    Appetizers (Brussels sprouts, onion rings), cocktails and entrees (lemon and shrimp risotto, salmon Louisiane) were EXCELLENT. Steak knife burger and pork ribeye weren't worth the price, but tasted good. Dessert left something to be desired. Not a real cream cheese cheesecake, tiramisu lacked flavor and flourlesss chocolate torte was very dry. Or server was excellent, kept us updated on the process of our meal and drinks. She was knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a nice night out.

    The views looking out the windows is spectacular. We had breakfast and it was great. I got the breakfast passes with our room. It is a little pricey so not sure a family would be able to eat here. Service was good and people are friendly.

    The service was 5 Star! After mentioning to our server that this was a bucket list stop and that I had been an Arbor Day member since 1987, she spoke with the manager and they comped our dinner. Totally unexpected, a very pleasant surprise. This was so appreciated!. After an experience like this, how could we not give Timbers and Lied Lodge a 5 Star rating.

    Food was excellent. We have asked for a window seat the last 3 times. Don’t know what we can do to make this happen. Our waitress was excellent.

    Chicken dumpling soup was not good: dumplings were spaetzel and soggy; Broth was quite savory but didn't taste like chicken broth; Meat was dark cubes & Did not taste like chicken. Flat bread was great. Steak was a good as Applebee's. Banana cheesecake awesome and light. Kale salad was very good. Service was good.

    My son and I enjoyed dinner and drinks on the patio on a quiet, warm evening. The food and service were excellent. The portions were generous enough to allow for take-home containers.

    Best french fries and Orchard Salad plus our waitress was top-notch. Would be nice to have a few options at a lower price-point, but splitting entrees left us with plenty of food. Highly recommend!

    Lounge chairs weren't the most comfortable and mixed drink price was on the higher end, but the food and service made it worthwhile to hang out and wait for our restaurant reservation at the Timbers. Wonderful evening meal and ample serving size.

    We were passing through the area on our way to Mt. Rushmore and had a light dinner at Timbers/Lied Lodge. The hostess was so kind and helped us find a place to park our motor home while we ate dinner. Our server was wonderful as well as our food. The flat bread and hummus appetizers were excellent and the salmon on the caeser salad was perfect. We would love to stop again if we're in the area.

    Service was outstanding. The Shrimp Rosetta with asparagus was not what we expected- but excellent. Beautiful views and a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. Will be returning this week while on vacation.

    We have again enjoyed a beautiful three day stay at Lied Lodge. It is a gem on the prairie and the weather has been perfect. Perfect to have lodging with olympic size pool, hot tub, sauna, upscale casual dining all in one large lodge surrounded by walking trails and woods.

    We ate at Timbers for breakfast and dinner. Staff was friendly and took good care of us. Food was good and portions were just right for dinner. The ambiance was wonderful. There was no music blaring and it was nice to be able to hear my family. The dining room is beautiful with wonderful views.

    Beautiful setting, delicious food, great place to dine for special occasions. We requested a table by the window but were told those were not available to "our server"? There were several tables there open, but we were not seated there. As it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we were a bit disappointed. Our server was friendly, but made herself quite scarce. She only came to our table, first to take our order, and then to bring food out. She spent a lot of time in the kitchen with other staff, who seemed to be having a good time out there! She did OK, but we would have appreciated being able to ask her questions, etc. more frequently. Food was great. We did really appreciate the special desserts we were given.

    Beautiful setting, very good service. Food presentation nice. No Flavor. Chicken had no seasoning. Pesto was flat, no garlic, no parm, no basil taste. Sweet potato fries over cooked. Very disappointed.

    I ordered the shredded beef pot roast special and it was fantastic! It was hard to choose because everything on the menu looks great. This is my second time eating at Timbers and if I lived closer I would be there at least weekly! Great service. My only complaint was the children running around the dining room - but I guess it is a family friendly hotel/destination.

    My wife and i went here to eat dinner with our 15 month old son. The place was busy for the few staff, but our waitress rocked it, taking care of us ,especially our little one, and making our evening even better! The pretzel app was amazing. And i have never had a pork ribeye that flavorfull with the corn and sweet potato complimenting it.. The beef ribeye was also good but can't rave enough about the pork. It's totally worth the trip!
