb was a really small portion and it did not at all fall off the bone - quite the opposite - I felt like it had been cooked previously and just reheated. My wife had the filet medallions - they tasted good but were overcooked. Our server was very nice but there were gaps in service and he struggled to bus our table as the different courses came out. We'll give it another try - heard good things previously.
Timber is nothing less then amazing. We’ve been there twice and they never fail to impress us
It was New Year's Eve so possibly more hectic than usual. We liked our server however we did not receive some items and had to ask. Food was very good. We will give it another shot on a non holiday.
The service and the atmosphere were excellent. However, food was mediocre. Half of my meal was cold. The other diners with us complained that their entrées were overcooked.
Server was young, inexperienced, and literally “rushed the table “ every time he came to talk to us. Since our rezo was at 8:30 I doubt our table was sold for another seating . Even if it was, this was some pretty rough service. Food was well prepared , decent value.
Hosted a group of 8 friends for New Year dinner. We really wanted to enjoy the dinner, but we had some problems with the food. My wife’s meal came with uncooked rice and had to be sent back, and then that revised meal had over cooked meat. They did make it right, but she didn’t end up eating until after we were all finished. Most people found the meals werent that good, the pizza was pretty terrible, and one of my friends ordered a cappuccino that came without any espresso! We know it’s a busy time of year, but expect more from a nice restaurant. It’s usually a nice place when it’s quiet, but I think they had trouble with the high traffic on New Year’s
Service was incredibly, drinks were delicious and the food was absolutely amazing!
We celebrated NYE at Timber Wood. This was also our first time
To dine here.
We enjoyed every moment! The reservation was right on time.
Service was very good. Waiter very friendly and knowledgeable
We were not rushed and the food was incredibly delicious.
The only negative, too many tempting entrees and starters to choose from.
We will definitely be back.
New Year’s. We made a reservation via open table app. Got to the restaurant to be told by both hostesses that unless we had a call to confirm the reservation that the only thing available was bar seating or a community table. I’ve made many reservations online through open table and have never been told this. The server and the food were both great. I’m not sure if we’ll go back. Did not feel very welcome.
Was a good experience; however, was disappointed that the full menu wasn't available -- a limited menu was offered on New Year's Eve. Some of the options we would have chosen from the full menu weren't offered on the limited menu. Had we known that ahead of time, we may have chosen a different restaurant.
Food was great but it takes awhile to get your food. Not a place to visit if your in a rush.
This was a great find! Food was amazing! I cannot wait to revisit!
Had a friend come back into town so we decided to come here for a small reunion. The atmosphere is great. The lighting and slight smokey smell in the air make it very relaxing. Even though it was busy still when we got there at 2100 our table was ready in short time and the noise level was not bad. We sat further in the back and could easily have a nice conversation. Would definitely return.
The website stated restaurant was vegan friendly but there was only one option for my daughter. Should update the website or create more vegan options.
Great service but food was average.
Excellent food and preparation Excellent service. Great wines. Must try special dinners with wine presentation and tasting between meal courses.
loved the food. the happy hour and the main menu. disappointed with the service. the waiter serving us was also the bartender and the bar area seats were all full so his concentration was focused there.
Great server, Eve. Loved the vibe. My wife had great prime rib. I had a huge bacon pork chop that was smothered in THICK creamy (wall paper paste) mushroom gravy. The chop had a lot of splintered bones and griesle. The cut of meat appeared to be a thick cut of pork shoulder, slow cooked to make it tender. The waitress said it is very popular but it wasn't for me.
I would recommend The Timber Woodfire Bistro to others.
Had an amazing time at Timber with friends. Eve provided us great service and the food was on point! Get the coconut shrimp on your visit.
We love having Timber in the neighborhood! The food always tastes fresh and is well-prepared. Chef Jared is able to accommodate our sons allergies to peanuts, treenuts and eggs.
Food was very good and near great for brunch. Service from Cayla was extremely poor. Order was wrong and she did not write down order. This never works. Food was brought by others (not a fan of platoon service). Cayla never came back, so no refills and no way to make order right. No salt and pepper on table and no offer of condiments. One bar drink only, no return by server to order more. Place was not busy, so no excuses. Servers stood yakking near kitchen. Although the food was good it is difficult to come back again and impossible to recommend to others. Management needs to run a tighter ship and improve the customer's experience. Very disappointed.
Lots of options on the menu from pizza to lobster and scallops. Our meals were well-cooked, came quickly, and tasted wonderful. The service was great as well. The only downside was the noise level - it was difficult for me to hear.
Love the atmosphere, very quiet. Food was delicious. Service was good.
Timber not only has great food and service but a very comfortable atmosphere to get together for brunch, lunch or dinner.
I made a reservation for a special birthday fairly far in advance for four people for appetizers and dinner. We arrived early enough for Happy Hour. We asked about sitting by the fireplace. Once we were seated they said Oh the fireplace is not working. When we went to order they said So Sorry, Happy Hour is only on the other side of the restaurant. We had already ordered drinks. All could have been averted with a simple explanation at the host stand.
There were other mishaps. Generally, I like the restaurant and live near by so would like to support. I will stay away for awhile and see if they figure out some on the kinks.
The sort of upscale lodge-y décor didn't really appeal to me. Food was good but not great. Cocktails were served in silver cups so you couldn't see the contents. This takes away from the presentation of the drink and some of the enjoyment (for example, I didn't realize there were fresh strawberries in mine until I sucked one up with my straw!) of it.
The wine was excellent. The food was outstanding. Creative menu. The service was great. Will be back and so will all of my friends that were there.
Was pleased with everything! Service was on point, and very kind. Food was good, and nobody was upset or offput by their choices. Quite a dynamic menu with good choices.
Food was good and the service was great. Everyone enjoyed their pizzas. Sandwiches were big. Beer was good.
The atmosphere was warm & friendly, prompt service, excellent food. I have dined at Timber & Railcar several times over the past year and have never been disappointed.
Wow! What a gem of a restaurant. Perfectly designed interior with excellent food and service to match.
The service here was incredible! From the moment you walk towards the door to the server. I was impressed with the team work of all the employees working together. The timber fries and gratin were also yummy. I didn't give 5 stars due to the pizza I ordered. Some of the ingredients shouldn't be used on veggie pizza (celery).
