Food is below average and when factoring in the prices, I would not return or recommend this place to anybody. We had the Sticky Ribs and they were inedible. My brother had the Fish & Chips and they tasted like the Mrs. Paul’s fish stick my mother made for us in the ‘60s. I had the Short Rib and it was bland served with some type of vegetable purée and it was lukewarm at best. The restaurant was not busy, no wonder, so the service was good. Very disappointing!

Love the location of Torch & Timber...it was St. Patty's Day so the base was hopping from the beautiful weather & everyone wearing green! Service was great and we enjoyed also watching March Madness on the big screen TV while eating dinner!

Three of us dined. The salmon and gnocchi were very good. The steak was minuscule, maybe 4 ounces before cooking, but priced like a full cut of meat. The server was excellent.

Service was excellent and the food was good. The restaurant is directly adjacent to the gondola area at the ski resort so he has a tendency to be pretty noisy but not in a bad way. If you’re looking for a place to eat, that’s right adjacent to the ski area. It’s a great option.

We were staying in the Sheraton and ate here for an easy weekday dinner after skiing. Our server was excellent- friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. We shared a winter greens salad, then had timber tatchos and the salmon. The food was good but overpriced for what you get but we expected as much since its a restaurant in a resort hotel.

Wonderful location right at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort. Curried Coconut Mussels app was outstanding. Braised Short Rib was good but Luke warm. The bed of Apple Yam smash up it sat on was quite tasty. Very lively bar here too. Cheers to an epic snow season in Steamboat!!!!

The place needs to decide if it wants to focus on Apres, or up it’s food quality commiserate with their prices. Fish and chips nothing special. Chicken pot pie was not good, very little chicken, all onions, mushy potatoes , and a few peas. (Pastry looked great though). Slopeside is a couple of minutes away , cheaper, and the food is 100x better.

We went here for Valentines Day. Bailey, our waitress was absolutely top notch in service and personality. The food from the Curry mussels shareable to our customized main entrees(Slow roasted Lamb Shanks and Wild Mushroom gnocchi w/ added yellow Curry were amazing. The Manhattan and Old Fashion cocktails were flavorful and mixed to our delight. Two live bands played music to fill the rooms with festive tunes soft enough so you could still have a conversation easily. We live in Steamboat and this was our first time to Timber and Torch...we'll definitely be back. This place has yet to receive it's proper notoriety.

Sadly, the Super Bowl experience we had hoped for did not come true - and it was not necessarily because of the internet/computer outage experienced by the restaurant. Having visited Timber and Torch on two other occasions in the last few years, I can honestly say that there is no good word to say about the service - and this tells me that the training for servers or the overall buy-in for waitstaff as being an important part of the business is lacking. Management might want to look at their part in this, because service cannot stay this bad for this long.

My server was amazing she was great and helped me pick out my meal. She was obviously weeded with tables. They weren’t staffed enough but she still did great. I noticed that they were a little behind on cleaning tables in between as well. I will definitely come back though

Decided last minute to have dinner by the gondola. Service was spotty but server was very pleasant. Sticky ribs were very tender but very messy. Ask for extra napkins. Beet salad was enough for two. Salmon and short rib entrees were good but not piping hot. Brownie sundae was killer.

Great dinner with family, the mussels were awesome, and the short ribs and burger were great, definitely will be back for dinner. Our server Nick was the best, and very attentive, he seemed to show up at the perfect time and was social but not over the top. He delivered great service.

We arrived before our 5:30 dinner reservation and our large party was able to be seated quickly. The hostess did inform us before seating us that at this time the menu is shorter than the full dinner menu available at 5:30 so I appreciated that. We still enjoyed every dish we ordered (full drink menu available!) Our waitress was friendly and provided great service. The live background music was an acoustic guitar singer and very enjoyable to listen too. Really great atmosphere and would definitely go there again!

I want to love this restaurant but the dinner menu is just so limited and there were no draft beers with a very limited pre-packaged list. Only one vegetarian entree and no veggie burger. Very few staple appetizers. My salad was beautiful and delicious though.

We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food and drinks were in this restaurant at the Sheraton at the base of Steamboat Square. We weren't expecting much but their version of nachos was AMAZING as was their lamb shank and fish and chips. The tequila cocktails did not disappoint! Our only disappointment was that it was NYE so it wasn't the full menu - but they easily accommodated my one picky eating child! We will definitely return. Thanks for a great meal and a fun early NYE!

This place was such a disappointment. The food was expensive and terrible. We ordered several salads with grilled chicken or grilled shrimp added. The protein was bland and not cooked well. The salads cost $25+ each and were the size of a small side salad. There are so many excellent restaurants in Steamboat. Skip this one.

Has moved towards more of a higher-end menu with quite moderate portion sizes. Although the short ribs are tasty, don't expect a ton of meat and know it won't be served on cornbread. Staff was great and very friendly.
